    Callahan Brothers Floors Inc
Mike Callahan closely supervised his men and also kept in contact with me in person, by phone and by email so everything went smoothly. The crew was professional, polite and efficient . Mike's choice of stain color was sublime and the floors look wonderful .I appreciate his suggestion of 3 coats of polyurethane as I have young grandchildren. It is my pleasure to recommend the Callahan Brothers as they exhibited a high level of professionalism.{ Note it is a 3 day job but summer and proximity to water required 6 days before I could walk on the floors with socks.]

    AJC Designs Construction Inc
Artie from AJC was extremely professional and showed up each time for all our meetings exactly when he said he would. He was very easy to get along with and was willing to work with you and be flexible. This was important when planning such a large project. Due to personal reasons, we ended up not moving forward with the project at the time. However, based on our experience in the planning stages with Artie, I would encourage others to give him a chance for their project.

Bob is a reliable, hands-on, owner with an amazing team of highly skilled workers. His price was reasonable and he kept to the budget. He was always able to resolve any issues that came up during the project with solutions that added value to the overall result.

As a Real Estate Agent and retail store owner, I have worked with dozens of Contractors. I have never has such a pleasant experience nor been so happy with the final results! He was very conscientious about timing and the necessity of staying on schedule.

Since our opening we have received countless praises on the store design. Robert was able to understand the vision and execute the plan flawlessly.

Having recently purchased a home, Bob has also helped me with some changes, including refinishing the floors before I moved in.. Right now I am planning a bathroom remodel and will be hiring Silver Fox ltd.. for that project next month.

Mike and his crew were professional, dealt with a major problem and were available at the right time. The floors in one room were damaged by pet urine well beyond repaid. They pulled the flooring and cleaned the subfloor underneath. It was a gross job and we are very happy that Mike and crew were able to take care of it for us!
They also sanded, stained and refinished all the wood floors through the house. The floors look great now, and are attracting a lot of compliments!

So not sure what to say here  though... I liked guys who did it very much but I feel like there were two major screw ups
    1) I asked them to use a Bona Traffic  instead they did a Bona Mega(a lesser finish)
    2) I asked them to do Matte finish -- they did semigloss.
After I pointed  out the mistake they did offer to do one extra coat of Bona Traffic at no cost.  Unfortunately I was on tight schedule and needed to move in -- there was no time to wait extra few days for proper curing to occur
    There are other imperfections:
    1) There is what looks like a finish spill near a radiator on the second floor that dried up -- it is in the corner and hardly noticeable.
    2) We have a box that covers a duct and I asked them to go under it and remove the carpet that was dangling there.
They claimed that they were not able to do it.  I was able to do it myself in other rooms  -- and I am not a professional contractor so that indicates laziness.
Overall floor looks good and they did complete it on time  but it is just not the finish I wanted,

    Aquarius Plumbing
Brian is a blessing! Never used him before but searched Angie's list for a reliable plumber when my usual plumber and a friend's plumber were both unavailable. Talk about bad luck! I developed not 1 but 2 independent leaks in my basement at the same time. The water was traveling under carpet and saturating the foam padding which acted like a sponge. You couldn't see the water until you stepped on the carpet and then suddenly you would see a footprint that was completely wet.  One leak was from a recirculating Taco pump used for heating water in my shower and the other leak was 15 feet away and was a tiny pinhole leak in an old pipe attached to the main water feed pipe! It was leaking about 4 feet above the ground and coming out sideways hitting a door and dripping down onto the floor.
Brian called me back in about 20 minutes and came over 20 minutes later and I showed him the 2 problems. He immediately turned off the recirculator pump so it would stop leaking. He will be back to replace the leaky pump in 1-2 days once he gets the proper Taco model.  The other major leak was stopped when he turned off the main water supply at the bottom of my driveway and then cut the rotten copper pipe off and capped a new shorter pipe so it wouldn't leak. He actually had to do that twice because the first time it wouldn't seal properly. He spent nearly 2 hours getting it right and charged me a very reasonable price ($150). The replacement cost for the Taco will be about $180 plus labor and I expect it to get done in a few days.
Considering it was the Saturday right before Easter I consider Brian to be a savior of sorts!

Very good and professional work. Very prompt and polite. Everything Rory said he did. At the end he left the place clean and stored neatly the left tiles and materials in the garage. I wish more contractors would be as honest and reliable as he is.
