    Phil's Appliance Repair
Excellent service. Called Phil on a Saturday about an inoperative refrigerator. In spite of our telling him we had a second refrigerator and, therefore, there was no need to come out on a weekend, Phil came over within an hour or so, troubleshot the problem and solved it. Saved us money on a needed part. Great stuff.

    Rod's TV Service
They were a no show the first time, because "the truck broke down". I rescheduled the next morning because I had to work in the afternoon. When they didn't show up in the morning, I called and was told they would be there between 3-6 pm- again I had to reschedule after waiting a second time. Rescheduled for the next day "after 11am". When I called at 4 pm to get an estimate as to when they're planning on coming, I was left on hold by their receptionist a total of 25 minutes on my 2 phone calls. She wouldn't answer my subsequent phone calls and once again were a NO SHOW. The single most unprofessional repair company I ever dealt with. This is the first review I've ever written but I felt strongly that no one should have to deal with such unprofessionalism.

    Phil's Appliance Repair
After returning from vacation (in wintertime, with thermostat lowered), our first run of the dishwasher went fine until the drain cycle. No water came out; it all stayed in the basin.
Phil listened to the circumstances, checked the hoses, valves etc. that were easily accessible -- no problems. He concluded that the hose in the back (against an exterior wall) was full of frozen water. Rather than pull out the whole dishwasher to confirm (expensive), he suggested we just wait for it to thaw. He was right: after an hour with a blow dryer, the dishwasher drained just fine. Saved us a bundle.
This matches our previous experience with Phil: conservative work (that is, conserving our money).

The gentleman who came to the house was very experienced, professional , pleasant and honest. I had many questions about the system that we already have installed in our house - a dual system that uses ductless units upstairs and a duct system downstairs. He inspected all aspects of it and gave me an evaluation of how to address the problems we currently have and an estimate of how difficult the job would be to address these problems. He also cleaned and readied the system for this summer's use.

I called Phil, he was very short and ill tempered.I mentioned a 10% off coupon that Angies List had on-line and he rudely told me he wasn't accepting that coupon.Based on his unprofessional telephone demeanor, I told him thanks, but no thanks- I'll try calling somebody else.

    Fleet Appliance Repair
Tech came. Switch was burnt out. Said he'd call back with an estimate. The $87 cost of the service call would be deducted from final price. He called the next day to say the switch was no longer available and there was nothing he could do. I got the switch from eBay. I called and told them, and wanted to confirm that the previous service call's cost was to be deducted. They said they'd call back b/c the person with authority to ok it was on another line; I said I'd hold. I held for 30 minutes. Lisa told me they'd have to call back b/c the other person (Michelle, I believe) was still on another line. They did not call back so I called them. She told me that they had already told me that the cost of connecting the switch would be $225. Not true. But $225 for a switch? Got somebody else to connect it for a $50 service call. It took 5 minutes.
