    At first, we simply contacted Dave Garlock via email for a simple quote to change the filters on our reverse osmosis system. He was very prompt with replying to our email (a trait that is usually rare when contacting contractors/companies like this). We ended up talking on the phone because we weren't sure that our rare/odd ball system could even be serviced. Dave assured us that if they still made the filters he could help us. He volunteered (free of charge) to come take a look at our rare system to see what he could do to help us out. He came clear out to Cazenovia in a snow storm (being sure to keep his appointment - even though we did not expect him to given the weather!) to take a look at our system. He spent a great deal of time calling distributors and even the reverse osmosis company to try and locate new filters for us. He even volunteered to take a look at our water softener while here to ensure it was running on the right schedule (I don't believe this is customary - but this just shows what kind of guy Dave is!). He ended up finding out our water softener was running to frequently and helped my husband turn down the cycle (which will save us a lot of money in regards to buying salt!). He was careful to take pictures of our reverse osmosis system and continued to research the system for us days after his visit. Sure enough - he found us our rare filters. Dave seriously is a superb guy and really, really knows his stuff. Don't research any longer - call Dave for your water system needs! He's professional, extremely knowledgeable, and VERY honest. He doesn't try to spend your money - he wants to help save you money. A real gem! He is our new "go-to" for water softeners, well pumps, etc.

    This company is superb. Prompt. Honest. Efficient. You couldn't even tell where they dug to pump our tank - he patched it back perfectly. Not only was the service tremendous - they were awesome about answering all of my husband's questions (we are new to septic tanks). Highly, highly, highly recommend!

    My husband and I are new to having a septic tank (we've been in our home for a little over a year and aren't highly familiar with the systems yet). I called Northrup Septic to get an estimate/to schedule our tank to be pumped. After speaking with him for a few moments, he HONESTLY advised that we did not need to pump our tank yet (given the tanks history/last pump, amount of people living in our home, etc.). I am so happy to see that there are still honest, reputable service individuals out there! He could have easily taken my money and scheduled the unneeded service. We WILL be calling him when do need our tank serviced - I highly recommend. Honest, highly educated about septic systems, punctual and professional!

    Dave Garlock and CNY Water Warehouse is fabulous.!!  He knew exactly what we needed, didn't try to over sell us or over price things, did a masterful job of installing the system sensitively in the basement of an 1810 building, worked to ensure we understood everything and helped facilitate the process with the County/State Dept. of Health.  He knows his business inside and out, was personable and easy to work with, a great communicator and went out of his way to make this project a success for us.  I would quit my job tomorrow if it meant I could work with him at CNY joking!.

    Culligan of Greater Syracuse
    As the first delivery date for the softener salt came and went, we were forced to call Culligan to request delivery of our "automatic" softener salt delivery. The delivery was subsequently not made on the agreed upon day in spite of the appointment made and having waited around all day for the delivery. Instead it was delivered the following day while I was away from home. I found that the bags were simply left on the sidewall of the driveway. While I was happy to finally receive the salt, I was disappointed that the delivery was not made on the appointed day and that I was forced to lug the bags down the basement stairs and into the water softener myself. My husband and I enrolled in this program mostly for the salt delivery service and were incredibly disappointed that this service was so poor. Then, to add insult to injury, we were charged for the bags of salt on the next month's invoice in spite of the fact that the salt was supposed to be part of the monthly fee. Multiple phone calls were made to attempt to rectify these problems, but we were continually given the run around with various "departments" and promised refunds that never materialized. All the while, they continued to withdraw our monthly fee from our bank account. Finally, we were compelled to threaten legal action and contact our bank to cut off their access to our bank account to force Culligan to cancel our two year contract. We are still receiving invoices from them claiming that our payment is past due. I would suggest that Culligan has behaved in an unprofessional and unethical manner.

              Initially, I was happy with the helpful woman in the office and the apparent know-how of the man who actually did the work.  But things started to go downhill when the job took twice as long as expected.  I had a tight budget and spoke candidly with the woman in the office at least twice before the job was scheduled to ensure that I had the money to cover the job.  Contrary to her word, however, the job took four hours instead of two, despite a lack of complications that would have legitimized that overage. 
              My distress was made more severe when I received the bill, charging me for six and a half hours of labor (instead of the actual four).   I was also charged for a second six and a half hours of labor for the second man who participated in the repair, even though this was never disclosed to me on the two occassions that I spoke with the woman in the office prior to the completion of the job.  When I called the office to dispute the bill, I was informed that the extra two and a half hours of labor charges were for travel time, even though I live ten minutes from Automatic Utilities.  I was also told that I was obligated to pay the second man's labor charge, because otherwise he would not be paid.  While a less than desireable offer was made to reduce the bill somewhat, the job still cost me almost twice what I was estimated.  I felt terribly ill-used.

    It was very good. They were really polite and courteous. They were very professional. They were timely and cleaned up after themselves. They had the best price. As soon as I had the work done I sold the house and moved so I don’t really know about the long standing quality. I’m assuming it held up, but I don’t really know.
