Nick promptly followed up on my request to bid the job. He was clear about cost, and the work to be provided. Once we agreed on what needed to be done, he worked out an efficient schedule,to disrupt us as little as possible. He meticulously prepped, and produced cabinets that look brand new. He does not cut corners, and produces a level of work that I am totally satisfied with. Honest, talented, hard working...we will definitely rehire him for other home improvement/remodel projects.

No offense, but what filthy crooks. At first, we were impressed with how thorough the work was. For example; the house wasn't only painted, but the gutters were also cleaned out and the windows were washed. After a while, though, the work started looking more sloppy. For example; we expected the painting to be done much more meticulously, considering how much more expensive it was than other services. Then, the work was suddenly halted for no apparent reason other than they had other jobs lined up. After SIX MONTHS of trying to get them to finish the work, they finally returned our closet doors and installed the moulding around the living room and kitchen floors. However, they never ended up doing anything about the staircase. It remains bare plywood. When we pressed them to finish the staircase like we had agreed, they pointed out the deliberately ambiguous language in the contract, claiming that the staircase was never a part of the deal. Why would we pay to have our entire house updated EXCEPT for the stairs? Perhaps we might have noticed the loop hole if the contract hadn't been scrawled out in poor handwriting. What an expensive lesson to learn!

We recently hired Mike to refinish and sand our walls and do some drywall work. Our intention was to have Mike get our walls ready and we would do the painting. Refer to a previous review about what a great job he did with our walls. But now came the painting. My wife and I had many questions about painting and using the right equipment. We went and brought home a few samples and chose a color we liked. But when it came time to paint, my wife wasn't happy with the shade of paint that we just spent $160 on. So she called Mike to ask him if he had any suggestions on how to lighten the shade. Instead of walking her through it over the phone, Mike decided the best result would be for him to come over and do it himself,UNASKED!! He was at the house within an hour, mixing the paint, and trying the different shades with adding white. So we decided to ask him how much he would charge us to paint the living area, because frankly, we are new homeowners, this was going to be our first indoor painting job, as a raised ranch some of the walls were close to 15 ft high, I was a bit intimidated. Mike quoted us $250,which to us was well worth it. We asked him when he could start. He had all his equipment with him, and he was happy to start immediately. This was the wed afternoon before Christmas, he spent all afternoon on it, then came back Saturday(THE DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS!!) and finished up. I can't say enough good things about this guy!!

    CNY Drywall
We recently moved into our house in the spring. Needed a lot of work on the inside. We wanted to paint the interior ourselves, but the walls and ceiling were in terrible shape. Cracks in the ceiling, walls had layers of paint and wallpaper on them, and some creases and holes. Two of the bedrooms even had ceiling paint used on the walls, the texture was awful. We wanted to paint but just painting over the walls wouldn't do the trick, they needed to be prepped first, and I didn't have the first clue what to do. So we went to Angies List. Mike was immediately in contact and came out the next day for the estimate. We also had a couple other estimates done, and Mike had the best solutions for what we wanted to do, and BY FAR the best price. So we hired him the week of Thanksgiving, and he went right to work after the holiday. He worked in our house for 4 days, explained everything he was doing while he did it, always showed up when he said he would. And my wife stays at home and she felt very comfortable with Mike in our house each day. He was very professional, polite, and cleaned up after everything. Also very flexible, he hardly required any furniture to be moved and didn't make it hard to live in our house while he was doing the work. The walls are smooth as butter, all the cracks in the ceiling are gone, the drywall repairs he did are excellent. He even finished some floor trimwork that wasn't quoted and at no charge. Very nice and engaging guy! We'll use him again and I highly recommend Mikes services.

Mike did a great job. He was punctual. He was quick! He was great to work with! He was really nice and came back to do a second coat on our Dining room, this was above and beyond what we asked him to do! He is very talented, the drywall he fixed looks perfect. He did everything we asked him to do and more. He wants to get the job done right! I would recommend him.

    The FABRIC MILL
The Fabric Mill made custom roman blinds with fabric I brought in. The blinds turned out fine - a little cheap looking for the price. However, I was generally satisfied with the experience. I returned to the Fabric Mill several months later, again with my own fabric, to order another pair of roman blinds. Three employees were standing behind the desk, and there wasn't a single other customer in the store. I was told, very rudely, that they do not use customers' fabric and could not help me. When I explained that this was exactly what they had done for me in the past, the employee kept saying that they don't do this. She then suggested that the first project had been done as a favor and was an exception to their rules. At no time when I ordered the first set of blinds was I under the impression that they were doing me a favor. I had gone in to enquire about whether or not they could make up new blinds out of old blinds from my old house. They said, and quot;Sure, no problem.and quot; The second time around, they acted shocked that I would ask them to do this. I understand that stores like this make money on fabrics - that is why they will often charge a handling fee when a customer brings in his or her own fabric. But to flat out refuse to even discuss making something for me that they had already made in the past, and to act like I was insane to ask for it, was ridiculous. I had been planning to do a third project with them but will never give them my business again. They lost a potentially lucrative customer out of rudeness and unprofessionalism.
