Landscaping reviews in Castleton On Hudson

Saul stopped by and reviewed the work I wanted done and provided and estimate for the cost. He answered all my questions and concerns I had. He was able to do the work ahead of the original date provided which was great for me. He and his crew arrived as scheduled and completed all the work. The new walkway look great as does the newly sealed driveway. Everything was cleaned up after the completion of the work. I couldn't be happier with the results. I will definitely recommend them and hire again if needed.

I sent in a request for an estimate via their website and was contacted that same day by owner Travis. He stopped by within a couple days and went over all the details of the tree removal, stump grinding and provided an estimate for the cost which I thought was reasonable. His crew stopped by the next week, removed both trees and ground out the stumps the same day. I was out of town for work when they took the trees down but when I returned I was glad to see there was no trace of the trees or stumps left -crew cleaned up debris and kept the lawn in good shape - no holes, missing grass or tire tracks, etc. I definitely recommend this company as I have used other tree services in the past and been disappointed. Having the owner personally show up at my house and provide a quote as well as grinding the stumps the same day was a big plus. Since I was out of town and had my check book with me, Travis was fine with me sending payment in when I got back.

I had a wonderful experience with On a Tree Limb Care. Their professionalism and knowledge was top notch and began with the initial contact, through the very end of the project.  A team of experts showed up on time, as scheduled and got to work quickly. They were very considerate of my property; I watched as they evaluated each tree and discussed how take it down carefully, avoiding any damage to my house and/or power lines near by. They were also very considerate of the properties surrounding my home; they blocked off only part of the road that they needed (allowing traffic to safely pass) and ensured I had access to the driveway. It took them almost a full day to complete the project (as expected) and they left my property clean and tidy, with no debris left (as promised). I chose to have the stumps remain (not ground) and so they cleanly sawed and leveled each. I can place a flower planter on each of them in the spring, just as I had hoped to do (perfect!). They had even hauled away a pile of limbs that I'd been collecting from the yard, which were there before they started; this was very thoughtful and I think a testament to the quality of their service. I wholeheartedly recommend this tree service, as I am a very satisfied customer. I will be using their services again.

The tree removal went well. They were very efficient and cleaned up completely. The only problem we had was their crane outrigger tilted one of our fence posts and sank it into the ground about 3 inches. This was a gate post and interfered with the closing and latching of the gate. It took numerous phone calls and several months before they finally came and repositioned the post. Other than that, they did a great job and I would hire them again.

We have hired KEN MORRIS and SONS EXCAVATING in previous years for mulch delivery. Their prices are very competitive. They do deliver the materials and place on driveway, overall a good experience.
Negatives would be their delivery charges seem to be at the whim of the person on the phone, I have been given higher delivery rates then my husband when he calls. They are a bit unorganized as it took 3 calls and over 3 weeks to have the mulch and stone delivered this year. Their customer service and organization could use some help.

Due to the weather, work was necessarily rescheduled, and had to be done in shorter periods. If there was a necessary delay, he did not just let it go until conditions allowed the workd to continue, but called me and rescheduled. He was always courteous. Because he had to reschedule due to rain, and I had to be away, I suggested that I put the check for his work in a safe but easily attainable area. He requested that I not do that, because he wanted to check with me to be sure the work was acceptable before being paid. I was not home when he finished, so he called me the next day. When I told him of my great satisfaction, he then gave me his address to send out his check. Truthfully, this was a rather small job, but he treated it and me as though it were a sizable job. I certainly hope for a repeat performance next year

They were very, very thorough. Their demeanor was fine. Even though I think they 're very new in the business they were professional. I had a catastrophe that happened while they were here and they were attentive and supported me until my family showed up. This was totally outside of what they were doing but it meant a tremendous amount to me.

As the work progressed Mr. McGrath informed me that we needed more topsoil.  He didn't  tell me how much more that we needed, just that we needed it.  He finished doing the grading and the lawn sat until the day before it was suppossed to rain when he shows up at 5pm to hydroseed the yard.  He was in a hurry as he had another yard to do.  We had a weekend of downpours and Mr. McGrath assured me that even with the  downpours we would get a lawn.  He said he would be back in May to treat the lawn for weeds and we should have a beautiful lawn.  After the downpours we had a dry spring, but we went out and bought large sprinklers and watered the lawn everyday.  Mr. Mcgrath showed up once and I complained, but was told the lawn would come in.  Mr. McGrath never showed up in May as was promised to treat the lawn and when we finally got a lawn what did come in was crabgrass.
In the fall the crabgrass died and we were left with mud with some patches of grass.  The part of front of the yard he was supposed to grade now has 2 small ponds when it rains that were never there before he started the work..  In the backyard the ground is wet and has moss growing on it instead of grass.  The flower beds looked great when initially done, but as the summer went on I spend hours weeding them because the weeds were not removed, but cut above ground and then had mulch dropped on top.
When it came time to settle the bill, he presented me with a bill for $16,265.  Well above the $10,00 that we had.  I had given him a deposit of $3,500 and gave him $7,000 that day(May 3rd) and told him we would have the rest at the end of July.   He called several times to get payment, but never came over to correct the problems.  We received a note from him in mid July stating that this would be the last bill before litigation commences.  Even though we never received a lawn we paid him the balance of $5,765.  We have never heard from him again even though I expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of lawn that came in or the small ponds when it rains.  We have friends that also used him and had the same problem.  They withheld payment from him until they got a lawn and he was forced to redo theirs.

I am thrilled with the work that Anjoe's Tree Service did for me today. A crew of five men arrived at my home shortly after 8 AM as agreed. I had a huge maple tree in my front yard, amid wires and close to my house and neighboring houses, which had to be removed. I watched every step of the way because I was totally fascinated by the process. The crew worked like a perfectly oiled machine, or a well choreographed ensemble. Joe climbed the tree and the others controlled the descent of the limbs as they were cut. and all along were feeding smaller branches into a chipper while loading larger pieces into the truck. They finished the entire job including grinding the stump just before 5 o'clock. This included the tremendous amount of cleanup that such a job entails. A friend asked if I was nervous about the house being hit or damaged. Absolutely not. The process was so well orchestrated that I knew the house was safe. These men were absolute professionals. Each knew exactly what had to be done and did it. I can't say enough good about them. Joe will return tomorrow to fill the stump area with top soil, and trim some bushes for me.  I am in awe of the job that they did.

I had a huge maple tree that had to be removed. It was near my house, the house of two neighbors and multiple low power lines.. Rick Paluck came out to look at the job, and due to his equipment and the low lines, he said he did not feel he could do this. Normally this would be the end of the story.  But Rick took things to a higher level.  With my permission, he called two other tree services that he was familiar with and that he felt could do the job.  He described the situation to them.  Both came out to look at the job and gave me  very reasonable quotes.  End of story?  No. The next day, Rick called to ask if I had heard from his referrals.  Talk about going above and beyond the call of duty, this man went way out of his way, with nothing personal to gain.  An amazing business man.
