    The Clock Works
James replaced the mechanical works in my Howard Miller clock. Gave me the option of changing it to battery operated. I decided on mechanical to keep it as original as possible. It was not cheap, but, worth every cent because James fully explained everything and used German works. I am extremely pleased.

James was very prompt and was able to fix the clock here at the house. So our tick is now back in tune with the tock and if any of the other clocks in the house have to be fixed we definitely will call them.

    Clock Maker
My first meeting with Peter (the Clockmaker) was in January 2016 - when I brought in a Seth Thomas wall clock that stopped ticking.  Having recently moved in the area, we should have "packed" the clock more securely, so there was a tangle that needed straightening out.  Peter did this, without charge and sent me on my way.  I decided to give Peter some more business, so I brought in a 25 year old cuckoo clock for a tune up (had been sitting in the attic), which he tuned up and made minor repairs on two outside parts (decorative).  As it turned out the Seth Thomas decided to stop working after I made an adjustment to it, so when I picked up the repaired cuckoo, I brought the wall clock in.  Peter kept the clock for a week, called and said he couldn't find anything wrong - it was ticking just fine.  He then asked what was holding the clock on the wall.  It was a hook - which caused the clock to not lie flat against the wall, thereby stopping it from ticking.  He suggested a drywall screw, which we installed and the clock runs perfectly too!  Peter wouldn't take any money for the return visit of the Seth Thomas.  Peter is a personable, hard working, honest man who knows clocks - inside and out.  His prices are more than fair.  Since clock repair shops are hard to find, this one is worth the trip and is a keeper!

    The Clock Works
It was great.  He helped me on the spot and only charged me for the battery - nothing for his service.  Although he only performed a relatively simple service in this case, I had confidence in his expertise and would definitely go there again.

    WATERFORD CLOCK CO
After contacting the Waterford Clock Company they responded in a very timely manner. There representative arrived at the agreed upon time. He was professional and courteous. He removed and packed the inner workings of the grandfather clock to prepare it for shipment by the movers. I rated the price and quot;Band quot; because the time needed on location to prepare the clock for shipment was relatively short. Travel from Waterford Clock to the house was in excess of 60 miles round trip and unfortunately the travel time exceeded the needed to do the work on the clock.

    WATERFORD CLOCK CO
We took a German Cuckoo Clock to them for repair. The movement and sounds had stopped as the chains would not move. They provided an estimate of best case and worst case cost. Work was performed in a timely manner, and the clock has been performing great for the two months since we picked it up. I would use them again. For Angie's List a negative, the year the home was built is not relevant for a clock repair.

    The Clock Works
The clock looked the best it had in 30 years, and the new mechanism works far better and quieter than the old one ever did.

    The Clock Works
We have a number of ticking, winding, ancient clocks. We have been married for almost four years, and for different occasions throughout our marriage, we have given each other clocks. Grandmother clocks, grandfather clocks, ship's clocks and wall clocks. One of the clocks broke down, and we took it to two different people who could not repair the clock and even damaged it further. Then we took it to The Clock Works. They are as good for clocks as Penna is for windows. They have old European clock makers and clock repairers. They can fix anything, no matter what it is, and how many weeks it takes them to get it perfect. A clock which was not working was brought to them for repair. It had been taken to several places, and it still didn't work. It turned out that it was Thomas Jefferson's clock which had hung in his house, and in the library of the University of Virginia. It had stopped working, and nobody could fix it. They had taken the clock all over the country to different places, to try and get it working, because it was Thomas Jefferson's clock which he himself had signed. It had been a hundred years taking it to different places and trying to get it fixed, and The Clock Works fixed it. They are very good. The clock that we took to them was a complicated clock to repair too, but it now works just like it was right off the showroom floor. It is a hundred years old, triple chime clock, and it's a beautiful thing. They are wonderful, compared to the two other local clock people we had been to. Going into their store is like going into a different world, it is full of various levels of ancient ticking clocks, chiming clocks, cuckoo clocks, and grandfather clocks. I feel it's like going into a magical place. The people who work there love what they do. They breathe precision, they breathe fine instruments, and they are a dying breed. It's like I'm going into a little German clock shop from 1785 or something. They really care about the quality of their clocks, and the clocks just mean a lot to them. They know that there aren't many people who do what they do anymore. I wish them loads and loads of business, they are getting older, and they won't be there forever. But while they are there, I wish everybody would use them.

    CLOCK REPAIR SERVICE
Absolutely a wonderful person to deal with. Returns phone calls quickly. Picks up and delivers smaller clocks like mine, but can also service grandfather clocks. Mine needed a major overhaul to get the chimes to strike the hour, but it was worth the money. He will clean and oil clocks also, will come to your home to give an estimate. I have another wall clock that I will have serviced in a couple of months. His local number is 518-745-5916. He repaired mine in one week.
