CertaPro Painters of Westchester NY and Southern CT
They were very clean, cleaned up each day. Punctual, showed up when they said they were going to be there. Cleaned up after the job very well - even vacuumed which was very much appreciated. They moved the furniture for us, they were so very careful, made sure they took care with our things and didn't bump it up against anything. We really appreciated that. The crew was very efficient and did a great job. We have used CertaPro a few years ago and had Alex and his crew, we asked for them again. They do an excellent job. Very conscientious and great attention to details. It's worth mentioning that on 2 separate occasions throughout the project we had a senior supervisor pop over to check-in and see how the job was going and ask if everything was going ok and if we had any concerns. The one gentleman wasn't even their supervisor, he was just in the area. We did not expect that level of attention. Was a pleasant surprise and really felt appreciated and valued. We would definitely use them again.

    Franks handyman service
WONDERFUL. Frank & his team were very careful with our surrounding furniture as well as with their ladder on our walls. They were friendly and very reasonably priced. GAIL and I will have them back to complete other handyman projects in our home soon.

I have used Wolfram Merz in the past for repairs to my Central Air Conditioner System and re-roofing part of my house. He did a quality job in all aspects. So, in 2018, when a tornado ripped up a 70 foot Oak tree from six feet away and tossed it onto my home office extension (while I was in it), damaging the roof and three rooms, I called Wolfram to ask if he could be the General Contractor to manage the $29,000+ repairs specified by my Insurance company. I had never managed such a complex job before between the Insurance and Mortgage company and all the specialists that would be needed. The complexity of dealing with so many different agencies and contractors just made me so stressed out that I would have to sign in to the Home. Wolfram said he could manage all that and serve as my General Contractor. He did just that. He stepped in and spoke with all the parties and reduced my stress level by 90%. I was thrilled with having such a wise and knowledgeable person in charge. He was always prompt, had first-class associates helping him do the work and in about two weeks did a perfect job and left the property super clean. The Insurance Inspector came, walked around, smiled and took pictures and within three weeks I had a check for full payment from the insurance company. Wow! Wolfram is at the top of all my lists for a wide variety of home repairs. -G

    SUNRISE CARPENTRY, INC.
We received an absurd estimate for $7100 to remove and replace a few rotting pillar trim/molding pieces for our front porch and basement door. The estimate included power washing and painting, which we didn't need. I asked Geoff @ Sunrise to take those 2 items out of the estimate (estimate was not broken out), and was told they couldn't because those 2 items were the bulk of the job. We had another Angie's List approved company take care of it for $750....$6350 less than what Sunrise was going to rob us for. $6350 for power washing and minimal painting???? Happy we avoided this company. Proceed with caution, and with getting other bids before using Sunrise.

My husband felt the guys didnt know how to go about doing the job and he had to keep advising them. The job was quoted at $700. Once the job was under way, Carpenter removed moulding and said if we wanted it replaced it would be additional $200. Of course it had to be replaced since the old moulding was ripped off! So we paid the additional $. Never again......

For a few years, we knew we had to get started replacing and old, rotten rear wrap around Spilt level deck. We asked Mike to discuss alternatives and recommend repair or complete replacement. Also, we have always had a pool and wanted to incorporate the pool into the design and make it our own little oasis. Mike got to work drafting several designs that would accommodate the existing footprint to include a walkout patio to the pool. We asked about several designs and materials, and was constantly given a professional opinion. We feel as though we worked as a team to create the best outcome. Would recommend Michael to anyone who needs quality work and responsible results.

The work was beyond awful!!!!! My husband had started to spackle the walls but could not finish due to health issues. We decided to hire them because of the ratings. What a joke! They painted over the spackle without sanding or flushing the wall properly. When asking for someone to come out and look at what the guy did whom is apparently their foreman I was told no. They had the guy that did the work call us instead of an owner or manager like I asked to speak to. All he did was argue with us and say he did things the right way. He said he was going to sand with a wet sponge To keep dust down. My wall looks like a teenager with acne. He then argues with us that he did it properly and that he told us he was using a sponge. Yes you told us you were using a sponge but if you knew what you where doing it should be flat not a bunch of bumps. He then blamed my husband and said he used too much spackle. He then proceeded to tell us we are getting his blood pressure up and he has health issues. So does my husband!!! That's why we hired you!!!!!! There was also paint drippings on the hardwood floors and a few of the doors in the hallway. We also found paint splatter on the railing, entertainment set, dvr box, curtains and toys. He blamed us and said we did it. That he used drop clothes and it couldn't have been him. HE WAS THE ONLY ONE PAINTING AND IN THE HOUSE! No one even lives there!!!! I am beyond disgusted with this company and out $$$$ I have lots of pictures!

    Lecla Home Improvements LLC
The job went very well. They provided a very fair estimate the same day as my initial call. The two men who installed the skylights were knowledgeable and very courteous and the business owner stopped by mid-way through the installation to ensure that everything was going smoothly. The installers worked quickly and did a great job. When the job was completed they totally cleaned up and removed the old skylights and other debris. I would have no problem hiring them again and recommending them to anyone who requires the type of work they perform.
