Laura and her crew did a great job. They were careful not to damage my yard with their bucket truck. They took out some large branches hanging over my house roof. After they were done, they cleaned the area of all sticks and leaves. I am very happy with the work.

I have been using JROS for several years doing everything from large tree trimming, mulching and edging, shrub trimming, tree and shrub planting, landscaping front of home, and building back patio.  Quality of work has always been excellent.  Jim comes out promptly to give estimates.  Workers are always on time, competent solicitous, and friendly.

    Broccolo Tree & Lawn Care
I used them for the first time in 2013, and I had them do some hardscape and some landscape planting. Their warranty is very good, because I lost a couple of trees that they planted, and they came out and did deep root fertilization last fall, and they extended their warranty through September 2015. Subsequently the trees did die, and they are going to replace them for me this year. In the fall of 2013 they did a front walk way, they did a paved walkway and they built a pergola in the back. They enclosed the area around the utilities, and the air condition, and they closed it with bricks. They do good work. The workers are very friendly, and very professional. They are here when they say they are going to come. They let you know when they are going to be here. I recommend them highly. They were recommended to me by a person I work with.

They are great!  They keep things in good shape, recommend treatments (but only as needed), and provide a sense of security knowing that we can call them with a problem and it will be taken care of quickly and completely.  Their crew is always very friendly and professional.

I had them trim an old maple tree that was hanging in our driveway and our neighbors roof. He did a fabulous job and I can’t believe that he was able to get all of the branches cut away. He used a bucket truck. He and his crew came out and they also had a chipper that took all the branches away. They even blew off the dust on our driveway. He was so knowledgeable and such an artist about our trees. He advised me what to do and did it beautifully. His wife answered the phone and they were so responsive. They also responded and followed up with emails promptly. I wished Angie’s List would let me give them an A+. They were so friendly too. They also removed 3 small trees that were starting to go up the building; 2 around the garage and 1 on the house.

    Bakers Tree Service
True professionalism. Four man crew that arrived and started work at about 9 AM and finished at about 3 PM. This entailed the removal of a very old 65 to 70 feet tall Poplar tree that had been struck by lightning during the summer; creating a hazardous condition that required the removal.
From the time of arrival until completion it was all business. No breaks, no chatting to waste time, just work from start to finish. It was really a pleasure to watch how they worked in unison.
The stump was ground to about 16 inches below ground level. Huge logs were hauled off by truckload. Many logs were run through a large wood chipper and the chips were fed into another truck and removed.
After the tree was down the cleanup was exceptional. Where there were gouges in the lawn, from the falling of the large logs, they were filled with dirt to gound level. The area where the stump was ground was tamped down and leveled with added soil.
Hand blowers were used to clean off any debris on the drive. There was not a scrap left on the ground.
If one, not familiar with the property, was to drive through the area, they would be hard-pressed to know that a large tree had been there only hours before.
I would be happy to recommend Baker's to anyone.

I was advised by Jim Rose (who wrote out instructions for me) about how to water the tree and use a soil acidifier solution for the multiple step process necessary to prepare and then move our beloved tree.  This tree is very special to us since our son gave it to us several years ago when it was  about 9 inches tall. We put our Sequoia when it was about 3 feet tall into the ground when we moved here 5 years ago. We  put it close to our house to protect it from the wind.  Since  It is now  8-10 feet tall we decided we should move it.  Jim let us know that there is a product that they or we could put on the tree to protect it from the wind. We feel more secure allowing Jim's company to apply the product once a month throughout the winter. Now our tree has enough room to grow and we can see it better from our window.  It looks beautiful and continues to be very  healthy.

    Fingerlakes Tree & Landscape
The men arrived ready to work and suggested they wanted me to advise them as they were finishing each tree; they wanted me to be pleased !!
As the work progressed one man continually dragged huge limbs to the chipper in front of my home.
This man also assisted from the ground in facilitating the work in progress.  It was quite an art to watch
this professional work his way up the tree and ........back down again.
From the meeting with the owner for an estimate to waving good bye to the crew I was very pleased and
my yard was spotless.  Also, the owner communicated with a change in plans due to weather.

Jim responded the next day with a response to my initial inquiry. He then came onsite to walk the lawn later that same week. He turned out a quote in a couple days and began work the following week. The clean-up and mulch work around my trees was excellent and the gentleman was very nice who did it. I wasn't home when they did the slit seeding work, but there was no yard damage but I can tell it was done (I was not familiar with slit seeding as a way to thicken your lawn, but Jim educated me and so did Google after our visit :) The grass hasn't begun to grow yet, but I am aware the seeds take several weeks to germinate and begin sprouting. So far so good and I'm initial impression of Jim and his company is excellent.
However, while not a high priority to me, I did ask for a design and quote for additional landscaping work (during the initial visit with Jim) - which would improve my curb appeal. I know it is a busy season for them so this didn't require an immediate turn around, however we have now gone past when he initially said I would get me a draft to review. Again, this wasn't an immediate need and the initial work was done spot on... but I did drop the responsiveness score from an A to a B for this reason. Still highly recommended and would use them for future landscaping work.

    Liddiard's Tree Experts
I was told that a neighbor had scheduled some work at their house, so I called and was able to be added to the schedule later that same day, within a week. As always, Don, the owner was there to supervise, always knowledgeable and professional. And I think they undercharged me - again!
