    Taylor's Painting
Went extremely well. We actually first hired Taylor's Painting as part of an Angie's List special deal for drywall repair. While doing that, we asked for an estimate on the ceilings in our house and thought the prices were reasonable. Once that was being done, I then asked for an estimate on exterior work we needed. Again, the pricing was reasonable. They were prompt, easy to schedule, and did a good job. I recommend them and would use them again if needed.

Worker was great. Went well beyond what I expected. The only slight negative was the company did not get back to me when I signed up through Angie's List. I had to call to make the appointment. But then they were very accommodating.

The job went very well. The workmanship and communication were very good. They were timely each day, completed the work as scheduled and left the area clean at the end of each day. I am pleased with the entire project and would recommend them to others.

    James Rose Outdoor Services, Inc.
Excellent. They repaired the steps in a timely manner for the quoted price and warranted all work for 10 years (in writing). We noticed a couple of missed places and they came back and fixed the problem immediately. The steps will need to weather  over the winter and they plan to return in the spring to clean them up so they can be sealed. We will keep you posted on the progress.
We initially thought the price was high, but they had 2 people here for an entire week to do the job and they did excellent work, so we are happy with the results.

Ken was very easy to work with in planning the work. The crew that did the work was always there at 7:30 am and were very hard working, friendly and polite.
We were pleased with the job and how it turned out. We had a 2 week window that we needed the job started and completed. They were done early, picked up all of the scrap and unused material and left the place neat and cleaned up.
Our plan is to have them quote some additional work next spring.

Everything went excellent.  My deck was a little bigger than the Big Deal specified, and the owner called me himself and let me know about the charge.  I found his courtesy very professional.

The work he did was fine but he was very uncomfortable to be around. I felt he overcharged us well. He insisted in parking his trailer in our front lawn. I had asked him not to do this and it ruined our front lawn. He also insisted on using oil based paint which ended up causing mold to grow on the outside of the house. He also damaged some landscaping stones that we have around the house. He charges by the hour and did seem to spend a lot of time on his cell phone which I felt added to being overcharged. He did do a good job washing the mold off of the side of the house before he applied the primer. He took the build-up of the paint down to the bare wood as I had requested. He did do a very good job with this. In the end, we have to have part of the exterior re-painted because of the mold that had grown on the paint.

    Mario Pompeo
Mario proposed a bid and even wrote on the emails that he was eager to do this job and get started right away.  Within a day or two it was evident that he had no idea what he was doing. We had to help him with measuring, laying out, digging and even with us doing the measuring he still managed to screw it up.  It tooks 3 weeks just to get the foundations up and they are all out of square.  Many times he just sat in his car. Mario didn't show up many days or showed up very late and only worked for a few hours.  He called or texted with many different excuses as to why he wasn't working.  In the end he blamed it on the weather but there were many days when it was clear to work and he never showed. It became clear to us and he didn't know what he was doing and was in over his head.  When approached about this he admitted he was in over his head and didn't know what to do.
This guy is totally incompetent as a bricklayer and we warn you not to use him.  We are now left with a mess of an unfinished project, several thousands of dollars lost plus materials that we paid for which may be no good as his work is so bad it may all have to be torn down.  This guy is a disaster!

He did a beautiful job. He stopped one day and gave me some references. We went and looked at his work and thought he did a good job. He was a good worker. I think he is kind of a gypsy mason guy. He'll do anything but he doesn't have an actual stone and mortar business, I think he just works out of his house. He has also done our 3 bay garage floor for us. My experience has been very good. He is responsive and he does exactly what he tells you he is going to do. When he is finished it is exactly how he describes it. Sometimes, in construction, especially when you are dealing with concrete, these guys get a little sloppy, a little messy. He ended up producing exactly what he described. Both my wife and I talked to him about it because it's a driveway, it's the entry to your house and you don't want some piece of junk when they get through. I've seen some pretty poor concrete work over the years. So far, it is also very stable, it hasn't broken up or cracked. He put the stress cracks in the right place. He's very good at what he does. He is a little bit slow getting back to you from when he quotes. When he's on the job he's fast, so I don't want to give him a rating that looks bad. When you are trying to get him to do the job, he is kind of slow in that area. He will tell you a date and something will happen and he'll call you. But when he is here, when he is committed he is very fast and he is very responsive.

Very pleased with Mario and his work!  He was responsive to our questions and made useful suggestions which helped us and (and him) complete the project successfully. He was on the job when he said he was going to be there, and on the phone to us when rain or other jobs prevented. The whole project from contact, meeting through completion took about a month.  He left the job site clean on completion.  We have no reservations about recommending him.  We love our new front steps and walkway!
