As always it went great! Jennifer was wonderful cleaning my teeth, and Dr. Tanoory was great as well checking my teeth. I have been their patient since we moved to Canandaigua in 2012. I loved them. They are very professional and friendly!

They are wonderful. I don't have a negative thing to say about them. I actually switch from my other dentist to them and I am glad I did. I went in the latter part of 2013 because I had a dental issue. When I went in there, they found out that it was just a sinus infection and that I really didn't need any dental work at all. They put me on an antibiotic and that cleared it up. But at the same time they took x-ray and they did find that I had a tooth, not in that area where the pain was but on the other side. So they took care of that. In January, I am a new patient and they did the full exam with all of the x-rays. They were very thorough and I'm certainly going to stay with them. There wasn't anything I disliked. The experience was great. When you go in there, they are very friendly. The first person you see is the dental hygienist and she goes over everything with you. Then the dentist comes in to do his thing. They put you down with the finance person so you know what your insurance coverage is instead of having them submit it prior to and then letting you know what it's going to be and you decide whether you want to go with it. You can make your decision right there and then. And that is a very great advantage to the other way some other dentist do it. They are very efficient and it's a very pleasant office. I am having my husband go there to get a second opinion. You also don't have to wait long for your appointment.

The staff were very helpful and appeared to be well trained and happy with their work.  I got what I wanted, a diagnosis. Just before seeing the dentist, I'd done some research on tooth decay and found out that I could cure my toothache with nutrition. Just about the same time as my dental visit, I started on the nutritional protocol and now, three and a half months later, my toothache is gone and I can chew on that side for the first time in years.  Amazing!
I suppose if you wanted a dentist, Finger Lakes Dental would be a good choice.

There was sufficient information about the procedure before the date of the appointment. Appointment began as scheduled. Dr. Tanoory was attentive to my needs throughout the surgery. He called later that evening to ensure I was fine and to tell me the procedure could not have gone better. The office called the following day and scheduled an appointment that morning for a follow-up.

My husband and I just moved to the area. I broke a tooth and needed a dentist really quick. I found the Finger Lakes Dental Care office and they got me an appointment very quick. Since the first time I talked with them, they were very friendly. I arrived at their office for my appointment and they were very punctual and friendly. Dr. Jason Tanoory took the time to listen to my questions and to explain my options about the crown procedure. His assistant was excellent as well! It took two appointment to get my crown done. I didn't feel anything, no pain, nothing. Dr. Jason was wonderful! I was so happy with the result that I came back to get a cleaning. Jennifer did my cleaning, and she was wonderful as well! I highly recommend the Finger Lakes Dental Care, all the staff are friendly and caring people. You can find them at 329 S. Main Street, Canandaigua, NY 14424. Phone: (585) 394-1930 or you can go to their website http://www.fingerlakesdental.com

Dr. Jason Tanoory installed the implant in 2008. The  associated "tooth" had become slightly loose over time. The tooth was replaced in December 2011 but some minor looseness persists.  There is no pain or inconvenience associated with the looseness. Dr. Tanoory stands by the work. He recommends not taking on the risks associated with removing the implant - a process that includes drilling off the replacement tooth, removing a screw that is in the implant, removing the implant and waiting for the area to heal before installing a new implant. There are a number of steps that can be taken to stabilize the replacement tooth should it loosen further.

With a history of very poor experiences with dentists, I had avoided professional assistance for decades. Dr. Tanoory and his office staff has from the first visit renewed my confidence in dentistry. He works efficiently and gently - asking for feedback as he proceeds. After having experienced some 6 dentists that treated patients as objects, carrying on conversations with their assistants about their private lives and being generally rude, Dr. Tanoory is a breath of fresh air. The entire practice treats patients as individuals. They respect your time, your input into decisions, your need to know what is taking place at any given time, any need to finance the services, and your communication choices. The office takes the responsibility to make accurate estimates on costs as well as submitting paperwork to your insurance company. They accept credit and beneflex cards for payment. They make sure you understand the financial aspects of your visit, the work that is planned, and whatever findings they might have. The dental hygienist is on the lookout for issues and Dr. Tanoory will come in during the cleaning appointment to diagnose the issue and recommend treatment. The staff is committed to continuing education in excess of what their respective licenses require - and it shows. They educate you as their patient as well - during every procedure.

Not too much to tell.  It's a very nice office, clean and friendly.  Nice TV and many magazines in the waiting room.  Never need to wait long and TV's offerred while in the dental chair.  Dr. Jason is professional, friendly, kind and thorough.

At every step of the procedures I kept reporting extreme sensitivity to pressure and temperature but he kept bulling ahead. He kept telling me it would get better with time. It has been over a year and I still have some sensitivity to pressure and temperature. IMO a root canal should have been done if he had to drill that deep for cleanup. He now ignores my complaints.
