Concrete Repair reviews in Canandaigua

    James Rose Outdoor Services, Inc.
Excellent. They repaired the steps in a timely manner for the quoted price and warranted all work for 10 years (in writing). We noticed a couple of missed places and they came back and fixed the problem immediately. The steps will need to weather  over the winter and they plan to return in the spring to clean them up so they can be sealed. We will keep you posted on the progress.
We initially thought the price was high, but they had 2 people here for an entire week to do the job and they did excellent work, so we are happy with the results.

    JOSH Landscape Co.

Josh Lawn Care and Landscape is the very definition of professional. Having had
extensive landscape/hardscape work done over 32 years in this area this group
goes to the head of the class. Hard to pick a professional when you have
several come out and give quotes. Initially for us, we could dismiss 2 out of
four-then we were dealing with the newcomer, Josh versus a provider who we had
done work with for numerous years and were completely satisfied. In picking
Josh, we had to say we felt we got the best value for the dollar.  Their craftsmanship and workmanship is awesome, not to mention the crew that artistically put together our beautiful seat wall, patio, fire pit and front walk way. The
landscaping from bed placement to plant selection was great! Back to
the crew, the nicest, most polite and hard working I have seen, always a smile
on their faces, happy to answer any question-and we had some!

Josh,  the owner came out initially to quote our job and we were impressed from the get go-and it
takes a lot for us. Again professionalism and knowledge are hard to come by in
this day and age and he literally answered every question and addressed every
issue on that first visit. He presented a concise and detailed plan that passed
our HOA with flying colors. He continued to be available for consultations and
his work plan was followed to the letter-from deposit, to material delivery-to
start date-to progress payments to final walk thru.

    Mario Pompeo
Mario proposed a bid and even wrote on the emails that he was eager to do this job and get started right away.  Within a day or two it was evident that he had no idea what he was doing. We had to help him with measuring, laying out, digging and even with us doing the measuring he still managed to screw it up.  It tooks 3 weeks just to get the foundations up and they are all out of square.  Many times he just sat in his car. Mario didn't show up many days or showed up very late and only worked for a few hours.  He called or texted with many different excuses as to why he wasn't working.  In the end he blamed it on the weather but there were many days when it was clear to work and he never showed. It became clear to us and he didn't know what he was doing and was in over his head.  When approached about this he admitted he was in over his head and didn't know what to do.
This guy is totally incompetent as a bricklayer and we warn you not to use him.  We are now left with a mess of an unfinished project, several thousands of dollars lost plus materials that we paid for which may be no good as his work is so bad it may all have to be torn down.  This guy is a disaster!

    Mario Pompeo
He did a beautiful job. He stopped one day and gave me some references. We went and looked at his work and thought he did a good job. He was a good worker. I think he is kind of a gypsy mason guy. He'll do anything but he doesn't have an actual stone and mortar business, I think he just works out of his house. He has also done our 3 bay garage floor for us. My experience has been very good. He is responsive and he does exactly what he tells you he is going to do. When he is finished it is exactly how he describes it. Sometimes, in construction, especially when you are dealing with concrete, these guys get a little sloppy, a little messy. He ended up producing exactly what he described. Both my wife and I talked to him about it because it's a driveway, it's the entry to your house and you don't want some piece of junk when they get through. I've seen some pretty poor concrete work over the years. So far, it is also very stable, it hasn't broken up or cracked. He put the stress cracks in the right place. He's very good at what he does. He is a little bit slow getting back to you from when he quotes. When he's on the job he's fast, so I don't want to give him a rating that looks bad. When you are trying to get him to do the job, he is kind of slow in that area. He will tell you a date and something will happen and he'll call you. But when he is here, when he is committed he is very fast and he is very responsive.

Very pleased with Mario and his work!  He was responsive to our questions and made useful suggestions which helped us and (and him) complete the project successfully. He was on the job when he said he was going to be there, and on the phone to us when rain or other jobs prevented. The whole project from contact, meeting through completion took about a month.  He left the job site clean on completion.  We have no reservations about recommending him.  We love our new front steps and walkway!

    Artistry In Concrete
I am very pleased with them. They came back right away and took care of a few issues that I had. They were very pleasant, did their work quickly, and put out the yellow tape to keep people off of it.
