    They said it was a cyst. It just happened all of a sudden. We just have to keep our eye on it and see if there is anything that needs to be done. They know what they're doing and they are very good for emergency care.

    When there is something that appears to be very serious, they will refer us to VMC.

    They thought he might have some other internal problems. They did a lot of testing and consultation. We go see them every 6 months to a year to have it checked out unless there's a problem. They are very expensive but they are very good and when you need them, they are there. They work with other vets, and our vet recommends us to them. They are open all the time, you can go there for normal problems or emergencies. They are very knowledgeable and it is quite a place. They have a pool for arthritic animals. They are very very good.

    I can't say enough about the quality of the surgeons and the staff and the doctors. Sometimes you have to wait because emergencies come in. They are very expensive but you are paying for the facilities, the great doctors, and the good care.

    They put her on a machine to check her heart to make sure it is ok. We have used them for several years. We couldn't say enough about the doctor and she always follows up.

    It went extremely well! The people at the desk greeted us immediately and pulled out our dog's chart to begin the process of intake. We were taken in to the examination room on time and met by our vet and the technician. She listened to our description of our dog's symptoms and watched him as he walked around to assess what she was seeing. She explained two possibilities for the symptoms and then proceeded with a full exam. She diagnosed a severe inner ear infection and assessed that he was in a lot of pain. She gave him an injection to prevent vomiting and 4 other meds for us to administer at home. She then had us make an appointment for our dog in a week for reassessment and possible additional treatments.

    It was an excellent visit and our dog was treated with love and respect. We truly appreciate Dr. Hurley and all who work at Stack Veterinary Hospital.

    They were outstanding. Frank did the walking and he's like the dog whisperer, my dog loved him. They came out to greet us first and he spent about 40 minutes talking to us to meet the animals and see what we wanted done.They walked our dog for about half an hour. I would use them over and over again. They were really great.

    I dropped her off in the morning and picked her up the same day right before the clinic closed. They gave me a bit of pain medicine and a cone so she wouldn't lick her stitches. My puppy stood up all night and whined, right through the meds they gave me. She also kept getting stuck on doors because of the cone. The next day I took her back to make sure nothing was wrong because she still would not lay down or sleep and was whining. I was told she was fine, give her an extra pill. The day after that she had STILL not slept for more than a few minutes (and consequently neither had I) so I went BACK in, and had a minor meltdown due to my own lack of sleep. I was told that they couldn't do much because and quot;Giving me any sort of sedative for her would not be ethical, and they had a responsibility to be ethical to the animals they treat.and quot; The tech I saw told me that I should expect her to be in pain because surgery hurts. I was pretty upset because her being in pain didn't seem ethical, and my not sleeping at all was about to not be ethical to her or any of the people around me. They offered to write me a stronger prescription for the same pain meds she was already taking... long story short, they ended up giving her a dose of stronger painkillers right then and then keeping her in the kennel area for a couple hours to see whether she would sleep or not. The higher dose of painkillers helped somewhat, but I still had to pick her up and then hold her on her side until she fell asleep, or she was too afraid to lay down. I would probably go back if I needed to, as the place is clean and well-run, but it is expensive and I would have to ask for the care/meds I wanted to prevent a repeat of this situation, which wasn't very pleasant for anyone involved.

    They have the best emergency room in this county. The physician's name is Dr. Holly Reed. She also does acupuncture, which she did for my boys. I have two German Short-haired Pointers. She did a marvelous job for them. They were both made happy. I feel like I have known her for a 100 years. She took care of my other dogs. She had a veterinary practice at Beaver Lake and sold it to work exclusively at her ER. Now she does the ER and acupuncture.

    my dog had a very smelly ear.

    we suspected an infection was present.

    she was first seen by dr. hale. dr. hale demonstrated her skill in examining my fearful shy dog.

    i returned for a followup assessment and we concluded that the treatment should be continued for another 10 days.

    due to my work schedule, i could not make an appointment with dr. hale in the appropriate time frame; so i opted to see dr. stack.

    i was again impressed- by his skill, kindness and genuine liking of my pet.

    i felt at the end of the appointment that he wanted my dog to get better as opposed to his wanting to make money from my dog's

    Visits always go well. They took us in within 5 minutes of our scheduled appointment time. A quick check of the dogs was done before giving the additional shots, which was appropriate. What I found very reassuring was the response when I asked about having another dog, (an elderly Sheltie) put down when the time is right. The vet who already had given me a generous amount of time for a simple visit concerning a few vaccinations immediately slowed down. She was ready to give me as much time and information as I needed. She explained that they would do their best to get the dog in immediately after my call when I felt it was time. The vet explained everything completely and in a gentle manner - not to keep me in the waiting room when I arrived, the choices I could make, etc. I work in the health care field myself (for humans, that is) and found her attitude extremely professional and supportive.
