    Senke's Specialty Service Inc
First time user of Angie's List. I have not reviewed anyone I can think of in at least 5+ years. To sum up briefly - simply EXCELLENT. ALL OF THE A'S MARKED ABOVE WERE WELL DESERVED AND NOT EXAGGERATIONS ON MY PART. Right from the initial phone call to the technician leaving was perfect. AND to beat all, the actual charge was less than what was quoted on the phone which ='s honesty and integrity in my humble opinion. So, yes folks, if you have a need that this contractor can respond too, I highly recommend you call them. AND they gave a 1`0% Angie's List discount that I was NOT expecting.

    Affordable Solutions by Brian
Everything went very well. The crew showed up on time and got to work. They discovered a couple issues once things were torn out; these were addressed at minimal additional cost. The family room looks great and the repaired wall in the bedroom looks like there was never anything there, inside and out. We're very happy with the work and won't hesitate to call Brian again.

The install was great. About a month after he installed it, the storm doors do not close well, the doors do not close well and it's dead winter time here. I have all kind of draft coming into my garage. I tried to seal it. You can't seal a door and a storm door. The gap is too wide to fill. Even though he did a good job, I don't know what happened. I was told that he didn't install it correctly. I had someone come and look at it but I didn't want them to take the door out because it's snowing and it's really cold. I'm going to have to get somebody to redo it this summer. I guess, he did the roof well. I'm not sure about that. I haven't had a leak. But, when it rains, I still get that smell. I had the leak coming into the house. So I still get that smell. I shouldn't get that smell because the roof should be repaired. He was very cordial and a very friendly guy. I don't think he really was a general contractor. Somebody who was just a jack of all trades and just learning. He did one task perfectly and the rest of it was just downhill. I should have had eight hours. It didn't happen like that. The price was great, but the price means nothing if you don't get the job done correct. I definitely wouldn't use him again and I definitely have to get the door taken off and reinstalled. He just does basic work. He can't do anything other than basic work.

Steve Buza & Family Home Improvement

Excellent experience!! Steve & employees were professional, courteous and above all, were perfectionist! It was a complicated project. The porch roof had to be removed and 3 of the 4 (6x6 pressure-treated wood) post had to be set in a black-top driveway which was originally installed on top of solid rock. To maintain the pitch of the roof to match the house, the window access into the attic & the siding had to be removed.  A custom-made door & new siding were installed. All new white fascia soffit, gutters, down-spouts & trim installed. The posts and supporting brackets were custom-wrapped in white aluminum. Because I did not want exposed rafters inside the carport, a ceiling using T11 was installed. The project took 3 weeks and the crew worked 8 hours/day Monday-Friday, even in the cold, rain & high winds. At the end of every day, the crew swept and cleaned up the work entire work area. Lumber, shingles, equipment were neatly stored & covered. The high quality of the materials, the construction, the custom-finish work and the completed carport all exceeded my expectations. This could easily be converted to an additional room...it looks that great!! I believe it was worth every penny. When I called my insurance agent to add the carport to my homeowners, she stated that around $80 per square foot is what is expected for this type of addition.

    Full Circle Contracting
First appointment he rescheduled last minute. Second I had to call him when it was 15 minutes past our agreed time. He was cleaning and didn't realize the time. When he did finally make it, we discussed my kitchen floor. (not sure why it says doors) All went well as far as I could tell. He said he'd get some samples and come back Monday. I texted him and left him a message Monday to confirm and he never responded to either. no explanation. nothing. So if you don't mind being left hanging, give him a call. He might call you back.

    McClurg Remodeling
In 2010, a year after my husband was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease, he and I met with Scott McClurg to discuss how to modify our home to accommodate our changing needs.  My sister and brother-in-law had been extremely pleased with renovations McClurg had done at their residence 12 years prior and again in 2003, and many of the members of the community of ALS patients and their families, with whom we met monthly following my husband's diagnosis, recommended that we contact McClurg to create our handicap accessible space.  Once we realized that building an addition to our modest, two-story home was the most logical choice for us, we felt compelled to work with the company we believed was most qualified to do the job well.

Overwhelmed and unsure of our needs, our family was guided through the decision-making and construction process with ease.  My husband, who typically insisted on being in charge, felt so confident in the ability of every craftsman who worked on our project that he readily relinquished control.  The contractor was respectful of our requests concerning the time that work would commence each morning, diligent in keeping our house as clean as possible every day that workers were on the premises, and consistent in his efforts to keep us apprised of the progress being made.  The addition, completed on schedule, became the perfect sanctuary for my husband.  It included a closet and bathroom, was large enough to house the increasing amount of medical equipment he required without resembling a hospital room, and contained an elevated fireplace, suggested by McClurg's project consultant, which provided warmth and an ambiance that my husband enjoyed so much, at first from his recliner, then from his wheelchair, and finally from his hospital bed.  A sliding glass door to the ramp allowed any available sunlight to bathe the room, making everyone who entered smile.  As I explained in a letter I wrote to Scott McClurg after my husband lost his battle with ALS, our addition was the brightest spot during our darkest days, both literally and figuratively, and I will forever be grateful to everyone at McClurg for creating such a beautiful, comforting space.
One day, after my husband's condition had deteriorated to the point that he needed a bipap machine to breathe, we lost power during an autumn storm.  In panic mode, I called 911, and after the emergency workers set up a generator on our deck, but were unable to restore electricity to the addition, I called McClurg to ask for the phone number of the electician who had worked on our project.  Within a half hour, the electrician arrived at our home, followed a few  minutes later by Scott McClurg.  They demonstrated, once again, how to reset the circuit breaker, and Scott then assured me that he was always just a phone call away.
I found McClurg Remodeling and Construction Services to be outstanding in terms of expertise, attention to detail, and customer service.  I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the company to anyone seeking quality work.

P  Otoole called to seewhat had to be done and didn't realize the amt of work necessary.  Therefore I had to reschedule another visit.

The second visit is to be tomorrow. He is to be here at 8am. Last time he was 30min late.  I'm accustomed to paying by the job not by the hour. He was rescheduled for the following week because of an emergency, and rescheduled again because the couple decided to redo their kitchen. I do feel that was unfair ,and told Mr. O'Toole as much with no satisfaction.  I can understand an emergency, but more work should have gone on the list instead of putting me off .Mr. O'Toole quoted me 45/hr.and when the work was almost done I told him about the coupon.  He said that was included in the price.   Tim did honor the coupon.  Most of the work should have been viewed by the Mr O'toole before work began so I could have an idea of the cost.  Mr.O'toole  never showed to see what needed to be done. The person who did the work was Tim and John. Tim kept me informed as he worked. I would probably call him again.

    HOME MECHANIX OF CNY
Door was installed upside down. As a result, the roll-away screen was damaged and is unusable. The owner of the business has repeatedly said he will replace the door with a new one but has never shown up to do it. I have been asking him for six weeks to install a new door--he repeatedly tells me he will be over to do it on a certain day and then does not show up.
