    I took them over everybody else because they were the cheapest. The price just went up because we had a special for $30 where they gave a $3 credit per month but it went up a little bit because of the promotion things they have going every year. It is kind of, off the promotion things right now and it's still not bad. I have over a hundred and fifty to two hundred channels so I don't mind the plan. If the snow blocks the signals it does cut out on me because it is satellite. If it rains real hard it shuts the TV up and loses its signal. My brother and I have an idea and it will never cut out the signal. I like Direct TV because they have a variety of sports channels, movie channels and I can even record the program. It is 24/7 and it never goes out unless the weather changes. The picture and the voice come in real clear. They have great service and they have great quality in their pictures and TV. They come when they tell they are coming. They don't beat around the bush. If they can't make it they call us and tell that they can't come. They do prompt service when they do say they are coming to service our home. They are very good.

    I know that it's better that Timer Warner. We also have a cottage so that when we have the Dish we use one of the boxes down there so we don't have to pay for dual services. If we're having a really bad storm you can't get it. But other than that I don't have any complaints about it. They always fix it right away and they can't do much about it when we have torrential downpours. Their price is better of our choices.

    Dish although it can be somewhat expensive, it is competitive with pricing compared to its competitions. The only complaint with them is that you cannot get a good signal during a storm.

    Direct TV is lot better than the others. My experience with them has been very good. We had this network in the beginning and it's just that the bill fluctuated up and down so much and I couldn't get the NFL ticket. The quality of the screen is a lot better. Even Direct TV it was very low in the beginning, but they lowered, of course, when my wife called.

    The over product satisfaction is very high. The service provided was for the most part, very well worth the money. Much better value than the alternatives in that area. The customer service was very good, however, the bill is very difficult to understand

    For the past week and a half, our service dies rather predictably 1 to 2 hours after we turn the TV on. Last night, my husband spent a half hour on the phone with Direct TV (800-531-5000) trying to get help. They told him to call back when the problem reoccurred -- which it did last night -- but we were too tired to call. Tonight, I have been on the phone with them for 51 minutes so far. First, I spoke with someone named Anthony who agreed to replace our receiver if we re-upped our service for 24 months and subscribed to Showtime. No thanks. All we want is for our current service to work. Then, I was passed off to someone in the equipment department who did not seem to be able to access all the notes and troubleshooting we have already done with them on the phone yesterday and today. The equipment person said they could only fix our receiver if we signed up for a $50 warranty. Sorry, all we want is for our current contracted service to work. I was so appalled that I asked for a supervisor. STILL WAITING! OK, 26 minutes later, I am finally on the line with a person named Michelle who is a supervisor. OMG - repeating our receiver's issue for the 4th time. Seriously? Do these people have a customer database? Are they unable to type notes? I am floored by how bad my customer experience with them is over the last two days. At least this one didn't insist on selling us something in order for us to get service under our current contract. FINALLY OFF THE PHONE - It took 1 hour and 10 minutes to set up a technician visit for a week from tomorrow. My husband, who LOVES his NFL package through Direct is ready to dump them now, and I was ready to do it a half hour ago. Absolutely ludicrous! I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING BUSINESS WITH DIRECT TV. THE TV IS FINE WHEN IT WORKS. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS DREADFUL IF IT DOESN'T!
