    Feldman, Dr. Hal D.
My family and I have treated with many physicians in the Township of Huntington. Dr. Feldman is "exceptionally knowledgeable and talented" while maintaining a caring bedside manner. His outstanding reputation proceeds him. I have and will continue to refer friends, family and coworkers knowing I am providing them the opportunity to have exceptional care. Thank you Dr Feldman! Hospital for Special Surgery
Nursing staff and PA's were beyond excellent. Everyone was nice. The aids varied. Some aids were superior in work ethic and quality of care and some just ok - but none were bad. PT was good with exercises, walking and stairs, but I wasn't really ready to go home to get in and out of bed - PT didn't focus on that at all really and has been really problematical at home. The Education Seminar really didn't prepare enough for challenges of going home after surgery - so that the home could be prepared. As for after surgery it focused on exercises, socks, commodes, and reaching yes. Unfortunately Sleeping needs sitting and laying down needs not focused on enough, other than the purchase of a cushion and toilet seat. The idea of having the education seminar was great, just could help more with the 24 our issues of sleeping or sitting. Hospital was absolutely immaculate. One person was nicer than the next. Not a mean person among the hospital staff I encountered bed side. They did a great job with pain management, with the exception when nurses had to line up to get medicine disbursed, and when a nurse from another floor who was working my floor had to get permission from a superior who was not immediately available, to get meds - the meds were unnecessarily delayed and pain increased. Thee were many exceptional nurses, I'd like to give a shout out to Colleen and to Whitney who were beyond exceptional.

    Wayne Altman MD
If you go on Yelp, there are negative reviews, and it is not true, I have gone to this guy for years. I think people go in and whine a lot. It is not fair. There is nothing that I don't like about him. He took care of my kid when he was in football and broken in bits and pieces, and I needed to have a knee replacement. He doesn't have a good bedside manner, but he is a great doctor. Whenever I have wanted to see him, I have been able to see him within a week, or immediately for an emergency. The wait time is just 10 minutes of your appointed time.

ACTIVE ORTHOPAEDICS & SPORTS MEDICINE PA
I started developing stiffness and knee pain in one of my knees. Quick X-ray showed some arthritis. Dr. Vasquez suggested viscosupplementation injections, which he performed in three week intervals. Did not have too much effect, so they scheduled MRI. He took time to discuss results and suggested some minor surgery that might help. I'm considering it but have not committed to it yet. His manner is very clear and gives you the information you need. The staff in the office is very professional and do a lot of follow up. Very pleased with Dr. Oscar Vasquez and the office. Will continue to use them and recommend.

    Gladstone, Dr. James
The turnout was great, and I was pleased with his service. I had trouble with my knee, and I was satisfied with his treatment. I actually recommended him to a colleague of mine, and he had his surgery a month ago by the same provider. I would rate him highly. I would definitely see him again in the future if I need to.

They did an excellent job on the procedure. I haven't had any problems with it since the operation. I would recommend them to those who need a good orthopedic surgeon.

    Helen Hayes Hospital PHM
I was brought to Helen Hayes Hospital from the hospital where my surgery was done (Good Samaratin Hospital, Suffern, NY) I traveled by ambulette (in a wheelchair in a van). When I arrived the nursing staff welcomed me by name and asked how my ride was. They asked if I was hungry, needed medication for pain or use of the bathroom. All of which I answered in the affirmative. They made me feel great! Next they took a history and explained in great detail exactly what was expected of me and what schedule I would follow. They then asked what I expected of them. Nice touch! I spent five days of intensive physical and occupational therapy. It was from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. It was exhausting but WOW, I could tell I was really improving and becoming more mobile on my own. I needed to be able to walk up stairs, take a shower and walk with a walker independently in order to be discharged. Besides the therapies, the doctors and nurses made sure my medical problems were addressed and my pain kept under control. The nursing assistants were also a great help as were all the assistants and even the dietician came in to visit. I can now understand why everyone says Helen Hayes is THE place to go for rehab. When I have my other knee replace, I know I will be returning!

    Ahmad, Dr. Christopher S
I really needed a great surgeon, and got one. He repaired my meniscus, and removed a bone chip. He preformed a new procedure to let the knee regrow. I am now 100%.
