    C & M Home Improvement
I wish I could give C & M even more stars! My experience with Matt, Jose, Matteo and Juan (as well as everyone else working for them) could not have been better. C & M renovated an office space for me and they did an amazing job. They added new walls and doors (were even able to make them soundproof), new floors, a new bathroom, a new kitchenette, re-wired for a split system, painted, wallpapered, and more. Yes, this was a big project for me, renovating, furnishing, dealing with a co-op board, dealing with city and state offices, lots of stress to say the least. But then there was Matt and the C & M team--ahhhh, stress-free: really! Imagine a contractor that anticipates the next thing to be done; think of a small thing that you would like, and before you ask for it, it is done. Imagine a contractor who is honest, kind, thoughtful, really smart, professional, works clean, and is meticulous in the execution of everything. He was done before I thought he would be! No, it is not a dream: it is C & M. I cannot say enough good things about C & M. Consider yourself lucky to be able to hire them.

    C & M Home Improvement
Matt and his team did an AMAZING job. They provided all services to rip out the old and renovate an entire 100+ year-old apartment. The quality of the work was phenomenal! It was a bit pricey compared to some other quotes I received, but the attention to detail, the quick and responsive communication, and the professionalism of the crew, made it well-worth the price paid. Also, Matt was up front about EVERYTHING. All costs were laid out, in detail, from the onset. We had a few unexpected projects pop up (which was to be expected from an old house), but they were addressed immediately and efficiently. I would highly recommend C&M for your renovation project. You will not be disappointed.

    Picasso Expert Renovations
Gorgeous "New" Kitchen/Bath, first floor paint and new flooring throughout in 3 weeks. We recently completed a kitchen a bath renovation. We also replaced all flooring and molding and painted the first floor rooms adjacent to the kitchen which dramatically updated and changed the look of our entire home. The job was done on the price we had agreed upon and completed in 3 weeks. The work is detailed and moved quickly. The workers completed a daily punch list and the space was kept extremely neat and clean. Time and budget was managed well and we had no surprises. Picasso owners kept us informed and updated on what work was completed and what to expect for the following days. It was a gratifying procedure and it went by quickly, it was nice to be so well informed. We are very satisfied with the project and are loving our "new" home. Thank you to the Picasso team!

    D'Sapone Restorations Brooklyn
Deeply disappointing experience. We hired DSapone based on Internet reviews. We only later realized that these were fake - the same fake accounts that reviewed DSapone in New York wrote fake reviews of their work in other cities. When someone introduces themselves with a lie, theyre telling you who they are. DSapone arrived on time and presented professionally. They were pleasant to deal with, until we realized that they had done a terrible job. DDapone took a beautiful (albeit aged) marble countertop and ruined it. They accentuated unnoticeable scratches and imperfections. Long after they arrived, we found deep gouges in freshly painted walls in exactly and only the areas where DSapone had worked. DSapones restoration work on our marble floor was so superficial that it caused another more experienced stone contractor to laugh out loud. I don't know if I would call it a ripoff or a scam, but it is clear they only did superficial work. We just finished a top to bottom renovation of a classic Brooklyn loft. We worked with an army of contractors, and while they werent all perfect, all except DSapone took responsibility for their work. With two D'Sapone contractors standing in our family home, we kept our commitment to pay them in cash at the end of the day based on D'Sapone's promise that they would come back (at our expense!) to fix the work they had done. We never saw them again. Im writing with the hope you wont see DSapone either, and will learn from our mistake in hiring D'Sapone and instead find an honest, local, reputable contractor who doesnt build their business with fake reviews, upselling, and a rented P.O. box. Don't be fooled by the embroidered polo shirts. Whenever a home renovation contractor, in their own words, offers "franchise" opportunities to people with no experience and claims they can be qualified to do expensive and highly-specialized work in your home with a few days training, keep looking. Complete Carpentry
We have used Chris and his team multiple times over the past few years. Any renovation can be overwhelming and scary, but working with Chris has been a dream. He is professional, meticulous to detail, reliable, trustworthy and always fair. Chris has done our kitchen and bathrooms, drywall, lighting, laid wood and tile floors down, and reinforced our sloping floors. Chris is very knowledgeable in all phases of construction and the end result for everything was more that we could ever hope for. He always arrived early in the morning and never left a mess after being done for the day. He and his team really work to your satisfaction. It is not easy living through a renovation, but Chris and his team made it was easy as possible, and he prides himself on keeping his customers happy. It is very difficult to find a reliable contractor, but we found it in Chris, and we would not hesitate to recommend Chris to anyone, and have many more projects that we would love to have him do for us.

    Gaudioso Contracting
In 2016 we purchased a semi-detached two-family home in a neighborhood in Queens, NYC. The house needed major renovations and we count ourselves very fortunate to have selected Gaudioso Inc. as our contractor. In a first phase, Luis and his crew renovated the first floor rooms, did repairs on the brick walls outside and replaced the garage roof and the patio roof. We were pleased with the result and decided to continue with Gaudioso Inc for the next step: stripping the entire basement and rebuilding it while adding a bathroom and a laundry room. Yet again, we were happy with the work performed and the professionalism of Luis and his crew and the subcontractors. Once the basement was finished and an additional bathroom was available in the basement, we tackled phase three: renovation of the first floor bathroom and kitchen (while our daughter continued to live there), which was recently completed to our full satisfaction. Our compliments also go to Allison in the office who does an outstanding job keeping in touch with customers. No phone call ever remained un-returned and no e-mail un-answered. Since my husband and I live currently in a different state, it was especially important to be able to communicate by phone, e-mail or text message. The house was built in 1946, so we anticipate that more work will need to be done in the future. Right now, we are taking a break, but eventually we'll continue with renovations and it's a good feeling that Gaudioso Inc will be there to help us. One last comment: I noticed that their overall "A" rating contains one "B" under the "cost" rubric. I disagree with that "B". I think the old adage "you get what you pay for" holds true especially in construction. We want to be confident that everybody who works on our property is licensed and insured. It was also important to us to be able to find on-line reviews such as the ones on Angie's List here. Three other contractors we considered at the very beginning back in 2016 came in with lower offers but were difficult to communicate with or impossible to research.

    DM Contracting & Restoration Inc
We hired DM to help renovate two condos we own side by side. They handled multiple types of work for us, the two main parts of the job were removing a stairwell and covering it up with new flooring to match existing and removing a load bearing wall. They also put down new flooring, removed and put up various walls, put in new counter tops and sinks, renovated bathrooms, and stained floors, painted and did numerous odds and ends around the job. Their work was great and we are extremely happy with them. I plan to hire them again and have sent recommendations of them out to all of my friends and associates. Dan was great to deal with, he will always get back to you in short order and is very knowledgeable of all aspects of construction. The workers were extremely professional and hard working, they even came in on Saturdays to meet deadlines. In terms of pricing they were great, no other contractors I checked with were even close. Overall I highly recommend Dan and Co and look forward to working with them again. We've used a half a dozen contractors over the years and have always had issues, this is the first time we've had a job done with no legitimate complaints and are extremely satisfied. Matt
