    Credit Cards of America
The company starting taking money out of my son-in-laws account and when we asked that they stop the service and return the money the company stated that they would give him his money back in sixty days.

    WELLS FARGO HOME MORTGAGE
Services were provided, but not to my satisfaction, especially considering the amount of money the company stands to make while servicing my mortgage. Home mortgage for a house in Long Island, NY. I was recommended to them from my bank USAA to service my loan. From the beginning, WF was difficult to deal with and unpleasant. Recently, through my own ignorance. I submitted a payment but did not have the funds in my account. I then made sure the funds were in the account and set up a different payment. The problem is, they keep trying the present the payment even after telling them to stop. The customer service agent at WF tells me my bank has to stop it, and my bank tells me WF has to stop it. I would not recommend banking with Wells Fargo, or USAA. Terrible service.

    TD Bank
The hours and location make TD Bank what I think is the best option for a large bank in New York. There hours are awesome! There is never a time when I can't go there and get what I need. They're open until 8 at night and they're open on weekends. It's a bank for the people, not for bankers, and it's fabulous. On balance their customer service is excellent. They may make a mistake sometimes, but when they do they want to correct it. I've had very good experiences there.

    HSBC - New York
I switched because they suck.  HSBC used to be a fairly good choice, especially for people who travel because they have a lot of branches in other countries.  The problem is they have very bad customer service. They used to have a line for personal banking and a line for business banking.  I would use the business line because I own a company, and it worked pretty well.  HSBC then implemented a system called Premier Banking for people who have over $100,000 of assets at the bank, and they made a third line for them.  All of a sudden I went from a line that was fairly fast for business people to getting screwed by the fact that the tellers would be either servicing the personal banking line, or the premier and business lines, and they would always take the premier line first.  Sometimes they would literally have no tellers for the business lines.  And if you tried to bring that to their attention they were too incompetent to realize what a bad system they set up. On top of that they made it very difficult to close my account.  They were not responsive in any way.
