Steven and team did an outstanding job turning our home from one with chipped paint from multiple terrible painting jobs and gapping holes from woodpeckers to looking like a brand new home! The team replaced all damaged shingles, removed an old door and added shingles in its place to match the rest of the house, sanded down the old paint (over multiple days) and then painted beautifully. They also took some extra days to remove old wallpaper up our stairs and in our hallways, repaired the drywall and repainted. Every day the team was onsite and ready to work at the time we were told (and usually even early) and the project was wrapped up exactly when we were told, and surpassed all of our expectations. We will definitely be recommending Flying Colors to anyone and everyone in the future.

I highly recommend Paintworks and Decorating to anyone in the New York area looking for a reliable and high quality partner to complete a renovation project of any kind. I met Ricky and Ryan a couple times to discuss the scope and budget for the project. Their pricing was extremely fair and transparent. Most important, the bulk of the project had to be completed during a two week window while I was out of the country. I took a leap of faith that Paintworks would get the job done properly and on time without any in person supervision, and needless to say it paid off. As with any project, the last 5% took the most time to complete (not Paintworks' fault). Ricky and Ryan actively followed up with me on a daily basis until every single punchlist item was complete and I was 100% satisfied. My project included: *Removal and replacement of all interior doors, trim and baseboards *Stripping of ~100 years of paint from interior and exterior door frames *Design and build of custom radiator covers with build in storage *Wiring Cat6, Coax and FIOS throughout apartment *Moving and adding electrical outlets *Paint job on walls and ceilings *Misc. cleanup of ~100 year old apartment features to look brand new

My wife and I put off remodeling the kitchen for years partly because we didn’t want to deal with the inconvenience of living without a kitchen for a long period and partly because we couldn’t find a contractor that we were confident with. We had heard so many horror stories from friends and neighbors about long delays and inferior work. That all changed when we went to Monks’ Design Center in Morristown and met Design consultant Marien Ronan. She came out to our house several times and created a few different floor plans. Marien helped us pick tile and cabinets, light fixtures, paint colors, and gave suggestions on appliances. She was always available whenever we needed her and was never upset with all the changes we made to the original plan. Project Manager, Bill Buckner, and his staff were equally as tremendous. Bill provided me with a plan and timetable and kept to it. They actually finished the project a day or two early. All of the craftsmen that did work in the house, whether they were painters, or floor tile installers, electricians, plumbers, demolition, were professional and personable. All the work was done with as little mess and inconvenience to us as possible. Whatever issues we may have had, they were few and minor, were immediately resolved. Every bit of their work met or excided our expectations. I not only would use Monks again but plan on doing so in the very near future. I wholeheartedly recommend Monks with no reservations.

After an extensive investigation taking into account online feedback/reviews and speaking to other construction firms, I decided on Nunez Construction to fully renovate my entire house consisting of three separate apartments. Efren (the owner) was able to fully understand the work required and also suggested additional modifications; some requiring no additional cost which made quite a difference to the appearance and functionality of the units. It was quite evident that he was extremely knowledgeable on all types of challenges and knew exactly how they should be handled which he was able to explain to me in the simplest terms. The company employees some of the most skilled people in the trade in all areas of demolition, construction, painting, and plumbing and I was amazed how well and quickly they were able to complete all the work. Eric (Forman/Project manager) is without a doubt one of the most experienced hands-on people you can have involved and managing the team. Most importantly – as with any project regardless of magnitude, you will experience unforeseen circumstances and require immediate attention and Efren was on-site (usually multiple times) every single day to monitor and update me on the progress and most importantly he would answer his phone every single time I called and address any concerns immediately. Nunez construction exceeded my expectations and is truly a company that takes pride in their work . . . . . .

Precise Preparation Painting

Jose did a great job. He was able to remove old, nasty wallpaper in our foyer and gave it a fresh look. He also installed crown molding in the foyer, painted the stairs and installed trim around the entrances to the other rooms. He performed his work on schedule, even if that meant working late to finish the project. Overall I would definitely recommend him and would use him in the future.

Unfortunately, I couldn't have had a worse experience. Not only that, the owner is harassing and threatening me by phone and text now. None of it was finished (not one part of the project) aside from the install of the stone for the patio. Everything else was quit midway thru because they didn't have the tools or he "misunderstood" the kind of grass I wanted (even though I sent him photos and references) and then told me he quoted me the wrong price. He had no means of getting the stones I asked for for the fire pit for the price he quoted me so he made it out of stones just taken from my driveway. He was never there on the time or day he said (and when I told him all the other incredibly reliable vendors I have received from Angie's List) from painters to floorers etc have all been amazing and communicative and on-time, he said that they probably just aren't as busy as he is so I shouldn't compare them. I paid him for the work he did and now he keeps harassing me for the original quote (which would have been what I'd pay him if he did any of the landscaping or fire pit etc - instead I had to hire another landscaper to do all the work that Carlos and his team could not do). He is scaring me and I would strongly warn any possible clients to beware.

I contracted with Blue Chip Painting and Contracting Inc. d/b/a Precision Painting Plus with Carmine {last name removed} (Suffolk #57735-H). In my opinion, they are unreliable, misleading and deceiving, failed to perform, had shoddy workmanship, skimped on contracted work to be done, abandoned project mid contract, did not timely perform, and should not be contracted with. Horrible experience.

Ramos Pro-Painting did a great job painting a room for us, they were very precise with all the trim and small details and the result came out great! Euliser did some caulking in the bathroom too, which we were also happy with. He and the other guy he brought with him were nice and courteous and worked fast and efficiently to get the job done. He was also responsive with returning texts/calls, and flexible about scheduling the job, which was very much appreciated. Would definitely recommend!

I hired Luis Calderon (for the third time) to redesign and install a new bathroom. Luis suggested repositioning the bathtub, toilet, and sink; a perfect solution. He installed a pocket door (also his idea) to save on space. The new bathroom required all new plumbing, electric, and wiring. He did it all to perfection. Molding, grout, etc, choices were 100%. Luis Calderon's prices are extremely reasonable considering what he provides. He and his team were always on time and when they finished each day, the entire house was left immaculately. I cannot say enough great things about Luis Calderon, Contractor.
