  • Although they were on time that is where the good review ends. I made it clear the hedges were formal and needed straight lines. When I called back Paoulo to show him how crooked all the hedges were he insisted they were fine and customers that ask for work to be fixed will never be satisfied. There are so many other tree companies and its not worth paying a lot of money for poor work and no option to remedy the situation with the company that happily accepted payment in full.

  • He was hired to open the sprinkler in spring which is a $100 job. He never said anything about additional repairs and billed me over $1000. If he had told me additional work was needed, spoke to me and gave me an estimate, I would have gladly entertained the work.

  • 10 days after my usual company came to open my sprinkling system I found a sprinkler head that was leaking. (They found no leaks when they came!). I called the old company and they said it would be over two weeks before they could come back to check they're work. So I found Pacific Lawn sprinklers on Angie's list and ask them to come. The people on the phone setting up the schedule were very polite and responsive to get someone to me as soon as possible even though I had to wait about five days because it's the season. They came within the time promised and were very professional and courteous. I didn't feel the same "attitude" of "you're not the only one" that I did with the older company. I felt like they cared. As I walked the property with them we found seven heads leaking in the system. Two days later my landscaper found a leak in the flower bed from the hose underground. I called the company and they squeezed me in to the point where they came 8 o'clock at night to see the leak in the underground hose. The very next day they fixed it and apologize for not discovering it is that when they first came. They are such nice people to deal with. They are now in charge of my sprinkler system because I think they're more thorough and caring about their customers.

  • Do yourself a favor. Go somewhere else. Literally 30 unreturned phone calls over a 2 week period after written estimate provided to my wife by John in person. Finally a call back stating and I quote "the cost will be DRASTICALLY" higher than their written estimate - Tony. Speaking to Tony, also made clear that the job could not be started for "at least a MONTH".

This business does not stand by their written estimates, does not return phone calls, classic BAIT AND SWITCH. Did not even have the decency to let us know perhaps after 10 unreturned phone calls that they did not want the job. Will report them to the BBB.

We deal with contractors all the time doing renos and work to rental properties. Save yourself time and aggravation.

  • I had two enormous tree stumps that needed to be ground down with a stump grinding machine. It was complicated by the fact that one of the stumps was on a fairly steep slope close to the lot line, making access difficult. I got several estimates for the work, and the others claimed it would take 2-3 days, and that carrying out the debris would take a lot of time and cost extra money. Tim Sprance was the lowest bid and seemed more knowledgeable than the other companies. It was a bit difficult to reach him since he does all the work himself, including estimates, and returns calls after hours when he is done with his grinding. But it was worth it. The day of the job, he showed up early. Incredibly professional and personable, he introduced himself to the neighbors and showed sensitivity to their concerns that a multi-ton machine was hovering on a slope above their backyard. He did the job in a single day, carried out debris and left the place in great shape. He also made sure to show me how deep he ground the stumps (down about 2 feet below ground level). Overall, I was extremely impressed and would use him again in a heartbeat. I only wish he did tree removal as well.

  • The company frequently and gradually kept recommending one treatment after another to improve the lawn. we followed all their recommendations for a whole year and paid for each treatment a minimum of $150 every time , sometimes more than $200 and we ended up with a horrible looking lawn. It looks as bad as we started a year ago so do not waste your money with this company. They offer reasonable rates in the beginning to pull the leg of new customers. After almost a year, We contacted the company to complain about how horrible the lawn looks , they did not care and they did not offer to fix it ! They did not care about getting a bad review on Angie's list either!

  • The crew showed up right on time and made quick work of project. The pruned 6 different trees, (including one that is much taller than my 3 story home) removed a decrepit hedgerow and several miscellaneous hedges and cleaned up a backyard area overrun with weeds and junk saplings. They ground down all the stumps and removed all of the waste. All this for what was a very reasonable price.

  • It went AWESOME! Mr. Palmieri gave me a great estimate for my driveway replacement. The work began as promised and finished as expected. I monitored every step of the way - the workers were fast and neat. They did a great job. Ralph, the supervisor was AWESOME. After the job was done, he took the time to patiently answer my questions which included dos & don'ts for the post installation and years to come.

  • It went well.  His team came early each day and did a good job cleaning up.  Team worked through many of the cold winter days unless it was raining or snowing.  Very pleased with end result and Luis did an excellent job cleaning up after the project was finished.
I had to have a set of stone stairs that rise 2-stories to my front door
rebuilt.  I had a structural engineer design the plans and submit them
to the town.  Got three separate quotes for the construction.  Choose
Luis as he was the most flexible in working on price with me.  He
agreed to reuse the existing stone so that so that it would match the
rest of the house.  His guys came on time and he was excellent in
cleaning up and making sure the project looked excellent at completion.
He even came back 10 days after completion to power wash the stairs to
remove residual cement dust.  There were a few things that I wanted to
change once we got started (things the engineer failed to include in the
plans),  He was able to do these and gave me a very fair price to
    expand the scope.
Project involved:  Demolition of the existing
stairs, Digging and pouring a foundation, preparing concrete forms,
pouring concrete walls and treads, splitting existing granit into facing
material, facing the stairs, installing blue-stone treads, Underneath
the stairs was a large storage room which was also coated in stucco.
