  • I would highly recommend Digital Media Installation to anyone looking to install or upgrade high quality TV, audio and home networking equipment. Khattar, the owner, is very easy to work with; he is punctual and keeps work areas clean and neat. He returned to my home at 7pm to show me how to use the system after it was installed, and he showed up on a Sunday to fix a problem with my WiFi (and refused to take payment for the work!). Although DMI sells TVs and audio equipment from some of the top manufacturers, Khattar didn't press me to buy any equipment through him. After I checked his prices against Amazon, Costco and other outlets, I ended up buying the TV and most of the other equipment through him as his prices were very competitive. His work exceeded my high expectations, and I will definitely work with him again.

  • He is highly skilled and very professional. He has done other work for me that other people did wrong. His work is very clean. For example, he was installed the flat panel TV and he was putting wires behind the wall. He insisted on cleaning the debris from the drywall and wouldn't leave until it was all cleaned. To find a very skilled, very professional and very clean electrician is amazing. I will continue to use him for any electrical work.

     I placed an order online with Sears  for a new HDTV including delivery and installation on Sunday 9/9/12. The order was for a tv and was to include free delivery, haul away and installation for $99.99. While online, I was very specific and very clear that the order was to include haul away of a 270 pound tv and moving a two piece armoire to a different wall in the same room about 10 feet away.  I explained to the rep that the new tv cannot be installed until these two steps are completed. He assured me this was not a problem and helped me to complete the entire order which was scheduled to be delivered 9/17/12.
    Later the same day, I get a call from Sears Home Delivery Service (subcontratced out  to these jokers) that the delivery date will be delayed by 1 week to 9/24/12. I was annoyed but figured ok no big deal. 
    On Friday, 9/14/12, I had a message from someone at Sears named Rochelle-847-981-6211 x1109 stating that she talked to the warehouse and the tv came into the warehouse and can be delivered anytime and to call "Albert" at 866-492-9812 to set the date and time. I called the number a few times and it always went straight to voice mail-Syphertek.   I left messages and no one ever called me back and I was too busy to keep chasing after this and figured I might as well stick to the 9/24/12 date.
    On Sunday, 9/23/12 at 9 pm I get a call from the warehouse (718-967-6567) stating that they would not be able to deliver the tv the next day, Monday 9/24/12.  I had already rearranged my work schedule to ensure that I would be home for the day for the installation.  They informed me that do not set the time until the night before-what kind of lousy delivery service is that?  They then agreed to come Tuesday night, 9/25/12 at 7 pm so that I would not have to miss work AGAIN.  At 7:30 pm, "Louis" called me (his number was 718-749-7017)and said he was on his way.  At 8:45 pm, he still had not showed up or called so I called him and he said he was lost.  He finally showed up at 9:30 p.m.-alone. And I said-how are you going to haul away the old tv and move the furniture by yourself. Well, he had no idea of these instructions and called his boss who said they do not move furniture even though the Sears rep had assured me this would not be a problem.  After much debate, "Louis" said he could come back the next night-Wednesday 9/26/12-with another person to haul away the tv, move the furniture and install the new tv.  In the meantime, he did bring in the new tv which is still sitting in my living room in the box because I cannot do anything with it until the other two items are taken care of. I do not even know if it is ok. "Louis" said he would be back Wednesday night, 9/26/12, between 7 & 10 pm.
    Well, the next night-Wednesday-9/26/12-I was home by 7 pm and "Louis" never showed up or called.  I called him at 9:30 pm and he answered, but when he realized it was me and why I was calling-he suddenly could not hear me and we got cut off and subsequent calls placed to his number went straight to voice mail.  
    The next day I spent a lot of time on the phone with four different people from Sears attempting to correct the situation.  The best I could get was a promise to credit my account for the installation that never occurred.   
    This whole thing has been a disaster. I am appalled at the atrocious process and the incompetent people at both Syphertek and Sears.
