Garage Door Repair And Installation reviews in Bronxville

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • Please note that earlier review was written before we made contact. Once scheduled, the new garage door opener was installed quickly and works beautifully. Mike is very professional and congenial. I'm very happy with the outcome.

  • Installation was never correct. The first door opener failed in 2 months. The door became progressively worse to the point that it would not close after 1 year. One of the sheaves/pulleys failed because it was out of alignment. The manager and a technician repaired it. Within 3 months it was again out of alignment. At that time the company refused to acknowledge the poor installation and stated that any service work will be charged the standard rates. Nice business model - poor installation and then repeat service visits. Life is too short to do business with All Door.

  • Person on phone told me a different way to put key in lock and twist it so as to get it back flush with garage door so there might not need to be a reason to replace the lock. He was correct and I saved the cost of a new lock. Very kind and helpful.
    - BRENDAN S.
  • They were a total rip off. Our garage door opener wasn't working right. They said that we needed a new one and said that they could sell us one now. It was double what I would have paid at a store. I said no. They charged us $70 just to come out and look at the opener. They didn't tell us in advance. I call a contractor to come do a job and they don't charge me to estimate the job. At that point I just paid them. We paid them $70 to not do anything except, to tell us that we needed a new opener. No work was done. I don't even think it was an estimate. They came on time.

  • Called the vendor to repair the garage door. A technician showed up at our front door asking for a credit card to charge COD amount of $103.62 service call fee upfront. (which actually is three times more than any other reputable companies in town). After charging my credit card, a technician walks over to our garage and without even entering the garage, he tells me that we need to change our entire 2 car garage door and the entire motor system to fix the problem because they are all about 20-30years old and there are no parts to order.
When I told him that our garage door was actually newly installed 3 years ago by them, the technician simply drove away without spending any additional minutes to take a look at the garage door opener which was the real reason for us for making a service call with this company.
Whenwe called the company immediately after their guy took off without having a take a look at our garage door opener, a woman named Pamela M told us that their guy couldn't order any parts because Moore-O-Matic doesn't produce parts any more. I told her that we have Lift Masters not Moore-O-Matic and I can see their parts are still being sold throughout different
websites like Amazon, she said she will have her supervisor to call us back. Since then, we never heard back from them and they never gave our money back for not performing any inspection besides making a sales pitch that everything was so old that we need to replace everything.
So basically, these guys robbed us $103 to tell us that everything needs to replaced and that we will need to spend alot more money with them otherwise they wouldn't even bother entering your garage to get your motor's brand name right.
Bottom line, they charged us $103 service fee when there were no services or inspections performed.

  • I called Action Lock & Door Co for a job and they were so good and so professional doing not only that job but 2 weeks later to change the door. They were very professional, very educated, very responsive, excellent. The first time that I called them they came the next day. The second time I called them they told me it was going to be a week. In exactly a week, they came back with everything and everything was perfect with them. I don't remember the price they charged but I thought that it was very reasonable.

  • The company responded right away. gave me an appointment the following day and came on time.
I got the promo rate with no strings attached. I did pay extra (which was an additional service) to have a security code put in from the outside and an extra remote.
Overall I am very satisfied with their work.
