Hardscaping reviews in Bronx

    Park Place Pavers Inc
The owner was arrogant and rude. He made a mess of my house, promised to come out and make it right, but they made it worse. My husband is now having to put sand between our pavement. The owner apologized, then came out and power washed our pavers, took all of our sand out, and my husband is now outside having to put all of the sand back in. My pavers started moving because they took all of the sand out of them. I would not recommend this provider for anyone. In order to improve, he needs to listem to a woman when they call him instead of being outrageous and start cursing at them. My neighbor hired them for the pavers and put the sealers on top, she is also a woman, and he was suppoesd to also come out and do the sealing, and they never showed up. She kept calling and calling and no one ever responded. She had to go and hire an entirely different company to do the sealing. I don't know how he does business, but in dealing with women he has no patience at all. It took them a week to send someone out to fix my pavers, he could have been busy, so I can't prove that he just put it off. He is not professional at all, with anyone!

John and his assistant were so hardworking and did a beautiful job. Ralph worked with us when there were unexpected issues with rocks in the soil. They left everything clean and orderly when they finished. I am already looking into hiring them again for more work.

It was a very neat operation, fast and extremely organized. Every time they were about to take a new step in the process they called me to inform me. It was amazing, I was very impressed. They are a first class organization,  It was more like restoration work than anything. They were a pleasure to deal with. They did just what I wanted, it was perfect. They knew exactly what they were doing and did a good job.

My husband and I would like you to know how pleased we are with the quality of the workmanship done by the Doctor Pavers Team.  The paver installation is beautiful and we have received many glowing reviews from friends, family and neighbors.  We especially would like to send a hearty Thank you to Roberto and Silvio who were professional, concise and created a masterful design/product.  We highly recommend your company as a premium service provider for patio installations and look forward to doing business with you in the future.

    A PALMIERI LANDSCAPING CO INC
They damaged our property and they didn't come when they were supposed to. They were supposed to come weekly and they mowed over two garden hoses and didn't replace them. They were charging us for services that they weren't providing. We ended up letting them go. We had them until May of this year. I was watching them. I called her and asked her why they didn't come and do the cleaning, and she said that she didn't know that they hadn't come. They told my nephew that they were tied up seeding. They charged me for not coming out. He had an attitude with me. The last time they came out, I told them not to come back. They did cut the grass twice. I do owe him two payments for the first two times they came. It was a horrible experience. The price was good, but they weren't responsible. $155 was way to expensive. I would never recommend them.

He was friendly, prompt, and started work within a few days of calling him to accept his bid.  He and his team worked quickly and delivered everything promised.  I would highly recommend him.

They job couldn't have gone off any better.
Ralph was our initial contact, and not only got EVERY bit of detail we gave him -- nothing was missed when they did the project, nothing -- but he took our vaguely formed project idea and made several recommendations, all of which we agreed to, and all of which ended up being 100% the right way to go.
The work was priced fairly (not the cheapest guys out there, but fairly priced).
The work was scheduled right away.
The work was done quickly -- it maybe took a week.
The work was done perfectly. Absolutely perfectly. Usually with jobs that are this big, there's always these little nit-picky things that you see after all is said and done that aren't HUGE problems, but they're there, and they annoy you every time you see it for the next 25 years. There was literally not a single thing wrong with the end result. Fabulous. Fabulous.
Neighbors keep coming by to say how great everything looks.
We also hired Palmieri to do weekly yard maintenance (the usual: mow, trim, etc.). And I would say the same for those services -- job is always well done.
I'd use Palmieri again. Easily. And would recommend them to my friends.

The guy showed up an hour late, just to give me several HIGH estimates in less than 3 minutes.  The guy (I don't remember his name) walked to my backyard and DID NOT MEASURE ANYTHING, he just EYE BALLED and guessed the length and width of the job that I wanted to get done (his guess was way off).  This is totally unprofessional, you you should come to a job site prepared, especially for an estimate.  His quotes for all the work (fix retaining wall and pour new concrete approx. 600 square feet) that I wanted to get done were all EXTREMELY HIGH.  He showed up an hour late and spent no more than 3 minutes at my house.  I will not use this company for any future jobs.  This was a waste of my time. NEVER AGAIN!

These guys are fantastic. Everyone from J&J office staff to several construction crews to Joe are friendly, prompt, courteous, skilled, hard-working and very professional. They have completed all the projects exactly as promised, and have also done several small odd jobs in the backyard free of charge. They have also left our garage, driveway, the street in front of our house and even the cars parked on that street sparkling clean at the end of construction. My newly paved driveway and sidewalk look great, and installation quality is very high. I am glad I used professionals whose craftsmanship will last and look good for many years.

    Nunez Construction and Painting
Sensational.  After renovating a multi-family property (see my earlier review of Nunez Construction), I had the soil tested in the back yard in preparation for my garden (flowers, veges, fruits, & herbs).  Turned out that residents had been dumping all sorts of nasty junk back there for at least a decade or two.  Needed to clear it out and replace it.  It measures 25' x 25', and I needed to go down at least 2 feet.  Problem is I have no driveway- just a 4' wide alley along the side of the house.  Called Efren (Nunez), he came down to take a look, figured out how we could get it done, and then we went and got it done.  He got a large dumpster curbside, and had 5 of his guys digging and filling buckets, transporting (hauling) the buckets to the dumpster, and packing down the dirt.  In one weekend the dumpster was full, and we were only half done.  So he scheduled another, and got the job finished the following weekend.  Currently waiting for a city inspector to deal with a retaining wall, but after the wall is dealt with (hopefully by Nunez), I absolutely will call them to help transfer the new topsoil from curbside to the back garden.  Sounds corny, but I think of them as family now.
