Plumber reviews in Briarwood

    L & G Plumbing
It couldn't have gone better! We had left a message on George's cell, and had received a call back within a few minutes.
He diagnosed the problem quickly and accurately, and the work was completed in one day.
This is the second job George did for us.  During the summer, he had installed a new sink and faucet for us, and , even then, we knew we would call him again for any plumbing projects.
George is totally reliable, comes when says he will come, returns phone call quickly, and cleans up thoroughly.
His prices are very fair, not inflated, and the work is excellent.
We feel very confident in recommending him to others, and intend to call upon him for all our plumbing needs.

    Mr. Handyman of NE Queens
The repairman was very punctual, very clean while performing his work. He was very nice also, easy to speak to. He was very professional, did his work in a very timely  fashion.  I thought  the work would take 2-3 hours &  it was finished in 1 hr..I highly recommend this handyman. I live in a co-op &  my bathroom really needed this work done.  I don't think  my bathroom has looked this good since  we renovated it  20yrs ago. Price  included materials purchased for the project.

    Dundee Plumbing & Heating
I contacted Dundee Plumbing on January 16, 2013 and they were able to send someone to my home the next day to repair the thermostat on my boiler.  The technician, Anthony was punctual and professional.  He took care of the problem in under an hour and explained his work and how to operate the new thermostat.  He also explained that part of the problem was electrical and would have to be taken care of by an electrician.  This was a very positive experience.  We would use this company again.

    A Good Plumber Inc
There was a leak from the pipes hidden in the ceiling of the basement on 12/4/2012.  I came to angieslist and called a few companies including A Good Plumber Inc -- based on the reviews I have seen. Bill Sobolow, returned my call and explained the process in a professional manner and answered all questions that I had patiently. Keep in mind that this is a family owned business and they just had a death in the family. He informed me as much and only schedule me for the 7th.  Since, it was bit of an emergency I explained to him -- that I will be calling others to get this repaired ASAP.
I had called Roto Rooter -- and the person who called me seemed more inclined on going home rather than coming and looking at the problem and explaining what needed to be done.  Needless to say I cancelled him on the spot.  There was another company that I called -- but they could not make it out there since they are part of the Rapid Response for Hurricane Sandy.
I decided to stick with Bill Sobolow -- and I was glad.
Warren Sobolow, arrived on time as scheduled.  Unfortunately, the tenant was not home and Warren patiently waited for his return-- and understood that it was a tenant occupied premise and also mentioned the time he has to leave to make it to another appointment -- which I understood and respected.  It was good that the tenant arrived before that to give him access to the basement.
He reviewed the issue  and informed that the water is warm and thinks its heater pipe leak.  He informed me that, he would need to access the pipe and explained me the cost. I agreed and he went on to access the leak and repair it.  He also checked other piping  issues in the basement (at no cost) and informed that I should look into these repairs for the future (nothing immediate -- and did not try to push sale -- but I am glad he informed me of these issues that exist).
They repaired the leak and I enjoyed their professionalism and the constant communication -- text with Bill and phone with Warren.
They would have gotten all A's -- but the pricing seemed a little steep especially to open access to the leak itself.  I would suggest, bringing down the pricing on access. I completely understand their visit charge-- as there is Overhead and time involved to sending someoneout.  I feel they would ALWAYS recieve all A's if the access charge would be decreased.
I will definitely be calling them for more repairs to the premise.

Harris Water Main & Sewer Contractors Inc
One of the most professional, courteous, and efficient company I have worked with.

After finding the sewer line issue, I joined Angies list to find a company that could do the job reliable. There were two main companies in NY that I would consider for doing any job on the sewer and after interacting with both you cannot go wrong with Harris Sewer.

I reached out to Harris and left a message and received a call promptly from Brett. He explained that he would go by the house the next day and understand what is that needs to happen. He went by as scheduled and asked to meet on Saturday when he would do a much more comprehensive survey. We met on that Saturday and 1PM and was given a quote. The quote was a lot less than the other quotes I had taken and decided on employing them for the repair job. I usually don't give monies before work is done -- but the comfort level and professionalism they had extended built my trust and gave the a 50% advance, the rest to be paid after all job was complete.

I was scheduled for a Friday next week (because permits needed to be taken out) and they were timely in arriving there with Miguel, a foreman who has been with them for 17 years, leading the team. He also was courteous and explained all aspects of the repair questions we had before, during and after the job was done. We ran into an issue where steps had to be broken to access the pipe -- and when I said that would be costly to repair -- Miguel assisted by excavating further down so the steps need not be broken -- which was above and beyond what they had to do. Most would break steps and not care of the costs involved to the landlord. They waited until the DEP came by to inspect and confirm all is well before filling up the excavation.

I was scheduled for Monday for a cement person to be there and was advised someone should be there for atleast 2 hours as people tend to write on wet cement. When I informed Brett, that it was a work day and neither of us would be home -- he ensured that the cementing person was there for 2 hours mentioned and that the cememnt hardened so no one could write on it.

Overall -- in our years of home ownership this has been one of the most seamless and worry-free home repair experiences we have ever had -- hence the lengthy details of the experience. I am pretty sure any one of my fellow homeowners won?t be disappointed if they use them. I know my friends and family will.

Middle Village Plumbing Heating and Cooling
Middle Village Plumbing sent a plumber to my house on the same day that I called. The Plumber was courteous and professional. He replaced the faucet in a short amount of time for a reasonable price.

    T F O Brien & Co Inc
Very Poor customer service and communication, they were very hostile and defensive towards my wife, called her difficult, walked away from her, raised their voices.
