    Lefferts Animal Hospital
It went better than I expected! Dr. Halpern took into account all my dog's medical records (over 100 pages) and history. He detected a heart murmur which I failed to report and a cyst over his left eye that wasn't a huge concern for me, but an annoyance. (He put a needle in the cyst and it disappeared like magic!!) Here's my Google review: I was extremely pleased with my 12-year old dog's new vet. The staff was friendly and knowledgable. The location was convenient for parking (during the mid-day) and clean. Although a small facility, it was a welcoming experience. Most importantly, they had the knowledge to deal with Sammy and all of his medical needs from the complex (lupoid onchodystrophy) to the mundane (arthritis). They also understood that as a rescue, he has psycho-emotional baggage that require some special handling. Lastly, their prices were reasonable and they gave me options for regular testing and medications in order to keep the costs down. I will definitely go back. I'm very happy to have a regular vet again.

    Ramella's Canine Academy
We got our much anticipated Portuguese Water Dog and he was a handful to say the least. He joined our family that included a Havanese girl that I had trained myself. Our new addition was  strong minded and full of energy and we found him stressful and a challenge. Ramella took him and committed to bring him back a calm and manageable dog who we could enjoy in two months. Ramella never wavered from her promise as our dog took longer than two months to train and she did nnot bring him back until he was fully trained at no additional cost than agreed upon. Our puppy came home and he is an absolute delight . She did not just do the basic obedience training but she trained him to fit into our lifestyle and still be a dog. She worked with him to be a well balanced dog and she exceeded all our expectations. Ramella has positively impacted our lives and if you are looking for a trainer, I cannot recommend her enough.

The dog is definitely taken out, she leaves a note out that she is there. The dog is taken for his walk at noon, and if we need any extra time, like when we are going out, and we want her to come by, she is always available. It is a 5 day a week thing. I pay $17 for a half hour visit. The pricing is fair. The dog seems to be happy, he doesn't seem fearful. I am not there when she is. She has been very responsive.

Jennifer has been taking my two dogs on walks for the past couple of months and she has been great. She is very professional in her organization of the business, gives me updates when necessary (or sometimes just for fun!) of the dogs' walks, and is always very responsive. I would definitely recommend her to take care of your dogs.

    Lefferts Animal Hospital
Their waiting room was too small so there are people shooing the dogs, people with cat carriers placed on the lobby, and some of the people stood outside with the big dogs. Their whole place was kind of very small. There seemed to be a lot of commotion there. I think they have three doctors there, a lot of technicians, and some working in the back, it was very hectic. I've been to other places where they have much more calm environment. With their works, I had to bring my cat back so I had to deal with the other dogs again. Other than that , they are okay.

    QUEENS MIDWAY ANIMAL HOSPITAL
He has a great bedside manner and I would give him A's on the whole thing. His prices are reasonable, he listens well and he has a very nice demeanor. He really listens no matter how many times I call. He's really great. Except for boarding. We haven't boarded our dogs in quite a while but I didn't think that the place was very clean. We have been going there for years but people tell me that his prices are very reasonable. There are usually a lot of people there so I end up having to wait a while. I would use him again.

    ANIMAL HOSPITAL OF QUEENS BLVD
We began taking our cat to this vet because it's closest to our home and has a Long Island branch that is open 24/7 for real emergencies. We have kept coming back because no matter which vet we see, they take such excellent care of both kitty and her parents! They offer low-cost solutions before turning to expensive medications; for example, a soak in an Epsom salt solution combined with an inexpensive anti-fungal cured a problem with our cat's claws. The fees for checkups and check-in visits are completely reasonable, and they take all credit cards, so it's very convenient. The staff is extremely caring--the assistant who answers the phone, the vets' assistants and the vets themselves are all knowledgeable, kind and engaged. Finally, they are willing to spend time answering any question a concerned pet owner can think of, so we leave feeling relieved and never rushed. Somehow, though, it never seems like they have a long line of patients waiting! This place is a true gem.
