Woodworking reviews in Briarcliff Manor

Flavio is meticulous and has very high standards for himself and his work. He was always responsive, came on time to quote projects and provided a quick proposal. He is a professional carpenter that takes every detail into account. He didn't mind my input (compared to other contractors who take fast offense at any question or suggestion). He cleans up afterwards leaving the space the same or better than it was beforehand. But most importantly the outcome of his work - butchblock counter cut tightly around obstacles and counter installation in an imperfect room - was high quality. Finally, he is kind and pleasant and a patient problem-solver. I would definitely hire him again.

The concrete work was the first work started. They began doing the front of my house to prevent water seeping in and the side of the house to cover stonework. Before either finishing the concrete work or the painting, they began to remove the roofing material on my porch. I asked them to finish the other work first, but was told the roof was more important. Midway through the roofing job, Mr. Betton came to me to renegotiate the price of everything. I wouldn't agree to being highjacked midway through the work, so he packed up and left. When I demanded return of most of the money I had given him, since none of the work was completed, he sent me $500 and said he had earned the rest of the $3,000 I had paid. I have attached photos of his work, showing where it hasn't been finished, and unfortunately, where it had been done, it is already cracking after one month.

Great work. Professional and courteous. Update: Beware, several months after installation. Faucet became loose, and the company was unresponsive to my attempts to reach them to have them fix this. They have not gotten back to me over 4 months.

Master toolmakers of old put their initials on the tools they made because they were proud of their work product, a rare trait in today's world. Nevertheless, we found a modern day version of the Master Craftsman, Gary West of Colgar Enterprises.
Gary recently completed work on a tricky renovation of a second bathroom. Our opinion of his work and of the person himself is simple: a gentleman, an expert at his craft, a contractor who is actually on time and leaves the work site spotless, and, just as important, his fee was more than reasonable and certainly competitive.
Without reservation, Gary is a five-star contractor who, with or without initials, met our every expectation.

The guy who came to do the baseboard and casing did not measure carefully and apparently did not have the proper carpentry tools to do the job neatly. When he finished it was far below professional quality. This despite clear instructions to the northern Westchester franchise owner at the time of the hire, that my expectations were to have carpentry performed by a highly detailed and professional person. I fired the worker due to poor quality work and and the other man who came to finish it only completed what was incomplete, but did not redo what was done poorly. The terrace wall slats were popping off within days of being installed. They were also removed and redone by the second worker however 18 months later, they are now falling off.

i got over 3 estimates from different companies. Ken Sanford seemed more reliable and was spot on when it came to identifying all the things that needed to be fixed prior to painting. The above cost includes all the cost of materials as well as the carpentry work that was performed. I am very pleased by the overall quality of workmanship, professionalism of the workers. The project proceeded Ina timely fashion. Alex was the project manager assigned to me. He showed up every single day to oversee the work and address any problems or concerns. Carlos was the foreman who was working on the project to ensure the other workers were doing a good job. They even took care of a few things that weren't specified in the contract. Didn't charge me extra for them. I would certainly use their services again , and be happy to recommend them to my friends.

I picked Flavio from all of his great reviews on Angies list.  Every positive review is true.   I highly recommend him.

He came to our house saw were were in a bind and made time to help us and complete the work that needed to be done in order to finish our Kitchen install.  Not only did he do all the work in a timely manner, they left the job site clean, had great suggestions, fixed imperfections left by the old contractor and most importantly  Falvio and his team are genuinely good people you can trust.

I have already scheduled him for another job and anytime I need work done on the house I will call him.

I'm posting this now, belatedly, because I got a pop-up message from Angie's List asking for feedback on a few service providers I had searched on over the past year.  Alan showed up promptly when he said he would, walked around the house, took notes and gave me a fair estimate.  The only reason I didn't use Westside is that the other contractor that had done a poor job on the repairs two years prior agreed to redo the work for me for only the cost of materials.  I emailed Westside and thanked them, and said that I would certainly consider using them when needed in the future.

Gus and his crew did an excellent job. He is a master carpenter. His work was done on time with excellent quality. He came by after the project was all done to make sure we were happy with the work. He made suggestions as we went along that were very useful. His people cleaned up before they left every day. They did not rush the job which had to be delayed due to heavy rains a few times.

Steve and his crew were extremely professional, always came on time, cleaned up after themselves, and did some excellent work.  Steve made sure that everything was to my satisfaction, and even came back after the job to walk through and show me everything that was completed.  I would definitely use him in the future, and will recommend him to friends/family.
