They are about 45 minutes away. With me it's worth the ride because I have been using Dr. Ullmann for a very long time and so I continue to go there. So far out of my way, there are many number of veterinarian hospitals within a stone throw of my home but I go over there because know what kind of Vet she is. I would highly recommend her as well.

    LADY & THE TRAMP
Excellent! We used L and T before for 2 Maine C*** Cats. The long-haired breeds are prone to matting and tangling, so we keep them clean and trimmed with visits to L and T. Competent, efficient, friendly and good with the animals. We'll certainly continue to bring our cat there (57 North Ocean Avenue, Patchogue, NY 11772).

    Clean As A Whisker
I've been trying several places for the past couple years for my 2 yorkies because I wasn't completely satisfied with anyone.  I found this place on angie's list and seeing that it had a decent rating, decided to give them a try.  I am so glad I did!!  I have never seen my pup look this cute in a long time!!  They did EXACTLY what I asked them to do, going above and beyond!  In addition, they had brought to my attention the fact that my yorkie may have an ear infection, so they took extra care in flushing her ears out.  And the bow they put in her hair was soo cute!  I am more than satisfied and will be taking my other male yorkie there for a grooming relatively soon.

    ELITE ANIMAL TRAINERS-AMRC
we got a cute little maltipoo from an animal shelter in April 2010. He was about 2 years old. The shelter had no information on him other than they found him. We had another dog at home, and we wanted her to have a playmate. At first everything was fine, but after about 3 weeks he displayed very aggressive tendencies, and bit us both very badly. We loved him and didnt want to put him down, which we knew he would have been had we brought him back. We began working with a trainer, and things got a bit better, but not good enough and he was still biting. The trainer recommended a behaviorist, which we were on our own to find. I looked on line, interviewed a few, none of them gave me a good feeling that my dog wouldnt be abused. The we called Jeff. Jeff came over, and spent 2 hours talking with us before even meeting the dog. Once he did, he took him for a walk, and I saw him afterwards sitting in the driveway talking to my dog, Ozzie.  He gave us several recommendations, and told us he was afraid of most things, and was probably abused. We brought Ozzie over to his place where he stayed for a week with them, training and learning, as they also learned about him. We went to pick up Ozzie, where we then had a lesson. We brought Ozzie to Jeff once a week for 3 weeks, then Jeff came back to us for a few weeks. The process was long, but the situation was defintely improving. We left Ozzie with jeff when we went away, and from here on in we will only leave him there. It is the only place I feel safe with him right now, and feel safe that they will be able to handle him. The training continues to this day, and Jeff was very honest that it would take a minimum of 6 months to break any bad habits. Things are getting better each day, and if it weren't for Jeff I hate to think of what would have happened to my little boy. Jeff deals with some very bad cases, trains police dogs, and works on a lot of legal cases where the dog is ready about to be put down. Jeff is also known as the "NY dog whisperer", and he truly is. Thank You on behalf both of us,, and of course, Ozzie thanks you too!

We've known Dr. Ullmann for many years, and we know her to be an excellent veterinarian. At present we're "down" to 4 Labradors and no cats, so our visits aren't as frequent as they were in the past, but the fact that we travel about 45 minutes each way to see Dr. Ullmann reflects our regard for her. Veterinary costs, like medical costs, are fairly high, but the quality of care our dogs receive is the most important thing. The clinic staff is composed of veteran animal lovers. Our highest recommendation for VCEN!
