    Raskin, Dr. Brian M.
It went wonderful. It was a one time, an emergency. They really could have gone home because it was in the middle of a snow blizzard here. I woke up early in the morning, I started having this pain and my dentist in Long Island was taking care of my tooth but he said he can’t make it and I have to look for somebody upstate New York.  Dr. Raskin took me in. It’s a very nice office, very nice doctor and the staff is very nice. I’m very grateful that they took me in that day because it was a horrible day to drive. They got me out of pain right away. I would highly recommend them to anybody.

    Dentistry by Dr. Kaplansky, PLLC
I initially went to Dr. Kaplansky because I was having moderate to severe pain in my wisdom tooth. I had had one wisdom tooth pulled previously by a different dentist and had a horrible experience. Needless to say I was very apprehensive about any type of dental procedure. The staff was very friendly and the office was very comfortable. Because I hadn't been to the dentist in some time we first did x-rays and a oral exam. Then Dr. Kaplansky came in. He was very personable and made me feel at ease. He explained that 2 of my wisdom teeth were through the gums and needed to be extracted. Then a billing specialist came in and explained to me exactly what my insurance would cover and how much the procedure would be out of pocket. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't going to cost an arm and a leg. Dr. Kaplansky then told me that because I was in pain he could do the extractions right then, if I wanted him to. Despite my original apprehension him and his entire staff had made me feel at ease and I wanted to be out of pain in the worst way so I told him to go ahead. He numbed my mouth very well, a huge relief to me because I didn't want to feel anything. And quickly extracted both my wisdom teeth. It was so quick and pain free that when he said he was all finished my response was "Really?" I went back to the office a few more times for routine cleanings and a few more fillings that I had put off and I continue to go for my routine cleanings. This is by far the best dentist office I have ever been to.

    Polgar, Dr. Richard L.
I have used Dr Polgar as my primary dentist for over 20 years. About 6 years ago medication I was taking weakened my teeth. I had a lot of areas of decay on my front teeth. He did the work to restore my smile and self-esteem. Even after several visits within a two week span I could still say the procedures were almost pain-free. He has performed fillings, extractions, and a root canal on my teeth. He is always accomodating when an emergency arises, such as my daughter's chipped tooth. He has a very caring and friendly bedside manner. The staff are always welcoming and helpful. Dr Polgar is very knowledgeable in his field. He is always furthering his education and keeping up to date on the latest treatments available. I always come away feeling like I have received the best care available. For insurance reasons I have tried other dentists, but I have never had the same results. I would rather pay all of the cost out-of-pocket than go to another dentist.

    Steinfeld, Dr. William L.
We are always able to schedule in advance for regular appointments, and have never had any problems (plus, they always call to remind/confirm appointments) - and they are also flexible about switching an appointment if you need to, and they always get patients in right away if needed for any emergency work.

    DANSVILLE DENTAL PROFESSIONAL
I had then gone back to have Dr. Krolczyk also do crowns and an emergency root canal; due to the temporary crown was glued so well. The work was done over several visits, but nothing was done for the two front teeth. I had inquired via in person, and a phone call to the office as to when the two front teeth were going to be repaired. I was told that there was NOTHING given to the front desk regarding the repairs. You would think that Dr. Krolczyk would have that in the notes, which would be given to the front. Instead I had to go to the reunion WITHOUT the teeth being repaired. And, while we went to this special occasion, out of state, Katy from the office left us a message. I called her back, and since they had a new phone system, a note would be given to her. This was back on 10/20. She never called back. If possible I would give them a B- rating from myself. Especially, since not having insurance, being a Vet. There is no discount. They do take charge cards. But, once in a great while you will get a discount if you pay cash or a check.

    Jeffrey Cohen DDS
Having a train wreck of dental problems and no money, I approached the good doctor with a barter arrangement: I, as a house painter, would paint some areas of his newly bought house in trade for some work (root canals, crowns, and, if possible, an implant). I knew this stuff wasn't cheap anywhere, but he wanted a good amount of work done (about $4,000), so I thought we would work something out. I also approached him in the Winter when work is slow for me and I could afford to work without getting paid since I had no paying jobs. He waited until spring for me to start the work, when I had jobs I could have been making money at were available. What I should have done was to ask upfront how much he charges. ( For example, he gets $200 for a routine cleaning). After changing his mind repeatedly about work that he wanted to get done, including while work was already in progress, he complained that he couldn't afford to get $4000 of my work completed, so it was eventually knocked down to about $2,000, which took me a little over 2 weeks to finish. After my work was finished, I went to his office. The initial cleaning and first visit cost something like $200 or more. We then scheduled for a root canal. First off, he runs a fairly large office and is flitting from chair to chair. When he finally got to me, I had been waiting over 25 minutes after the local had kicked in. The actual experience was one of the most painful dental journeys I have ever been on. The locals he gave me weren't working, and my legs and arms were constantly shooting out as spasms of pain ripped from my poor mouth. Tears were literally streaming down my eyes. At no time did either the doctor or his very cold assistant ask me if I was OK. Afterwards, she said something really stupid like, "there, that wasn't so bad, was it"? I looked at her and asked if she didn't notice the pain I was in, to which she replied "you should have lifted your arm up to let me know you were in pain" ! The real pain came afterwards when I went to settle up. I was being billed (or the money was being taken from my bartering arangement) for $1700 without completing even one tooth! In addition, the good doctor hadn't notified his staff of our arrangement, and I had to pay $200 cash upfront for the first visit. So the approximately 3 hours I spent in his chair was apparently equal to him for the 90 hours I spent working on his house, plus the fuel it cost me to drive there and everything else. Ironically, he calls his practice "Gentle Dentistry"
