Dr. Linda Kleinhenz- Eye Care For You
I made an appointment with Dr. Linda Kleinhenz on a whim.  (I had just walked out of another Optometrist- East Fishkill Eye Association, don't go there. They are mercenary, in it strictly for the money, not for patient care.)  I had gone to East Fishkill Eye Assoc. for a routine annual eye exam and to ask about hard contact lenses. Dr's Deborah Roodner and Vicki Chenarides told me they didn't think hard lenses were an option because of the LASIK, but would seek someone who would know better (gee, I could do that myself). Then they proceeded to fit me with soft lenses that were completely inadequate, if not dangerous.  I couldn't make out street signs, etc. I actually went home and put in my old contact lenses. Obviously I didn't go back to East Fishkill Eye Associates.I made an appointment with Dr. Linda Kleinhenz with little optimism, but I don't give up easily. I told her I had LASIK surgery and I was not satisfied with the erratic vision of soft contacts. I told her that I wanted hard lenses. Dr. Linda basically said,"No problem."  That is the short of a longer story. Suffice it to say that Dr. Linda fitted me with hard lenses after just three visits. I CAN SEE AGAIN !!!  I have not had such vision clarity in years!  Keep in mind that for years I've been told that hard contacts were not an option. For me, this is a small miracle. She has changed my life, or at least my point of view! For you, Dr. Linda is a professional, friendly and knowledgable Optometrist.  She always has a pleasant demeanor.  Her office is never over-booked, so no long waits.  Her assistant, Lorraine, is wonderful.  She truly cares about you. Recently I made an appointment for glasses.  Lorraine helped me pick the right pair and she wouldn't give up until we found the right one.  I mean, we were there for about an hour!!  I loved the attention.  It didn't feel like they just wanted to give me any pair of glasses and out the door you go.I am fortunate to have found Dr. Linda's office and I wanted to share my good fortune with you.  If you're looking for assembly line Optometry, go to Lens Crafters.  If you want good old fashion family care and individual attention from your eye doctor, to to Dr. Linda.

What happened glasses broke right on the bridge of the nose, snapped right in half. I am blind without them, can't see a foot in front of my face. So I had no choice but to "jury-rig" them back together with a little wire and some tape. They looked ridiculous. I have no insurance so I did some intense research and none of the chain vision centers where able to give me a deal (other than the bogus "buy one get one free" which requires an eye exam and at least $300). So I reluctantly go in to see this guy at Value Vision, he helped me choose these incredible frames, measured my old lenses, no exam required, and had them done in 3 days. The 3 days was only because he had to order my special lenses, I'm sure that more common prescriptions could be done same-day. He took a small deposit, and I paid the rest when I went to go pick them up.
