Very organized. Radiologist caught something very small - he came in and examined me after the ultrasound and did it again himself. He gave me his findings on my imaging and ultrasound on the spot, and his recommendations for follow up. No waiting. Actually speaking to the person interpreting my films and images? It's never happened to me before. Overall this is the only group in Dutchess with consistent quality care across disciplines, with Dr.s who are aware they are speaking to human beings with minds and feelings. I've yet to be condescended to by any of the four doctors I've seen in the group, all in different specialties and in three different locations. Don't go anywhere else!

    Sims, Dr. Lewis J.
He is a very good podiatrist. He is very friendly. Most of the other doctors in the area have a very high opinion of him. I've always got excellent service from him. He is a good man and I have no complaints about him.

Dr. Wertheim is excellent: knowledgeable, decisive, attentive to my questions, and able to explain everything to my satisfaction. Really everything you could want, especially in an oncologist.
I arrived at her door after developing a huge ovarian cyst and an enlarged fallopian tube. However after examining the ultrasound report from another Dr. - and learning that I had had a uterine infection after an endometrial ablation three months before - she quickly concluded that the condition of my ovary and fallopian tube had everything to do with that infection, and nothing to do with cancer.
In spite of this, the ovary and fallopian tube needed to come out, so a hysterectomy was recommended. She told me that she would be "shocked" if I had cancer (and she was right!), which greatly reduced my anxiety prior to receiving the pathology report post-surgery.
She was very conservative, however, and stressed that she intended to keep my good ovary to avoid early menopause and the less-optimal scenario of hormone replacement over the "real thing." She took into account my chronic depression, too, saying that in my case, it was more important than ever to keep at least one ovary, because the effects on depression with hormone replacement were unpredictable/dangerous to mental health. In essence: she actually read my whole chart and took into account how her work - the hysterectomy - would affect my health as a whole. Now truly, in today's age of referrals and seeing new doctors at the drop of a hat: how many physicians actually do this? Not many in my book. She is a wonderful exception to this.
I had a "robotically-assisted laproscopic hysterectomy" at Northern Westchester Hospital performed by Dr. Wertheim. She got me into surgery within two weeks of my consult with her.
3 1/2 weeks post-op I feel like a million bucks! In the end, I'm left with one good ovary, and haven't felt a bit different hormonally/mentally since the surgery. Total success!
I would recommend her to anyone with complete confidence. I thank my lucky stars I found her.

The negative reviews really involve the coordination and communication between the office staff. The doctors are pretty good, especially Dr. Toni Saychek...however the office staff needs to get their act together. While they are friendly- many of them seem clueless, and in addition, if you try to fax paperwork from another doctor's office, it will 100% never be there when needed (unless you physically bring it in the office - or if you are pregnant and you fax it to one of the ob gyn nurses). I wouldn't fax to the regular number because they won't have it there and it's a mess to coordinate this - no one will be able to find your paperwork. It can be really frustrating
