Joe does amazing work! He did my entire kitchen and bathroom by himself several years ago and is still in perfect condition (no cracks or splits) today. He is very knowledgeable and careful with prep work and installation! Give Joe a call if you want the job done right the first time! You will not be dissapointed!

Home Improvements & Repairs by John Gasparro
When we decided to remodel our main bathroom we searched Angie's List to find a contractor. Based on the reviews for John Gasparro on his site, we called and made an appointment to meet with him. After spending some time with John, exchanging ideas, listening to his thoughts and proposals about the job etc, we knew that we had found our contractor. His price was fair and a contract was signed. We could not have made a better choice! Because John only works one job at a time he and his helper were on site every day Monday thru Friday 9-5 and sometimes later. John was involved in every aspect of the job.....plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, tile work etc. He explained things as he moved along so that we always knew what he was doing or about to do. His experience with construction and design was so valuable for us as he sometimes suggested changes or additions that we had never even thought of. John's work (and that of his helper) is first-rate and there was never any doubt that we would have a beautifully finished bathroom. One thing I need to mention is that John is one of the neatest workers we have ever had and his clean-up at the end of his day was so appreciated. Bottom line: we were so pleased with the results of the main bathroom that we also had John do additional changes to our half bath and laundry room! Overall, we couldn't be more pleased with John's designs and renovations to both of our bathrooms. Would I hire John again? Most definitely! Would I recommend him to others? Most definitely!

    AMV Interiors and Construction Inc
f you want the short story- put your mouse away, close the computer, stop the hours of research and reading reviews. Pick up your phone and call Alexs (845) 741-8607. This is the only company you will need for all of your new or old construction needs, at very reasonable rates. Keep in mind, AMV is in demand and you should schedule ASAP if going forward. Now for the long story- sit down grab a beer or cup of coffee. Meet the amazing crew: Aleks (the Magician), Mike (the Perfectionist), Benny (the Astounding Albanian) and Jerm (the Talking Bull). After calling AMV for an estimate, Aleks scheduled a next day appointment. Aleks shows up at our agreed time and this is where the best contractor experience I have ever had begins. We go over the scope of work I would like done. There is one task Aleks tells me up front, that he has never done before, and that is the knockdown texture on the ceiling. Rather than bringing in another contractor just for the ceiling, we agree to give it a try with the understanding if I do not like it, I will not be charged. Aleks points out the many mistakes I had in my design thoughts. We go over his suggestions, which I might add, were all beneficial up the line. There was no up selling, just great ideas. Two days later I receive an email with proposal, we make some changes, and agree on the price and start date. The magic transition begins on the start date agreed on. The van pulls into my driveway at 8:15 AM, just like it did every day going forward. Starting each morning with a handshake and hello, the day begins. For the most part, you can expect a full day of work each day. The exception would be if the crew has completed one task and there is no sense in starting a new task with time constraints. You will always see either Aleks or Mike with Benny or Jerm, or all 4 on any given day. The biggest take away here is that these guys do not cut corners and will do ANYTHING to make the job right, and you happy. Another worthy note to keep in mind is, along with quality work, AMV uses only top quality materials, right down to the screws and nails. I remember at one point, my wife and I were not sure of our choice of backsplash color that we had picked out. Aleks already had six square feet up on the wall. We told him we were not feeling our choice of color. His response was, “No problem, I can take it down now. I will start over with your new tile, don’t settle, you will be looking at it for a long time. You have to love it now.” If that wasn’t enough, the new tile we picked out that night at Lowes needed to be special ordered, with a two week delay. I called Aleks from Lowes, knowing he had his next job scheduled during that time period. His response was, “Get what you like and we can work it out.” I realize time is money and I caused him extra time. The only thing in his thought process was to make me happy. By the way, Aleks did his homework on the knockdown texture. He was relentless until he got it right. It looks great! I would like to touch on my comment, “plenty of extras.” Here are just two examples. The crew was constantly going up and down my basement stairs for supplies. While doing so, Aleks noticed that my stairs were shifting from the wall. He made me aware of the danger of collapsing. At some point, I go to use the stairs myself and bingo, the stairs are sturdy like new. The other example is, I had a charging cord for my cordless vac, going from my dining room outlet and wrapping around the wall and basement door jam, to the vac on the wall of the stairs. Next thing I know, I have an outlet on the wall of the stairs for direct connection to my vac. Tell me, what contractor does this without gouging you? I am convinced, you will not come across a more honest and helpful group of guys in the construction business. From what I’ve seen, they can do it all. You need to call AMV for your next job! The only thing left to say is that our dining room/kitchen looks more amazing than we ever dreamed of and the deck will last a hundred years. Thank you Guys, for an amazing job well done.

Home Improvements & Repairs by John Gasparro
We began the task of remodeling our kitchen while we lived out of state. We scheduled an appointment with John to look at our house and he arrived as scheduled. After seeing our kitchen, John redesigned the layout to provide us a very spacious, elegant kitchen that incorporated all the elements we wanted. John also took into consideration things we did not think of, showcasing his expertise in remodeling and home design. John considers not only the remodeling of the kitchen, but how any changes would affect the rest of our home. John completed most of this project while we were still out of state. During this time, John's communication with us was excellent. He would give us a schedule of when work was going to be completed and it was completed as he stated. Furthermore, because we were out of state, there was a certain level of trust that must occur because we could not physically be present. John did not disappoint us! He is a very honest and hardworking person which can be difficult to find. John communicated clearly to us when he began our kitchen remodel that he only takes one job at a time so that he can focus on the job and ensure that it is completed timely. I have to say, this is a bonus as a consumer because he focused only on our project and ensured timely completion. John worked Monday through Friday on our project and never missed a day. Any schedule changes were clearly communicated to us by John, in advance, so that we always knew when he would be working. John is a very kind and courteous person and was respectful of our home. John's attention to small details and quality craftsmanship made our kitchen the showcase of our home. I would definitely recommend John Gasparro and would use him again in the future.

Home Improvements & Repairs by John Gasparro
The project included structural renovation to two walls (1 removed and 1 widened); complete removal of the old kitchen (cabinets, backsplash, tile, plumbing, baseboard heating, electrical, etc.); hardwood floor removal; rewiring for appliance relocations and additions; new recessed lights; new plumbing; new electrical; new tile (backsplash and floor); new countertops; new appliances installed. You name it - done. ALL WORK WAS PERFORMED BY JOHN ALONE, except for times when a helper was required for heavy lifting and contracted granite installation. You would need to see his talent in action in order to truly appreciate the effort, detail and care that John put into the project. Anyone who just sees the finished product could never appreciate all of the rework that went into/behind the walls and floor to make this project work the way it did. John is driven by quality. We are extremely pleased with the quality and professionalism that John Gasparro provided us. He is a true Renovation Specialist that knows his business inside and out, and he's one of the few out there that's still willing to give you a fair price for a project. We already have John lined up for several other renovation projects, so that tells you how pleased we are with John's commitment to project quality and timeliness at a fair price.
