It was a pleasure working with Derek and his outstanding crew. Very professional, polite, and any questions we had were answered immediately. The bathroom was a complete gut and all issues with plumbing and electric were corrected. This company is the complete package. We had other estimates and none came close to the cost of this remodel. The time frame was right before Christmas and Derek promised the work would be done, and it was. The crew worked very hard putting in extra hours to make sure it was completed. We now have a beautiful bathroom! Thank you again for a job well done.

This was a great contractor experience. My initial phone call got a quick scheduling for an estimate. The estimate was fair, work was scheduled, the team arrived on-time and worked professionally - and I have now completed the final step of winterizing a small three season bungalow.
Kudos Foamco, you all know how to provide great service.

    Local Dad Repairs
I needed my attic gutted because the previous owner had installed drywall with no insulation behind it, also the basement carpet need to be removed to prepare for new flooring. I called Local Dad repairs and spoke to Terri, she was very helpful setting up an appointment with Jeff, the owner. He showed up on time and we went over all the projects I needed to get done. He gave me a lot of information about my house and the work he could do for me. Within a week I had a firm estimate and we agreed on a start date. The work started on time and finished early. Jeff got a building permit and met with the inspector for me. Everything was done to my satisfaction, the crew cleaned up both areas very well. I would like to thank Jeff, Terri and their crew for the outstanding work and I look forward to hiring them again.

Everything went smoothly aside from two small snags. The first electrician brought in, dragged his feet a little bit but once Jason Bell was brought in to replace him, everything electrical went quick and painlessly. The other snag was the bank releasing funds. Every time a payment was due it took longer than expected to go through. Aside from that, Derek answered every phone call, text message and email. He met with us around our schedules. His crew was great. Every one of them courteous, hardworking, and just all around nice guys. Derek worked within our budget and was completely honest with what we could afford and what we couldn't. The work that he and his crew accomplished in our home is beautiful. This house was a very large project to accomplish and remodeling concepts did it afficently. We could not be happier with our home.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE YOU CAN IMAGINE!  DO NOT USE FOAMCO!!!
The best we can figure is that they mixed the foam improperly because the resulting off-gassing through the walls and from
the smudges of foam throughout the apartments was so noxious that the two homes were left uninhabitable for three months.
It created a burning sensation on the throats of anyone who breathed it for more than a few minutes, and gave one of us a headache who was in there without a mask for 30 minutes.  They also spilled the mixture in the parking lot, which also had to be remediated because of the same overpowering smell, even outdoors.  Sounds bad, right?  That?s just the tip of the iceberg.
We let Foamco know about the problem as soon as we realized what was happening, seeking their support and guidance.  They said they?d send someone to check it out.  Nobody came.  We called again.  They said they?d have the appropriate person call us.  Nobody did.  Then they just stopped returning our calls and e-mails.
We kept Foamco updated and practically pleaded with them to call us or visit.  They never did.  So we had to figure out the whole remediation process by ourselves.
The cost to us of remediating the problem was over $3,000, plus three months of lost rent, plus over 45 documented hours of our time doing the remediation work, not to mention all the time trying to deal with FoamCo.  Plus we still don?t even know if the foam in there is safe or if it?s even doing the insulation job it was supposed to.  But the only other option would be to open the walls and completely remove all of it, a nightmare we cannot afford to face so we?re just leaving it.  One of the two families refused to move back in and moved somewhere else instead because of health concerns about the off-gassing.
The following is an excerpt from one of many e-mails we sent them, which is documented as part of our complaint to the Better Business Bureau (which appears as ?resolved,? a pretty but deceptive word that simply means we do not have the time or money to fight FoamCo further).
11/8/2012: ?We've been appalled at the total lack of support or even communication from you all.  I don't know what the thinking was over there, but the silence has spoken volumes.  We were blown away at first by you all doing nothing to help us with this situation, not even offering suggestions from a distance, and then were blown away that there was zero interest from you in learning how we dealt with it so you would be better prepared if/when this kind of situation arises again.
?I hate to think of the consequences of this kind of situation for someone who doesn't have the in-house competence and confidence we have to deal with such a noxious and unhealthy environment, and can only pray that you wouldn't have completely neglected them the way you have us.  We hope you will seriously consider creating a plan for how you can respond with integrity to this kind of situation if/when it happens again in the future.
?As it is, we continue to hope that you will inform us if you have any insight into the potential health impact of our continuing to live here with whatever is behind our walls."
They seemed great all through the estimate process and setting up dates.  From there it was a disaster.  If you want to have foam installed, DO NOT USE FOAMCO, and make sure you talk with the installers about what their commitment is to working with you if something goes wrong.

I cannot say enough about this experience!  They came quickly for the quote, and it was free.  The sales rep was on time.  He was respectful.  The price was very fair (in particular, because we were a small job:  rather than charge us an exorbitant "minimum" fee, their only caveat was that they would have to schedule us when they were in our area for a larger job.  How fair, for a change!  I readily agreed, and within two weeks, we were luckily scheduled.  I just want to be treated fairly, and this felt really reasonable, a win-win for both sides).

They also *insisted* we sign a contract (I actually crave detailed contracts, and they are *hard* to come by!  This company had no fear, this is what we are going to do, for this price, end of story), which is to the advantage of both parties. I feel so confident when a company takes this stance - they have nothing to hide!

The quote was prompt.  The scheduling was prompt (they actually have a different person for each, and they all knew what they were doing - wuh).  The actual technicians/workpeople arrived on time, were efficient, respectful, and did a really nice, thorough job (no gaps, that I can see). I never thought I could be so excited about insulation! - lol - but this was a completely positive experience!

I got a receipt the day the workers left, I got a paid invoice after my final payment (20% down).  I know I am waxing poetic, but REALLY.  This is SO RARE today! (and why we need Angie's List in the first place).  I plan on hiring them back again to do more work as we are able.

According to my research, this price is very fair for a superior product like Icynene.  I found them through the Icynene website.  Assuming this is within your budget, hire without question.  A++ experience.

They were quick to respond to our call for a visit and estimate.  They moved the project right along.

The house doesn't get as hot in scorching summer days and I have to believe we're saving on air conditioning now and will save even bigger in heating season.  One accident where a slipping foot dented the ceiling, but they even called back to assure us they'll patch it up.

They were very reasonably-priced. They completed a big job in just one day and were clean and neat. The building inspector even said that it was a fantastic job.
