    Miller, Dr. Kole
I’ve been going to him for 7 or 8 years. I keep going back to him because of his good service and have friendly people. They are always very friendly and very helpful. They do a thorough job and they know what they are doing.

    Beacon Dental
Cleaning went well.  After the cleaning I was told that I needed scaling and root planing because the pockets on some teeth were now measuring 4 or 5 - much worse than my last visit 6 months ago.  I was told that I had bone loss and could eventually lose my teeth - all this without a complete set of xrays being taken.  They wanted me to pay a deposit for this treatment on the spot.  I refused.  I have been going to Beacon Dental for about 3 years.  Before that I had gone to a dentist in NYC for about 20 years.  I have had occasional cavities.  At Beacon Dental, I was told so many times that I needed several fillings and was also nagged into having a fluoride treatment that I didn't want or need.  I began to wonder if the fillings were necessary.  Two days after my cleaning I went to another Dentist for a second opinion (Jonathan Kim in Fishkill).  He took a full set of x-rays and said that I did not need scaling and root planing, my bone loss was minor and my gums were fine.  I will not be going back to Beacon Dental ever again.

Very organized. Radiologist caught something very small - he came in and examined me after the ultrasound and did it again himself. He gave me his findings on my imaging and ultrasound on the spot, and his recommendations for follow up. No waiting. Actually speaking to the person interpreting my films and images? It's never happened to me before. Overall this is the only group in Dutchess with consistent quality care across disciplines, with Dr.s who are aware they are speaking to human beings with minds and feelings. I've yet to be condescended to by any of the four doctors I've seen in the group, all in different specialties and in three different locations. Don't go anywhere else!

They have a full workout gym, several gyms and they have a huge wait room. They have basketball facilities, handball facilities and indoor pool in the summer time and outdoor water area. They have a separate woman's gym with it's own room which I like. They have a lot of classes which I don't take advantage of that but they have a lot of classes which are extra money but some of which are included in the membership. It's a really nice place.

    Sims, Dr. Lewis J.
He is a very good podiatrist. He is very friendly. Most of the other doctors in the area have a very high opinion of him. I've always got excellent service from him. He is a good man and I have no complaints about him.

Dr. Wertheim is excellent: knowledgeable, decisive, attentive to my questions, and able to explain everything to my satisfaction. Really everything you could want, especially in an oncologist.
I arrived at her door after developing a huge ovarian cyst and an enlarged fallopian tube. However after examining the ultrasound report from another Dr. - and learning that I had had a uterine infection after an endometrial ablation three months before - she quickly concluded that the condition of my ovary and fallopian tube had everything to do with that infection, and nothing to do with cancer.
In spite of this, the ovary and fallopian tube needed to come out, so a hysterectomy was recommended. She told me that she would be "shocked" if I had cancer (and she was right!), which greatly reduced my anxiety prior to receiving the pathology report post-surgery.
She was very conservative, however, and stressed that she intended to keep my good ovary to avoid early menopause and the less-optimal scenario of hormone replacement over the "real thing." She took into account my chronic depression, too, saying that in my case, it was more important than ever to keep at least one ovary, because the effects on depression with hormone replacement were unpredictable/dangerous to mental health. In essence: she actually read my whole chart and took into account how her work - the hysterectomy - would affect my health as a whole. Now truly, in today's age of referrals and seeing new doctors at the drop of a hat: how many physicians actually do this? Not many in my book. She is a wonderful exception to this.
I had a "robotically-assisted laproscopic hysterectomy" at Northern Westchester Hospital performed by Dr. Wertheim. She got me into surgery within two weeks of my consult with her.
3 1/2 weeks post-op I feel like a million bucks! In the end, I'm left with one good ovary, and haven't felt a bit different hormonally/mentally since the surgery. Total success!
I would recommend her to anyone with complete confidence. I thank my lucky stars I found her.

    Gold's Gym - Fishkill
When I moved up to this area, I joined Gold's Gym for convenience purposes. It has pretty much everything you need, machines, classes, cardio etc. I never really had to weight for a cardio machine, but sometimes I did have to wait for the weight machines. It really depends on what time you go. I used to go right after work, around 7 or 8.
I never really saw staff around, so can't comment that they are around cleaning or doing helping ppl around the floor. I think the gym was overall relatively clean, and they have spray down areas for you to wipe the machines down after use.
I decided to quit the gym though, as it was getting a bit pricey- and I was not going enough.
I do use their tanning facilities on occasion still. They do have a few different level of beds. I think it's pretty clean - but also pretty pricey. I haven't really found any cheaper ones in the area, that are of the same cleanliness level. Sometimes a wait for the beds- it's a better deal if you buy the packages..and of course if you are still a student.

The negative reviews really involve the coordination and communication between the office staff. The doctors are pretty good, especially Dr. Toni Saychek...however the office staff needs to get their act together. While they are friendly- many of them seem clueless, and in addition, if you try to fax paperwork from another doctor's office, it will 100% never be there when needed (unless you physically bring it in the office - or if you are pregnant and you fax it to one of the ob gyn nurses). I wouldn't fax to the regular number because they won't have it there and it's a mess to coordinate this - no one will be able to find your paperwork. It can be really frustrating

    Finewood, Dr. Richard
I received treatment from Dr. Finewood after an auto accident. He was firm and precise in his treatment, not hurtful but very effective in relieving pain quickly. I was fully functional and had little pain after a few sessions. He explained my problem in a language I easily understood. He is pleasant and easy going. I will use him again.

    Jules Vision Center
I had an appointment with Optometrist Paul Collins but was seen by Howard Tucher, who was filling in for Dr. Colllins. Dr. Tuchman was extremely thorough and meticulous, beyond what I have come to expend from an optometrist. I have a rather challenging prescription, and to get the clearest and most comfortable prescription possible, he used and quot;old-schooland quot; eyeglasses, which hold multiple lenses, to arrive at a clear and comfortable prescription. I was pleased and impressed.
The staff were polite and efficient, and I was not kept waiting long. I would return to this vision store.
