Somers Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Group
I have been a repeat patient of Somers Orthopaedic for almost 12 years both for several surgeries and pain management. In my opinion, based on my experience, they have the best doctors in the area and treat the patient like a person, not an account. All areas of their practice are commendable.

My husband has thankfully made a full recovery and is doing well. Dr. Rahmen and his office staff and the other doctors he is associated with have been wonderful.

    Zoha, Dr. Zubair
I was seen immedialtely, booked quickly, and taken care of wonderfully. I asked to have laparoscopy if possible but given abnormal anatomy and residual infection it had to be an open procedure. I am an operating room nurse so I know what I speak of. I've done hundreds of gallbladders in the last 42 years so when I recommend this doctor I'm saying as a professional that he is good. Today is 11/9 and the incision is healing well, I am feeling good, and the pain is just discomfort.

    Wing, Dr, James A.
I was impressed from the moment I walked into Dr. Wing's office for my first visit. His staff was friendly, professional and efficient. I was checked in immediately and within five minutes was seated in an exam room. Five minutes later, Dr. Wing walked in and went over my chart with me and it was determined that I needed surgery. He was very professional, but yet very approachable and readily answered all my questions and put me at ease. I scheduled a pre-surgery exam on the way out of the office, which would be my second interaction with him. During that pre-surgery appointment, Dr. Wing administered the most thorough medical exam I have ever experienced by any doctor. I never felt rushed and he once again answered all my questions. I next saw him prior to surgery when he dropped by to say hello and entertain any other questions or concerns I might have before entering the operating room. Every person I encountered, from hospital admin staff to medical personnel had nothing but the highest regard for him, which made me feel I was in very good hands. Due to extensive adhesions from the prior abdominal operations, my hernia surgery ended up being a little more involved than we had hoped for and I ended up in the hospital for three days. The first night was rough and the nurses had to call Dr. Wing at 3:00 in the morning. He dropped by first thing the next morning to check on me and went over everything that had occurred during surgery and was very concerned that I was comfortable. During my three days there, he checked in on me several times. I must say he has a terrific bedside manner. Once I was released, he also called me at home to see how things were going. I then saw him for follow-up a week or two after surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Wing to anyone requiring surgery. I do not think you could find a better physician.

They were very thorough and efficient. They really did a great job. I feel comfortable with their procedures and recommendations. They were very good. I feel confident with whatever they say.

    Theodora Budnik MD
She is open minded in regards to her willingness to discuss alternative options. She is also conservative when it comes to surgery. She is also very well informed.

    St Francis Hospital
same day surgery-after surgery i was supposed to have ice on/off for 20 minute intervals.  When I cane out of surgery they taped a bag of ice over my incision.  No one asked me if I had urinated, if I could walk around or if I could eat.  Finally I asked some to remove this bag of warm water and they did.  There was nursing station that stretched the length of the room, and all the nurses sat at the far end of the station chatting.  I finally said I want to go home and they said sure, we'll call your ride.  I figured I had a better chance of feeling better at home than at Mid Hudson Regional Medical Center. The only person who I can say something positive about is the anesthesia person. I have had same day procedures at St Francis in the past and the experiences were great.  Since it became Mid Hudson Regional Medical Center the place is awful.
