This is a family run operation. They are very friendly and responsive. They are considerably less expensive than the other services in the area. The floors are beautiful. They did a great job. I have already recommended them for three jobs; one is a business.

It was a pleasure working with Derek and his outstanding crew. Very professional, polite, and any questions we had were answered immediately. The bathroom was a complete gut and all issues with plumbing and electric were corrected. This company is the complete package. We had other estimates and none came close to the cost of this remodel. The time frame was right before Christmas and Derek promised the work would be done, and it was. The crew worked very hard putting in extra hours to make sure it was completed. We now have a beautiful bathroom! Thank you again for a job well done.

    Local Dad Repairs
I needed my attic gutted because the previous owner had installed drywall with no insulation behind it, also the basement carpet need to be removed to prepare for new flooring. I called Local Dad repairs and spoke to Terri, she was very helpful setting up an appointment with Jeff, the owner. He showed up on time and we went over all the projects I needed to get done. He gave me a lot of information about my house and the work he could do for me. Within a week I had a firm estimate and we agreed on a start date. The work started on time and finished early. Jeff got a building permit and met with the inspector for me. Everything was done to my satisfaction, the crew cleaned up both areas very well. I would like to thank Jeff, Terri and their crew for the outstanding work and I look forward to hiring them again.

It went Amazing! Ayren and his crew were polite, clean, punctual and on budget. This was a messy job that lasted several months but they left me with a clean house at the end of every work day. I could not be happier with the results and get compliments all the time. They paid attention to detail and did not leave until the job was done.

Everything went smoothly aside from two small snags. The first electrician brought in, dragged his feet a little bit but once Jason Bell was brought in to replace him, everything electrical went quick and painlessly. The other snag was the bank releasing funds. Every time a payment was due it took longer than expected to go through. Aside from that, Derek answered every phone call, text message and email. He met with us around our schedules. His crew was great. Every one of them courteous, hardworking, and just all around nice guys. Derek worked within our budget and was completely honest with what we could afford and what we couldn't. The work that he and his crew accomplished in our home is beautiful. This house was a very large project to accomplish and remodeling concepts did it afficently. We could not be happier with our home.

    Strictly Hardwood
They operated as a good team of qualified workers and did all that was specified well. An old wall had long since been removed (to turn two rooms into one) and the flooring gap filled with a utility board that left a dip you could feel under the rug. We ditched the rug and found a good floor that we wanted to restore, but needed to fill the gap smoothly and with matching wood.
Strictly Hardwood came in at this point, and did a neat job piecing in the oak, fixing some gaps around the edge and cleaning up a closet floor, and proceeded to sand and poly that entire floor back to fine condition.
They removed a stained area in the kitchen and refinished that as well. Notable that they got into the corners and under radiators for a well-detailed job.
Overall, a very competent crew and nice to work with.

Mike and his crew refinished our hardwood floors in our 1931 home.  The floors were quite a mess and had never been, I believe, refinished.  He refinished two bedrooms and the living room (around 600 square feet).  He charged $2/square foot for the refinishing.  We also had the floor stained a darker color and he pulled out and replaced the wood in the floor in one spot by the bathroom where it had warped due to water damage.  They did really amazing work and worked within our schedule.  It looks like a new floor!

It started out lovely. Ron came every day, had a great attitude, and was making good progress. After a few weeks, that changed rapidly. He stopped coming every day, stopped coming on time, and started arguments with us several times regarding things he accused us of changing, though they were things that he had not written down correctly during the bidding process, so he was confusing himself. Also, we had not set a payment schedule, so assumed that we would keep with as the large deposit upfront (which we paid) and the rest upon completion. That wasn't the case. Ron demanded a check once a week, and when we expressed our discomfort in paying him more money than visible progress, he got very upset and laid on the guilt trip, explaining that he could A)not pay his mortgage unless we paid him, or B) could not do another stitch of work or buy another supply unless we gave him a check right then and there. It was very uncomfortable, but we're too nice to let him go without "paying his mortgage." We learned a valuable lesson in that regard, though. It was clear that Ron had other jobs to get to, so he stopped coming altogether after a certain point. Our job was unfinished, and he had a lot more of our money in his pocket than work completed. He promised he would be back in a week, then a few days later, after many phone calls from us, promised the next week, then the day before he was to return, he called and said one more week. I expressed great concern to him, to no avail. Ron returned that following week, but clearly had a large chip on his shoulder. He walked in so I could show him where the materials were to do the main project for that day, and as I was explaining it, his face turned red and puffed up, I swear I could see smoke coming out of his ears and nose, and he looked at me with disdain, and called me a liar. He said I had never told him those things, that I kept changing things on him. Nothing was changed. I explained this project to him, very clearly, with my husband, in the bidding process. He clearly wrote it down wrong. But I didn't want someone with that sort of attitude working on that project, so I told him to forget it, let's move on to finishing the sunroom. Throughout his progress in the sunroom, he broke one of our windows completely. Feeling bad for him and his apparent money troubles, we told him we would pay for the window at the agreed price of $10-20. But that last day, he demanded I give him $40 right then and there to cover the window. I asked for a receipt, since the price had changed, and that send him over the edge. He completely lost it, accused me of not trusting him, of lying to him, and many other expletives. It was a Ron I had never seen before. I let him go, because I felt very threatened and uncomfortable with him being in our house. He later left a threatening VM on my husband's cell phone saying, "DO NOT ANNOY ME, I DON'T WANT THIS TO GET UGLY."

Great, they were able to salvage some wood that was covered by heavy bricks and concrete for a long time. The floors came out great!!
