    Master Attic,LLC
I have had a great experience with the services from Master Attic! I contacted the company, for an insulation installation service for my attic. Robert, and his team, were punctual and professional. They came on time, gave a brief consultation after reviewing the space, and completed the work in a timely matter. Not only did they install the insulation in to my attic efficiently, but they also cleaned and sanitized the place after, and removed any pests and rodents! Would highly recommend Master Attic, and Robert, to anyone who needs insulation services done! They were friendly, professional, and really cared about the quality of their work, and the safety of my home. They also went the extra mile, to clean up and make the space rodent-free! There have been no issues throughout the service. 5 STARS!

Beautiful work, on time and on budget! Jim's crew coordinated scheduling with our electrician and the countertop installer. They gutted the kitchen down to the studs, added insulation, took out 3 layers of old linoleum, hung new sheetrock, laid a ceramic tile floor, put in a marble tile backsplash that needed a lot of custom cuts, replaced one window frame, installed floor-to-ceiling maple cabinets, installed pull-out shelves, built 2 custom cabinets, moved a gas line, and installed the appliances and fixtures. On the second floor, they created a new attic access hatch with ladder, and replaced a bedroom ceiling. We chose expensive materials for the kitchen, and Jim's crew did a great job installing these. We are very happy with our gorgeous new kitchen and wish we had done it a long time ago. We highly recommend Jim and his crew, especially John.

    ACJ Remodeling-Joseph Ashley
After contacting multiple siding companies for a quote, Joseph was the first one that got back to me and was willing to come to our house for an estimate. After getting all our quotes, his came back as the most reasonable. We decided to go with him and what a great decision it was; work was completed on time, the workers were courteous and knowledgeable and when it turned out there was a bit of extra work that needed to be done, Joseph did not nickel and dime us on the add-ons. It was one additional upfront cost that was laid out right from the beginning should our worst case scenario come true. We decided to go back to him for a roofing job on our garage which has not yet commenced, but I am sure it will be a great job and stress free experience.

    Gotham Builders of New York
Gotham was great! They gave me a estimated finish time of 6-8 weeks and the work was completed within 4 weeks. Jay was very professional and personable. All my questions and concerned were answered accordingly and the job was done beautifully! I would definitely use Gotham again.

    Major Homes Corp
We have used Major homes in the past. About 5 years ago they gutted and redid a part of my basement to create a master suite with an updated bathroom. They did such a good job that I was sure they would be right for this job. I will say, however, that I did my due diligence and had two other companies bid this job. Robert from Major homes bid this job and came up with the best offer. The prices were somewhat similar but as I had worked with Robert before and I knew the kind of work they did as well as it being a local business, we went with Major Homes. Robert offered a couple of incidentals for us at no charge like moving and installing the microwave from the old kitchen to our second kitchen upstairs and a couple of other plus's that made the offer a little sweeter. I have to say, we were not disappointed one bit. The kitchen looks amazing and the quality of the job is 5 star. All of the workers, plumbers, electrician, tilers, dry wallers, were totally professional, clean, and very conscientious. The job took almost 4 weeks and I had told Robert that I would like to be done on a certain date and he made it happen. I love my new kitchen and it was a pleasure working with all the guys with Major Homes. Now onto the next project!

JD Home Remodeling and Repairs Inc

We chose JD Home Remodeling after interviewing 5 contractors. Our 1955 house had 2 ugly original pink-tiled bathrooms (one full bath and a powder room) with visibly uneven wood lathe-and-plaster walls. They took both rooms down to the studs, added insulation, leveled the floors, replaced the old plumbing, and upgraded the wiring to meet current code and handle additional electrical fixtures. They installed vapor-proof wallboard; a 3-panel shower/tub surround; 6 coordinating ceramic and glass tile patterns on the walls and floors; LED lights; a high-efficiency fan; GFCI outlets; metal alloy bathtub; dual-flush toilets; integral sinks; low-flow faucets; chrome accessories; and 5 custom-made maple cabinets.

We unintentionally gave the crew 2 challenges which they handled very well.  First, we chose geometric mosaic tile designs for both bathroom floors, which required careful fitting, a LOT of tile cutting, and extra time to install. Both new floors are gorgeous and are the focal points of both bathrooms! The second problem was our choice of SwanStone panels for the master bath's alcove tub/shower surround. After doing a lot of research, my husband and I bought this product because we were tired of scrubbing mildewed tile grout lines, and we didn't want a cheap-looking fiberglass or plastic shower surround that might scratch and stain easily. Hence SwanStone, which is heavy, rigid, and somewhat difficult to install, but is beautiful, durable, and easy to clean, with just 2 seams in the alcove corners.  After using special glue (no fasteners allowed) to adhere the 3 large panels to the walls, the JD crew built a wooden frame to press those panels firmly to the backing board to ensure they would stay up without warping or forming air bubbles during the 48 hours' drying time required. It worked, and came out perfect!

Major renovations are a stressful process, but Mr. Doyle and his crew are honest, trustworthy gentlemen who made it as easy as possible. They carefully hung dust barriers to minimize the demolition mess, protected our hardwood floors from damage, tidied their work area at the end of each day, and swept up any debris. We plan to hire them for a long-overdue full kitchen renovation early next year.

Joey and his team are a class act.  They show up on-time or early and are very thorough and efficient.   They get started right away and continue to crank until the job is done.  They use non-toxic materials which is a huge plus given my sister's allergies and Joey was great to deal with remotely since I live out of state and this house was for my parents.   Good attention to details and tied to fill in every void he could.  Very happy with the quality and efficiency of the work and value for the price paid. Would not hesitate to recommend their services.

    Able Construction & Design Inc
Pat , the owner came in person to give us an estimate on the work we wanted to have done. He was very knowledgeable and left us feeling that he would give us the finished job that we wanted. It was made clear to us that any plumbing or electrical work that needed to be done was going to be handled by a licensed plumber and electircian which we felt was a big plus. The estimate came back to us in a timely manner and we decided to go ahead and have Able do the job.

Pat showed up with Bobby and Chris on the agreed date and it was immediately clear that we were in good hands. Having a background in construction and having done most of the interior work on the house myself, their professionalism and craftmanship were clearly evident in their approach to the job. The demolition and framing was completed in one day and set the job up for Tony, the plumber and Dennis the electrician to come in and complete their parts. The insulation, sheetrock, tile, trim work and painting all proceeded exactly on the schedule that Pat and I discussed. The last day of the job had Booby and Chris cleaning up and helping Tony to set up the washer/dryer , vanity, sink and toilet. The work started when Pat said it would and more importantly, it was finshed by the day we agreed on. Through out the job, Pat was was easy to communicate with and clearly remembered and addressed all the points that I had raised when he had come to give us the estimate. The finished job came out exactly as we had discussed and pictured ahead of time. I would highly recomend Able to my friends, family and neighbors and I would definitely use them again.

    BrightHome Energy Solutions
The team was truly awesome, I have to say. They were punctual, thorough, neat, and very professional. They spent the first three days air sealing all around the basement, in closets, and around bumpouts and filling our attic ceiling and knee walls with insulation, then spent two more days pumping 2,000 pounds of cellulose into our walls. We felt the difference immediately - walls that were icy to the touch before are now as warm as the interior of the room. No more drafts coming in around the bumpouts.
Best of all they were incredibly easy to work with - this job involved giving them a lot of access to places we use for storage, so it was a major pain moving things around. But they always gave us a heads-up on what area they needed access to next so we could move things in the right order.
I had also been worried about the mess, but they covered everything before they got to work and cleaned up after they were finished. (In some cases, like the bottoms of our 15-years-since-they-were-last-empty closets, they left the place cleaner than they found it.)
Couldn't be happier with the way it all went. This is an expensive job, but we're happy we did it. We won't know until next year how it will affect our heating bill, but we can already tell that it will -- we had some pretty cold days since the job was done but actually had the heat off. (My daughter woke up one night and asked if we could turn on the A/C!)
I definitely give these guys an A+ for their work.

J C Home Care Center Inc
The salesman who came to visit was very saleman-like - certainly not an energy auditor by any means! He spent most of his time telling us how great the company was, not talking much about my house at all. Gave us a quote for just insulation, nothing else. It was very reasonable, but there was a bit of hard sell (like we'd get a discount if we signed on the dotted line right then and there -- I hate that approach). We'd been talking to other companies who do insulation plus other services, like air sealing, and this guy told us all that was baloney, that we didn't need that. Also told us we didn't have to worry about sealing the rim joist because our house didn't have balloon framing (it does).

Took a while for them to get us references, but in the end we decided to go with another vendor. They have lots of good reviews for what they do, but I was not sold.
