    They are very eager to get you in. It is a dealer. It is an incredibly crowded facility. Even if you get up at 6 a.m. to get in line  for a 7 a.m. appointment it is still usually an hour wait before you can even get into the garage because there are so many cars. There are way too many vehicles that go to that place to be serviced. Even taking your car in for something as simple as an oil change takes four or five hours. There is a very nice waiting room with two TV's and all that, but you have 30 people sitting there with you. They don't have enough service bays and they don't have enough mechanics. That is not necessarily their fault because it is New York City and everybody from all over the five boroughs goes there. It is too many people trying to use the same facility.

    We have 2003 Mazda MPV.  We are also AAA members.  Over the years, we?ve called AAA for two flat tires.  AAA sent a tow truck
    from NorBell.  The drivers were very courteous and towed the car to NorBell, where the tires were replaced.  We?ve also had routine maintenance done at NorBell.  Sal and Samir have always explained what was needed and why.  The work has been done on time and at a fair price.
     
    Recently, the transmission started slipping. We looked at new cars, but couldn?t find one with such great visibility.  We had NorBell rebuild the transmission.  It shifts smoothly now.  All and all, NorBell has provided us with very professional service.

    This company is disgusting. They held our work vehicle hostage after giving the estimate. We even called the police and ended up letting them do the work when we found out how long the legal process could take to get it back.

    Excellent experience! I found them through Angie's List.  I explained that I needed to get the Inspection done asap and they accommodated me. They were prompt, professional and courteous. The station is clean and well-organized and the service was done while I waited within an extremely reasonable time-frame.  Upon completion, they went over everything with me and from now on I'll be using them for all my automotive servicing needs.  I recommend them highly!

    I have been going to Jand F for almost thirty years now and can't say enough nice things about Joe and Vinny. I recently moved to Queens and had a very bad experience trying to find a new mechanic. I called Jand F and Vinny responded exactly how I wish the new place had and he even defended the new place without even having all the details. Turned out he was right about the repair in question but he couldn't defend the new guy's attitude and rudeness. Even though I now will need to cross the Throgs Neck Bridge and take Metro North to work, I will go nowhere else but Jand F Chatsworth. They may not be the cheapest shop but I always know that only repairs that need to be done will be done properly and professionally. Besides all that they are GREAT guys. See you soon guys!!!

    I dealt with the garage manager, Sal and everything went well at first. They fixed my brake line at an admittedly high price but it was the price quoted. But when I came back to pick up my car he had a list of things that I needed to do before he would pass my car for inspection including changing a number of light bulbs including the bulb near the back license plate. I didn't even know that there was a bulb there. I changed all the bulbs, including that one and went to get the car inspected at a place that was open on the weekend. They told me that the brake line repair was done improperly and that I needed to go back to Norbel and tell them about it. When I did on Mon. morning, Sal was a different person. It would have been nice if he had just told me that the other garage was wrong because they would never do repairs incorrectly but instead he said that he would check with his mechanic and get back to me. Apparently, by his own admission, he berated this mechanic in front of his co-workers and told him that he should know better than to do this brake line repair improperly. The mechanic defended himself and put my car on the lift and showed Sal that the repair had in fact been done correctly. When I returned, Sal explained the repair to me to my satisfaction but then demanded an apology from me for accusing them of an improper repair and revealed that he had berated his employee. I tried to explain that I was only going on information that I had received from three other mechanics at this other place and that the person that really deserved an apology was his employee for the way he was treated by his own manager and for not giving him the benefit of the doubt. He had no response.  Needless to say, I will NEVER return to a place that not only treats its customers so rudely but treats its employees the same way. STAY AWAY!!!

    The service was excellent. They did everything I asked them to do on time. When my wife drops the car off for service, they take her to work and then go and pick her up when the car is done being serviced. We have a lot of confidence in them, knowing that when we take our car to them it is going to be done right.

    Bought the Shell card for $5 almost a month ago and just got it the other day. When I went to the Shell station nearby, the card didn't work. I had the station owner try it by entering the whole card amount and then a partial card amount and it just gave an error message saying "Call Card Issuer." Called Angie's list for help and they told me the card seemed fine from their end. Just more aggravation than the $5 is worth so now I have to return the card and get another one in maybe a month or so.
