Interior Painting reviews in Bayport

  • Recently did a major renovation and solicited 3 estimates for painting a living room, bathroom and a mud room. Paul provided a very specific and professional estimate and a scheduled start date was agreed upon. Work was completed on schedule even though some additional items were added. Paul's work is top quality. Rooms are absolutely beautiful.

  • We were very happy with the company on both occasions. There was one glitch with a flooring issue . NDA took care of the problem immediately with no additional expense to us. We would hire them again. They are professional, on time, do good work and are responsive.

  • My paint estimator was Jason and he was excellent. Timing was good and the quality of the work was excellent. I had estimates done last year, but never started the job till recently. Jason was professional and I called him back for that reason.

  • We were very pleased with the renovations that were recently completed for us by Wickman Construction Inc.

The work involved different skills and the work took place in various areas of our home rather than in one location. We were impressed by the quality of the work, and the positive attitudes of all the workers.  We appreciated the suggestions and feedback that Brian provided.  He brought up ideas for handling the projects that we would never have thought of..

The craftsmen arrived promptly every day.  They always left the workplace clean at days end. They kept to a tight schedule so we were confident the day would start and finish at the same times and could plan the rest of our day comfortably.

Alex, the lead person and his partner Juan were a pleasure to have around.  They always accommodated our need to step over some of the work they were doing to get to a different part of the house.  We have had the experience of contractors playing their music while working. Though music is a good thing people have different tastes and times when they want to listen to it.  It was good not to have an issue around that.

Once the work was begun Brian checked in often.  We were always able to reach him directly when the work was going on to ask a question, give our feedback etc.  If we needed to leave a message his office manager Kieran was always available and worked to resolve any issues we had.

The licensed professionals that Brian called in to do plumbing and electric were readily available. We had an instance where communication was not clear about where to place certain plumbing.  Once we noticed the error Brian contacted the plumber. The plumber was back in our house the next day and did a great job putting it right for us.

We would definitely hire this contractor again in the future and would not hesitate to recommend him to friends and family.

  • We recently renovated the original kitchen/dining area in our 50 year old colonial. We obtained several estimates for the project and chose Selective Sculptures to complete the work. The project included taking down a bearing wall and replacing it with header, gutting the entire area and putting in new insulation and sheetrock, moving and replacing a window, putting in a new tile floor, new cabinets, quartz countertop, subway tile backsplash, new interior doors, moving plumbing and rewiring electric and installing high hats and pendant lights, painting walls, ceiling, doors and new molding throughout. The actual cost of the job came very close to our estimate, only going over a reasonable amount because of issues with electrical and plumbing when the walls were opened due to the age of the house. Everyone was very professional throughout the entire project and treated our home as if it was their own. From the day we initially met with the kitchen designer Dominick, and the project manager Mike, we felt very comfortable with the team. All the workers were very skilled and took pride in their work. Everyone was considerate, responded immediately to any question or concern that we had. Each day they had a plan for the work to be performed and didn't leave until it was completed. Each morning we were asked if we had any questions and if we were satisfied. At the end of the work day, everything was cleaned up neatly. The entire project was estimated to take 4-6 weeks. The majority of the work was performed within the 4 weeks, only pushing to 5 because an item was on backorder. The quality of the materials, all of which we were able to see and purchase through their showroom, were excellent, as was the workmanship. We would highly recommend Selective sculptures to complete any kitchen/bath renovation. Although going with a company that we hadn't heard of before, we were a little hesitant, but we are so glad we went with Selective Sculptures. I have already recommended them to friends , and will definitely be using them again in the future for bathroom remodeling. • I had a flood in my hallway, moulding had to be replaced and painted.  My son-in-law started the restoration job, but could not finish.  I went to Angie's list and found Prescion.  I was very impressed with their work and professionalism.  It  just cost a little more than I had thought it would.
But, I probably would hire Shawn again.  I just would make sure I understood the pricing the next time.   I was very satisfied with the work.  They are very neat, everything was cleaned up and put away as if they were never there.

  • I recently had Start to Finish Construction remodel my bathroom.  The original layout in my bathroom was very poor and Bruce made several suggestions about how it could be improved. Even something so simple as reversing the way the door opened (one of Bruce?s suggestions) made it much easier to get into the small bathroom.  We settled on a layout that I liked and Bruce
scheduled me in to have the work done. Bruce and his helper had to relocate the toilet which required breaking up the concrete floor and rerouting the waste pipe.  While this excavation was not extensive it required precision measurement to get the toilet placed as I wanted it.  The vanity and mirror had to be relocated to a different wall so the plumbing had to be rerouted.  The new vanity cabinet and granite counter top also had to be custom fitted to the new location. New faucet, new tile floor, new ventilation fan, new lighting fixtures (with relocated wiring) and refinished walls (replacing some of the drywall, spackling and painting)
completed the job.  The remodeling took less than a week from start to finish. Bruce takes great pride in his work and it is reflected in my bathroom. I get many compliments on the new look. Start to Finish Construction will work with you until you are completely satisfied. While this was a relatively small job for Bruce, he gave it 100% of his attention. I will be calling him again for my next project, big or small.

  • It went great. Kevin arrived the day after we called and provided us with a written estimate. When we accepted the estimate, he got the details on the color we wanted and when the paint company sent the wrong color, Denise , who helped with the color choices and is also Kevins wife, showed up with the right paint in time for the job. The crew showed up the following morning at 8 AM and went to work. Kevin was in touch with us when any question or issue arose. Four and a half days later, my wife and I walked in and were amazed at how the great the job turned out. I had used them before but it had been years and they had grown so I was very pleased to see that the professionalism and detail in the work had not been lost.

  • Several years ago we used “1-800-Paint-Job” to complete an exterior paint job that had been started by another contractor (a one man “firm”). This contractor disappeared when the job was partially finished. The job was to prepare and stain the wood shingles that had been installed and allowed to “age” (exposed to the weather) prior to finishing. “1-800-Paint Job” completed the job in a rapid, professional fashion and we were very pleased with the work.
    CURRENT JOB
In December, 2012, we hired “1-800-Paint Job” for interior painting in our older home; many of the walls and much of the woodwork date to the 1920s or earlier. The age and condition of the home required extensive prep work before the painting could begin.
The contractor and his crew spent a great deal of time sanding and spackling so that both the walls and work trim were in near new condition. Included in the work were risers and stringers of a staircase. In addition, the wood floors had been recently refinished and needed to be protected during the entire period the painters were here.
Prior to beginning, we discussed the paints that could be used and the pros and cons of each with Gary. We also were able to discuss the details of the contract and had a clear understanding of what was included and the time frame for the job.
Once work began, the contractor’s crew worked neatly, cleaned at the end of each day, and adjusted their schedule to ours. They finished within the time estimated in the contract. Gary (the and quot;ownerand quot;) stopped in every day to discuss the job with us and whether any changes neded to be made.
    - Bradford B.
  • Great. Everything that was discussed was performed on time and on budget
