    Fan motor stopped working on our forced air heat/AC system. Technician came out and diagnosed it as a burned out fan motor ( as I suspected also). Came back next afternoon with the motor and we were up and cooling off the house. Had them charge the system as well. I would definitely recommend them and I will use them again.

    I called on Saturday. They offered to see if a tech was in the area and to come that day, but due to the additional cost we could not afford emergency service so I scheduled an appointment for them to come Monday instead. They never showed up and they never called. We still have no heat and are have had to schedule with a different company. I thought I could trust Angie's List's Super Service Award recipient to deliver good service but apparently not.

    There was no cost of service. The problem is this, in New York, when you have a contract for home services, it runs rather expensive. We started off with, they weren't called HomeServe, but they were another company, for the contract for the air conditioning and the heating alone. And right now that's pretty expensive if you want to add anything on. They've added other things like plumbing and things like that. By the time you add that over to a contract, it's going to run you over $600 a year. The thing is, in Florida, we have a small place there, the same contract that includes all these things is right around $250. So the New York area is high priced for contracts and some people have them, but we have it on the basic heating and air conditioning.

    Awoke in the middle of the night to hear burner making a loud clicking noise and cycling rapidly on and off.   Shut down unit.  Contacted Energywise Inc, Ronkonkoma at approximately 10:00 am following day.  Decided to try company based on personal recommendation from my plumber and several positive reviews on Angie's List.   "Telephone call was immediately answered by "Debbie" who advised that she would try to get a tech out to me by 3 pm that afternoon and would call to keep me apprised of effort.  Received a confirm at 2:30 from Debbie advising that she had a tech responding.  Technician, Mike C, arrived shortly afterward.  Upon conducting an exam of the burner's wiring, Mike found a faulty quick connector and determined it was making poor contact  causing unit's safety circuit to shut down.   Mike replaced connection and checked unit upon restart for further problems.   Finding none, he advised that I was good to go and there would be no further charge than the initial service call rate.  Very honest, courteous and professional company from start to finish.  Putting them on my "speed dial"   Triple AAA recomendatgion.

    We have service contracts for the Navien boiler and the central air, and also have 3 ductless units. The boiler was serviced in the fall and today the ac units were readied for use. As always the technicians were very friendly and efficient. It is nice to do business with such a  professional staff.

    In December, our heat went out. We called another company to fix it. They mentioned our blower motor wouldn't last long and recommended we get it replaced ASAP. In March, we called Green City to get the motor replaced. It was gradually getting louder so we assumed it was approaching time to replace it. Aharon came out to investigate. He quickly told us the motor was fine and the furnace we have is just noisy. He cleaned the furnace and tightened everything down. Noise was gone when he left, it has since returned as expected. Original company quoted $1000+ for the motor, Green City quoted about half that. Turns out we didn't even need it. They could have easily told us we did and made more money off of us but they didn't.

    AJ was a very patient contractor who put up with a lot of negatives along the way that were mostly imposed by our mortgage company. ��We had problems with permits taking forever (about a month) and getting clear to build due to things out of our control, but once we started, the main frame of the new bedroom along with additional foundation support were nearly done in a week. ��After that, splitting a room, adding a hallway, and wiring the area went relatively quickly. ��Converting to gas and adding HVAC did not take long either. ��We just finished the work by mid-November and we are very pleased. ��Every one that was either part of his crew or subcontracted did amazing work and were extremely professional and nice.

    The furnace at my mother's house was not working due to a seized blower motor.  Of course this occurred when temps outside were below freezing.  Tony arrived promptly to access the situation and gave us a quote.  He had to order the replacement for us and said it would be a couple of days.  Brrrrr.  But later, Tony called to say he could take care of it the next day.  Yay!

    When he came to the house he proceeded to place a protective covering over all of the flooring in his path and down the basement stairs all the way through to the back of the basement where the furnace is located.  Tony was polite and professional and explained the work he was doing.

    He removed the old Lenox furnace which was original to the house.  It had a good life.  It was replaced with a Goodman Gas Furnace and whatever other materials were necessary to complete the job.  Tony also upgraded the water heater exhaust at no extra cost to mom.  He also honored the $100 Angie's List coupon bringing the cost to mom down to $2900.

    Tony also informed mom that stuff was falling in from the connecting chimney.  He advised her to have the chimney looked at as soon as possible.  We appreciate the care and concern he took in making sure that she would be safe even after his job was done.    Turns out the chimney cap was totally rusted away allowing rain and snow to fall in .  There was also evidence that squirrels had been using it as a nest.  Yes, we took care of that the following week.

    Tony also cleaned up the area nicely when his work was completed.  My mom took particular delight in how Tony rolled up all the floor covering from the furnace, up the stairs and out the door. 

    Thanks for a job well done, Tony.  Mom is now safe and warm on a frigid 9 degree day like today.
