    We had CAC install a water softener at our home. We informed them that we had a low flow well and water management was important. We use 2 165 gallon storage tanks for water storage which has been enough for the previous 6 months. When the softener was installed we had resin in our water line within days. They came out and replaced 2 filters inside the unit. This equipment failure completely filled our washing machine and kitchen sink lines that we had to flush. We ran out of water within a month. The softener was sticking during the brine rinse cycle. I called their on call service and was told to place the unit into bypass and service world call me to set up a service time during normal business hours. They showed up 2 days later with no call. They rebuilt the head and reinstalled it. We ran out of water again within a week. Same issue sticking during brine rinse. Placed unit into bypass. Called them next business day, they showed up 2 days later checked the unit (again without calling). Seemed to be fine after they manually advanced it. I questioned them about the amount of water used during a regeneration and amount of time to regenerate etc 3 times more same issue same results. Then they replaced the entire head and said that should take care of the issues. I noticed that my boost pump was cycling and went to check the unit and found out that the unit was stuck AGAIN I called them and told them that we had not ran out of water yet but was draining the tanks and would leave it in service till they get there. They were able to get here in time to witness the issue. They called the manufacturer and spoke with them again and told it was a issue in stage 4 of the new head. They pulled the entire unit this time and took it to the shop to test. I called the next week and left a message on the voice mail. 7 calls later I said enough and drove to the office 35 miles away. I was told the manager was at lunch and was welcome to wait for him(about 15 minutes). 25 minutes later one of the office personal informed me that the manager was busy but aware of the situation. They informed me that they had canceled the rental agreement the day they pulled the unit and would be letting me out of contract. I asked for a refund for the months that the unit was not working and restore the plumbing to original condition (they had 6 push lock connectors) was denied. 7 service calls and 11 ignored phone calls later I purchased a new unit at a big box store and installed it myself and it is working fine.
