    J.A. PREASTER PAVING
I had a section of the driveway that had holes due to standing water. I was told it would be done on Friday because the car was in the driveway Thursday night and it would be in the way. My wife and I came home and there was a patch done. It did not cover all of the holes and he said he would finish it on Friday. That never happened. He then said that all I wanted done? Why would I pay for a driveway to get it fixed and NOT have all of holes filled? He put a sealer down where the old meet the new about 3 weeks later in the rain and of course it never sealed like it was supposed to. He also dumped the old asphalt into my creek.

    Pro Pave
Good price, on-time, courteous, professional, engaging and ready to explain any detail, and clean up of road and surrounding area was excellent! Crew worked great together, organized, no smoking and joking wasting time, and knocked it out from arrival to finish in about an hour. One could tell they do this every day and do it well. Highly recommended! As with any work of this nature time is the ultimate test but based on the way the work was handled I have no doubt it will last for many years to come.

    Secure Seal
Received a prompt call-back within 15 minutes of leaving a message at Secure Seal and within 3 days, the job was completed to my complete satisfaction. Very neat and thorough, and at the estimated price. Cost a little more because it was basically a new driveway, never sealed before, which takes far more sealant than it normal.

They showed up on time and even fit me in on the day I called.  They did a good job.  They also applied crack sealer and a bit of new asphalt where it was crumbling in the corner along the road.

The gentleman gave me an over-the-phone quote, which was definitely on target for what I described. The weather got in the way of scheduling (this season was just too rainy), but he knew it was important to get it done, so his crew came out on a Sunday to take care of it for me. You don't see that kind of customer service these days. Really nice guys who did fantastic work.

    Ken's Paving Co Inc
While I had quotes from a number of potential providers, and all of them priced lower than Ken, Ken provided a very detailed quote with exact specifications of the products to be used and how the work would be done. It provided an assurance that Ken and his company knew what they were doing. Quality is what I was seeking.
The communication from his company re scheduling and the "do's and don'ts" after the job is done was very explicit.
It was a two day job this year. One day to excavate and grade, the second to pave using "binder". Next year they will complete the job with a "topcoat".
After the binder was done, Kris, the paving boss, reiterated the "do's and don'ts"and gave me further advice re the new driveway.
If you want quality and very specific information of what you will get for your money I'd definitely recommend Ken's Paving.

    Scott's Super Seal
The service went well.   They came and blew off the driveway and cleaned it before sealing.   There was Scott and two employees that performed the work.   I think it looks good.   They were careful not to get any sealer on the house or lawn.   They did a great job.   I think they are more expensive than others I have received quotes from.   The guy who did my driveway the first time (which should be the most expensive job since it takes the most sealer) only charged me $300 for the that job.   Any sealing jobs after the first application should have been cheaper...but that was not the case.  I am not saying that Scott's price was way off the mark....just higher than what I was expecting.   However, his quality of work seemed good and he was able to seal the drive the next day...which is why I did't go back to the original guy (he was booking out 2 weeks).
As for the quality of the materials...they seem the same as the first guy.   All these driveway sealing companies claim they have the best materials and they all badmouth the other guys saying they water it down...etc. etc. etc.    I honestly don't know how much that is true...I am sure there are some real crooked people out there....but for my driveway the ~$300 guys all seem to have the same stuff.   It goes on and wears the same....so until someone wants to actually provide facts and not just words about the quality of their product it all appears the same to me.   That being said Scott did a good job and the product he uses looks to be on par with the other sealing companies in his price range.

    Secure Seal

They were responsive once the holiday passed.  Driveway looks nice, it was very convenient.  The only thing I would question is the 50% off price I got through Angie's list.  It was supposed to be a $400 value.  When I was given the estimate, the estimate given was $200.  Seems to me I should have been given a $400 product, and not have them work within the $200 certificate they knew I had through Angie's List.  Had they given me a $400 product, I would have had them repair the driveway differently.  That said, I do believe I received a $200 product, done well.  I just don't feel I received a $400 value which was what I was  paying for.

They were great. I called them and within 2 hours they were at my house and completed my driveway.
    Excellent job.
    Driveway looks great.
Price was very reasonable compared to other quotes.
