    Victory Building & Construction
The renovations went horrible ultimately I ended up letting this company go and hired a new contractor to fix everything that victory screwed up. I was ripped off and this company is currently under investigation with consumers affairs with multiple clients. They also did another home in the next town over from me who paid more money than I and is currently suing him in court. I put a complaint and hearing with scca which he never showed for, the client who lived close by me says he never showed for his court date with them either. His licensed is currently revoked. Be aware and stay away from this company [*** Link removed ***] Here is the proof of the work that was done in my home on the link above, this contractor stole $14,300 from me, was dishonest on his estimate and took advantage of a me as a 1st time home owner. Jim and his wife Maryann who run victory fine homes aka victory Building and construction are good talkers to get service but immediately turn on you once the project is started. They stall time start begging for money and to be honest these guys spent 6-8 days working on my home within a 4 1/2 week period. i also received threats after confronting owners on the horrible work and was threatened if i let them go that i would be reported to the town of Babylon for not obtaining permits after Jim made the Suggestion not to get permits for electrical an plumbing. my signature was forged on documents for payments, these guys claim to know about 203k loans however they are not lucrative to fund projects and they keep hounding for money. Jim put tile on top of tile which makes it more likely for my floor to crack and told me if i wanted it done properly that i have to pull up old tiles myself in order to have it done properly although his contract does not say this. now i have to fix on even tiles in my kitchen, does not properly prepare walls for paint and tries to cover up holes on walls with molding which now i have to repaint and patch properly. This company does not take accountability for their actions and instead makes threats towards consumers please be aware i have a police report out and also have pending investigations open with local agencies. i would include the nasty text and emails that i received but you will eventually see what i mean if you decide to use this company. they suggest that they are very known and reputable but in fact they are not i tried to do my research and found not much besides the reviews they may have given themselves and that the business is ran from their home in bay shore.

The Team was very professional. We had a bad experience in the past with a contractor and as a result we were very guarded. The owner answered our questions and made us feel comfortable in the process. They were on time for work and assisted us in the design decisions. The Team also made sure to cleaned up as much as possible before they would leave. This was a pleasant experience and we would use them again for any future projects.

    Paul Lopa Designs Inc
Paul was very responsive, providing detailed estimates and well qualified contractors to completely rebuild my home on Long Island IAW FEMA requirements.  Finding a construction professional who is honest, easy to talk to, and delivers on promises was impossible before I connected with Paul.  Thanks Angie!

    Straight Up Straut Construction, Inc.
5 stars, top notch!!  We couldn't be happier with Straight Up Straut Construction.  From the beginning Nathan provided a competitive estimate and went above and beyond working with our insurance company.  The level of detail provided in his estimate and the many extra hours he spent dealing with our adjusters was critical to us receiving the appropriate insurance money.  Nathan and his crew were always on time and conducted themselves in an extremely professional manner.  As for the job we had our entire first floor and garage flooded with nearly two feet of salt water.  We have a colonial with a lot of detailed woodwork and moldings and SUS construction re-built our entire first floor without missing a single detail from the orginal.  The job entailed gutting the entire first floor and garage to the frame.  All along the way my wife and I were blown away by Nathan's level of knowledge and the care he took to lay out suggestions and options.  Anyone who has done a complete remodel knows how stressful it can be and we couldn't have been more comfortable with Natahan and SUS.  From the start, once everything was gutted he pointed out several structural defencies and spent a lot of time beefing up the framing of our home.  All along the way he would explain the different options available for materials and the pros and cons of each, no matter how small or big the decision was he made sure we were included and felt comfortable with the decisions.  This is huge since there a lot of products on the market and a lot ways contractors can use cheap stuff and cut corners and the homeowner would never know.  We heard a lot of post-sandy stories of contractors just looking to get in and out and bang out as many jobs as possible.  No way was this the case with SUS.  SUS was extremely patient as my wife and I labored on decisions and at times changed our mind.  Even when extra works was required or something had to be re-done because we changed our mind after it was installed, it was never an issue and we didn't get nickled and dimed on all the extras and the extra time spent.  Overall, Nathan's level of detail, honesty, and workmanship was the best you could expect out of any professional in any industry.  If he saw something off by 1/16th inch he wasn't happy until it was fixed.  SUS also took great care in preserving and caring for our personal items that had to remain on the job-site.  Months later when we were re-hanging our blinds we couldn't find some of the hanging clips.  I called Nathan's cell phone and he told me to check in a jar in a cabinet in the garage and sure enough they were there.  We can't say enough good stuff about our experience, we highly recommend SUS construction and have to our family and neighbors.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. Little to no integrity. Started off great...Larry helped my with my fire damage claim. When it came time to do the work, though, numerous broken promises time after time. Took over a YEAR to do a simple siding job, AND I HAD TO PAY FOR THE MATERIAL LOL!!! Their crew were OK...management the problem here. I made the dumb mistake of overpaying them and they still owe me money to this day. They complained of cash flow problems...being in commercial construction I understood and tried to work with them, but cannot count how many unanswered phone calls. The only way I could recoup some of the money was to have them actually work off the debt - I had to GIVE THEM MORE WORK to pay it down. Lesson learned...DO NOT PAY YOUR CONTRACTORS UNTIL THEY DO THE WORK. Tomorrow I file claims against them with consumer affairs and small claims court. STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS.EditDelete

    Wolf's Construction Inc
It went longer than planned due that the windows were severely rotted inside along with the beams. The beams had to be replaced and leveled again.
The basement had steel beams and poles installed in concrete to accommodate the weight for the porcelain floors.

    Overall Excellent.
Started when they said they wouldSecond floor down in like 2 daysReframed out within another few days. Site was clean every day. Neighbor in construction industry let me know that they were working, busting there a**. Contractor worked with us in regards to adjustments, layout changes. Always informed us if adjustment/changes would have impact on cost. Also made excellent suggestions for us to consider. Overall estimate was 4-5 months. Took about 4.5 months. Last bit was detail work. Recommended painters who also did an excellent job.
Any issues can call them and they will come back. In last few weeks (aug 2012) actually got back to them in regards to broken window. (our fault) and they gladly looked to help out with the manufacturer to get us the best price.Reinformed us that anything goes wrong just reach out to them.
    Overall an excellent experience.
I have heard from many people how bad the experience can be. As always there were some issues butoverall extremely satisfied with the results and would use them again in a second.

    Wolf's Construction Inc
The initial request for a first floor reconstruction of my house in which once the job began many skeletons arose from my closets.  The house foundation was slowly deteriorating behind the paneling in addition to the basement the floor was starting to concave in from all the weight with the windows were rotting. The job began with tearing of the entire wall to make it one open space while adding a sliding door to the back of the house.  From the back room and the kitchen, radiant heat was installed with porcelain tiles. Due to the weight of the tiles, steel beams are installed in concreted in the basement to secure the weight of the heating, cement, appliances with new granite tops and counters.    The owner spoke with our town hall to ensure that the installation is up to code if we were to sell the home in the near future.   As the job progressed with the kitchen, the location of the sink was moved from the back by the bathroom to the front of the house.  To add to additional work that was required was the incorrect front window ordered though no fault of Wolf’s.  My window order was incorrect and rather than have an open area during the month of November, a window that was currently in stock though a bit more expensive was replaced.  With the new window, the original measurements did not match the window that was installed. There was additional work to make the area larger, which means again additional costs.   The amount that was agreed up on for the contract remained the same, which I was very impressed.  The most recent job was due to the water damage from my washing machine in the basement.  Mr. Wolf took full responsibility with keeping constant contact with the insurance agent ensuring that we received a fair settlement to repair the damage and items lost.  The owner stood in budget and researched replacement products for reasonable costs.  When I called for the service, he was at my home within the hour with buckets and a shop vacuum to clean the water.  It took a few days and then painted the wall with specialized paint to prevent future mold occurring. The floor in the basement was replaced with a vinyl floor and now my basement looks even larger than before.  He put in a separation between the basement and laundry area if there was to be a living area established privacy was immediately available. On both occasions, the work was of high quality workmanship with the minimal amount of stress for me.    The team was very conscientious and polite with old school mentality. They put the customer first, took their time with all the work, which left no room for error. The owner was on the premises the entire time and takes pride in his work.

Think they did a great job at a fair/good price.
Make many suggestions on how to improve layout things.
Willing to work with you, listen to your changes and explain if it could be done, what it would cost and typically offer a better suggestion
    There staff totally professional.
Started when they said they would. - Cleaned up every day.
