    GENERAL BRICK DESIGNS
I cant say enough good things about Ed and his team! We needed foundation/chimney/external basement entrance work and had concerns with other areas. No matter how much homework you do, you have to take a leap of faith and trust the professional to guide you. We did that with Ed and have no complaints! Ed is thorough , knowledgeable and honest. He welcomes questions, hears your concerns, makes sure you are comfortable with the plan and provides options when available. His team is hard working, highly skilled and efficient, even in less than favorable conditions. Ed and team are not just about getting the job done; they take pride in the job they do. My only regretnot being able to shake the hand of every one of the team and thank them personally for a job well done! Would not hesitate to hire them again and highly recommend General Brick Designs.

    Victory Building & Construction
The renovations went horrible ultimately I ended up letting this company go and hired a new contractor to fix everything that victory screwed up. I was ripped off and this company is currently under investigation with consumers affairs with multiple clients. They also did another home in the next town over from me who paid more money than I and is currently suing him in court. I put a complaint and hearing with scca which he never showed for, the client who lived close by me says he never showed for his court date with them either. His licensed is currently revoked. Be aware and stay away from this company [*** Link removed ***] Here is the proof of the work that was done in my home on the link above, this contractor stole $14,300 from me, was dishonest on his estimate and took advantage of a me as a 1st time home owner. Jim and his wife Maryann who run victory fine homes aka victory Building and construction are good talkers to get service but immediately turn on you once the project is started. They stall time start begging for money and to be honest these guys spent 6-8 days working on my home within a 4 1/2 week period. i also received threats after confronting owners on the horrible work and was threatened if i let them go that i would be reported to the town of Babylon for not obtaining permits after Jim made the Suggestion not to get permits for electrical an plumbing. my signature was forged on documents for payments, these guys claim to know about 203k loans however they are not lucrative to fund projects and they keep hounding for money. Jim put tile on top of tile which makes it more likely for my floor to crack and told me if i wanted it done properly that i have to pull up old tiles myself in order to have it done properly although his contract does not say this. now i have to fix on even tiles in my kitchen, does not properly prepare walls for paint and tries to cover up holes on walls with molding which now i have to repaint and patch properly. This company does not take accountability for their actions and instead makes threats towards consumers please be aware i have a police report out and also have pending investigations open with local agencies. i would include the nasty text and emails that i received but you will eventually see what i mean if you decide to use this company. they suggest that they are very known and reputable but in fact they are not i tried to do my research and found not much besides the reviews they may have given themselves and that the business is ran from their home in bay shore.

    Selective Sculptures
It was time to remodel our 12ft x 15ft kitchen. We attended home shows and also had several in-home estimates. Selective Sculptures presented us with several innovative design alternatives that best suited our needs. Their designer, Dominick, met with us on several occasions to discuss what we had in mind. He listened patiently, asked questions and made suggestions. He summarized what he thought was possible and proceeded to explain how our requirements and concerns would be managed. He was confident that this would be done to our satisfaction. We visited their showroom and were impressed by the selection of materials on display as well as the available staff there to help us. We reviewed plans and design changes with Scott who presented us with digital renditions. Dominick also spent a great deal of time assisting my wife with material selection. During the construction phase the owner and project manager, Mike, was readily available and easy to reach. He visited the site often and was always on top of things. The office staff, Jan in particular, was always there to navigate through our numerous concerns. The construction staff was professional, clean and considerate of our home. Our new kitchen is perfect. Our new cabinets offer maximum storage and organized convenience. The finishing touches such as crown, floor and cabinet molding are eye-catching. Beautiful quartz counter tops redesigned to offer more surface space. New appliances are perfectly integrated into the design. The new counter height peninsula/island has surface space that acts as a table as well as additional prep space. It also has spacious storage underneath. The new wood-look tile planking floor ties the whole design together. The comments from people that knew our old kitchen are quite complimentary. Wow! I cant believe this is the same space. I never would have thought such a transformation was possible. It is an absolute pleasure to cook and spend time in our new kitchen.

    RGD Construction
Bob and his guys at Unique Interior Finishes brought their A-game to our recent renovation. We read Yelp, Home Advisor and Angies list reviews and expected great things. We were not let down. Bob's team is friendly and on-time. They were friendly and happy to answer questions. Some electrical concerns arose in our older home and they walked us through options keeping us safe and under budget. They are very much focused on the client. UIF gutted and finished a two-floor apartment including bathroom and kitchen. We were not the easiest clients; changing our minds while on a tight schedule. Bob was on the job site every day. He brought with him a level of professionalism and organization to every aspect of the project. His estimate was spot-on as far as time frame and budget. Bob works with integrity at a fair price. UIF is not just some handyman. Every inch of the apartment is just as we had hoped. Which means a rental property we could be proud of. Unique Interior Finishes will meet/ beat competitors estimates. We have recommended them to friends and Family. We hope to have Bob & Co back on our next project.

Creative Design Ceramic Tile & Bath
The offer was for a contractor for a week, ended up being a contractor and helper for 3 days. They definitely focus on time and doing just what they have in mind, primarily to setup an extended commitment. Deliberate in what they do and how. Work is good but slow. Initial Interaction can be a little off- putting. Definitely a time contract. The potential follow-on work activity was estimated to take 21 days at a substanial price uplift(7x times the original engagement). The work has been completed by another provider inside of a week at a more honest rate. $4,000 Would not recommend engaging this provider

    Mado Construction Realty
Amazing attention to detail and incredibly responsive, they far exceeded all of our expectations and would immediately turn to them if we were to have any additional renovation needs. These guys are full service -- from creating the design to following through in making it exactly as it was planned. They arehighly professional, and more importantly, trustworthy company.
I dealt with Ata Magden, who is the owner of company, he is polite, always at the job site and kept everything clean. The job was done exactly on time. I will highly recommend Mado Construction to anyone.

    Creatively Dunn Inc
I was so happy and delighted with the price and service, I decided to have them continue remodeling my upstairs as well, including the kitchen, bathroom, and dining room, as well as adding a room. We will also eventually be using them to do the siding of the home as well. Brandon, specifically, has been exceptional. His craftsmanship is unbelievable and he is so helpful. He is such a gentleman and a hard worker and just goes above and beyond.

    GENERAL BRICK DESIGNS
The job went extraordinarily well from our very first conversations with Eddie Costanzo to the well thought-out meticulous re-structuring and engineering of the damaged walls with new footings steel, block, concrete and water proofing to finished surfaces to the last bit of clean up. Eddie's experience with the Army Corps of Engineers and years as a master mason and his incredibly talented, hard working and courteous crew showed every day of the project. General Brick Designs exceeded every expectation. I really don't know how they could be any better. My wife and I could not have asked for more from them and will sleep well at night knowing that the foundation walls are stronger now than they were when they were built 85 years ago. From day one, every man arrived on-time, was fully prepared to work and began work immediately. Eddie was engaged and informative from his return of my first call to the last hour of clean up. He was incredibly knowledgeable and and shared every detail of the project as it progressed. At every point, he ensured that we understood, and were comfortable with, how he planned to address issues while providing concise explanations of the problems with our foundation and the causes leading to them. At no point from beginning to the final payment did he ask for or suggest any change to our contract or conditions despite there being more serious issues than any of us suspected. Finally, you could not a nicer, harder working and courteous group of men than these. The whole experience was a pleasure.

    Junk in my Trunk

We used Junk in my Trunk on two previous occasions for exterior demo work but this would be the first time we used them for interior demolition. We had to reschedule our first meeting with Tom, the owner, because he was involved in a car accident that day but when he arrived the following week he evaluated our project and gave us a fair price.

The crew arrived on time and started by laying down drop cloths and taping up plastic sheets to minimize the amount of dust that would be flowing around. The spare room was done first and took about 4-5 hours to complete. They then got started on the additional walls and masonry removal. All of the waste was carted away in their dump truck.

Finally the crew vacuumed and mopped the floors to remove the fallen dust. We still have to clean everything that stuck to the walls, furniture, and appliances but there was no way the job would have been dust-free. They started the job at 8am and were done between 3 and 3:30pm, just before it started snowing.

There was one area above a doorway they forgot to tear out but it is a small enough job to handle ourselves and we didn't want to hold them up with the snow storm approaching that day.

We really like their service and would not hesitate to use them again.

    M.A.Y. Tank Company
Mike the owner originally told me $700 to abandon an inground 275 Gallon oil tank to DEC standards. The guys were nice. they did the job as promised. The only thing that was dissappointing is that they added a surprise fee of a $1 per gallon of removed liquid if the liquid to be removed was a mix of oil and water. They should have told me that when i got the estimate. They told me it was a mix and that there was 80 gallons removed. so that added $80 to the original estimate of $700.00. The only good thing about that is the lowest other estimate i received was 850.00 so this was still the best price. I was provided with a certificate of abandonment showing the company name, address and their License number with the state.
