    Piscopo Iron Works
Everything looks perfect! Done exactly as we wanted. The particular style we chose was a lot of straight lines and everything lined up beautifully. The way they all worked and cleaned as they went along was great. Really took great care in containing any mess. Gaspers professionalism is fantastic. He is very responsive and is easily accessible. Highly recommend and will definitely use again!

I had a rather complicated project that involved the removal of an old prefab sunroom sitting on top of a large 13x11' wrought iron elevated deck. The work involved demolition of part of the old deck with re-design of the remaining (deck) into a smaller one + installation of a new 2nd-floor fire escape. These guys made it look easy and completed the project ON TIME & AS PROMISED. During and after the project I quickly learned that I had hired the right team. I called numerous ironworkers and a few showed up (others went running). Boris arrived to carefully size up the work. He took measurements, photos and assessed the tasks involved and then forwarded a detailed quote. - That alone meant a lot because all others just scribbled an email with number$ while still others mouthed off a dollar amount with few details and without ever taking measurements (weird). So I hired these guys and just a few days later the team arrived to start the process and the great things I saw immediately and overall were as follows: 1) They work as a team, 2) They had a clear plan of how to break this complex project into a path to completion, 3) They came equipped for surprises - because even the most exact measurements can be off by a half inch - They were ready to fabricate and adjust ON-SITE - and that's what they did - There was no stopping them! When they encountered a problem, they appled creative vision, whipped out the chopper, welder, (whatever) and made it happen - It was really AMAZING! Never once did they need to leave for a tool or extra material. The entire project took just FOUR visits....that alone is incredible for the work involved. In the end, as you can see from the photo, I ended up with exactly what I had asked for... And the material they use is SOLID --- not some hollow crap. That small deck could probably hold up the house! And the fire escape is not going anywhere! To summarize - If you need wrought iron work carefully consider what's involved. In my opinion that is a firm that: 1) actually comes out to see the work beforehand, arrives to take measurements and pictures and gives a detailed proposal at a fair price, 2) CAN FABRICATE ON-SITE -- this is so important, otherwise if something is off or needs to be modified, they'll be gone for weeks! I would highly recommend giving Boris a call for any project, of any size. He and his team will make it happen!

    Oquendo Fence
I was very pleased with the job. The fence was installed perfectly. The owner was always there throughout the installation and they cleaned the work area and left the job site very neat. I highly recommend this fencing company. Will hire them again in the future.

    Al-Arsh Construction Corp
Wonderfully. The Al-Arsh crew is always reliable, prompt, professional and highly-skilled. Their work is always done exceptionally well and the owner, Malik, always makes sure it is finished to perfection. Even when we needed something tweaked or if plans changed after they finished, they come and do whatever is needed when needed, cheerfully. Their prices are more than fair and they guarantee their work. We have had Al-Arsh do work for us over the years totaling at least $250K and we ALWAYS chose them.

    North Shore Fence
Awesome. The estimate with Erik was great- he asked a lot of important questions that I hadn't considered. I'm attached on both sides, so placement matters. Also, we discussed the grading of my property, as it slants to the side. I have a very difficult schedule, but he was able to get the materials ready and have the fence installed about 2 weeks later. I really appreciated this, because otherwise I would have had to wait until the Spring! The men showed up on time, worked diligently, and cleaned up after they left. I thought the price was very fair- both for labor and materials. Materials were high quality. I had an excellent experience, and would highly recommend this company. Beautiful work. I am so pleased with my new fence. Completely transformed my previously ugly backyard. Truly stunning.

    Olympic Fence
Overall the job and their work were great. A 5 man crew arrived early the day of and pretty much worked non-stop till they completed the job at around 7p. The crew went about their business and were courteous. Even though an owner/manager did not come at all to the site on that day, which made me nervous initially, everything went smoothly regardless. The workers knew what they had to do based on what the owner/manager and myself discussed weeks earlier.
There were 3 to 4 weeks between spec-ing out the job and the actual install. The company's responsiveness between that time and trying to settle on an install date, which was understandably weather dependent, was lagging. Of course, it was the start of their busy season so it's acceptable to a certain degree.
Although the quality of their work was very good and I was very happy (as was the case with the fencing product itself), right after the install I noticed that the plastic strips that bookend each lattice section was loose and one actually flew away into the common driveway behind my property. That just may be the nature of the fencing and the lattice, but I would think if that were the case they would take extra care in making sure that wouldn't happen. However, when I did mention the issue to the owner/manager he sent someone soon after while we were away to glue those strips and keep them from moving. That helped for a little while, but about a month later they mostly got loose again at which point I used silicone myself to keep them in place. That so far has worked.
The other issue was that all the caps on my door and gates, which happen to be the smaller caps, were not glued or were but kept slowly prying off. This could've also been due to the heat of the summer, but I don't believe it should've happened regardless. I eventually also used silicone to keep them in place.

    All Island Fence and Railings
The sales rep - Bob - seemed very nice and accommodating.  He gave me an estimate for when they would come and the week before I was called and told they would come on the following Monday between 1 and 3.  I had a prior appointment scheduled for the morning which I GLADLY would have moved if they were coming in the morning as I had been anxiously awaiting the installation of the new fence - we have numerous spring projects hinging on its completion.
Fast forward to the day of, I'm at my morning appointment and I get a call on my cell that they're outside my house.  I told the caller - who didn't introduce himself - that I was told the project wasn't starting until 1.  He said, "OK", and hung up.  I arrived home at 12:30 and waited until about 2:30.  Then I called the sales rep who suggested I call the office.  I spoke with the office manager who said she would call the team and get back to me.  She called a little while later and seemed confused that I was given a specific time for the start.  Then she put me on hold and the scheduler - DON - got on the phone.
Don told me that he NEVER would have given me a time window like that and that I should have been there in the morning.  I said that I would have been there had I been told that's when they were coming.  He asked if I had received a confirmation call, I had, there was no time given [which didn't seem odd since I already had a time and why would I assume there was a discrepancy].   I find it difficult to believe that I fabricated the time window.
Then, he said he could put me on the schedule for the following week which was unacceptable as we had other commitments.  He said he was sorry but that's all he could do.  I was frustrated and said, "you're not sorry", and then he said, "You know what?  You're right!  Personally, I'M NOT SORRY."
So, I said goodbye and called Bob and demanded my money back.  Bob seemed beside himself, said he would call me back after speaking with the owner.  He called late that night and left a message.  I spoke with him the next morning and he said they could do it on Friday (today) and would that be OK.  I said yes - thank you.
As of 11 am this morning (today is Friday!), they still hadn't shown up.  I called Bob, left a message, he didn't call back.  My husband called 30 minutes later, spoke to Bob, who is surprised no one is here, and says he'll get back to us.  Turns out, that when he called to reschedule us they said Friday meaning NEXT Friday.  He thought they meant THIS Friday and booked us in.
I have no patience for this.  First off, their communication skills are atrocious.  Secondly, the rudeness of their scheduler was absolutely unacceptable.  Thirdly, WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THEIR SCHEDULING?  I've worked for 2 different construction firms, hired numerous contractors, and I work in an appointment based industry.  I have never seen a more poorly operated business.
Their prices may seem reasonable but their service is deplorable.  I advise you to not use this company.

    Oquendo Fence
Very well. Edgar came for an estimate which was a good price as I had a number of estimates, was able to do the work within the week. Some fence places won't even come out to give you an estimate, but gave you the estimate on the phone with the usual, but if there is an issue, it could be more. I am very happy with the gate and my dogs can't get out and wander down the driveway. They were quick and clean and easy to deal with. The job was done properly. I highly recommend him!
