    LOWES
They did a great job. There was a bit of a problem with some of the items that were to be delivered. However it was resolved. I would definitely recommend them and hire them again for future projects.

    Jazz Hardwood Floors Inc
John did an excellent job. He had to carefully move the refrigerator. Than carefully cut through old damaged boards. He replaced what he cut out with new boards. He also did the same with two boards that show in a high traffic area. The replacement looks perfect to me. Most contractors would not do this small job. He also arrived on time.

    Sullivan Interior Finishing
This was the second job that we hired Joel and his crew to do: The first was a bathroom remodel in 2014, and that was such a positive experience for us that we had zero hesitation asking Joel to do our kitchen remodel as well. Like the bathroom, this was a full demolition, down to the studs, and a rebuild from scratch. We used Homecrest cabinets, Cambria synthetic quartz countertops, and Armstrong luxury vinyl floors, and installed an externally vented range hood. All were installed with precision and impressive attention to detail. Unusual items on this job were a Fisher-Paykel drawer dishwasher, which required custom cabinet work, and a backsplash made with hand-made tile imported from Spain. The tile is not only expensive, but it's difficult to deal with, since every tile is slightly different from every other tile. I'm pretty sure that a contractor of lesser skill would have been entirely unable to deal with the installation, but Derek's tilework was flawless, and made the space extraordinary. (We especially appreciated Karl's inventive and artistic touches with the paint! ) The work crew, led by Derek, was unfailingly punctual, neat, and polite. We really appreciated the lack of cigarette smoke of any kind, even in the yard. We had no qualms about leaving Derek with a house key and leaving town for a week while construction was underway, and we were not disappointed: the crew acted with perfect responsibility at all times. Sullivan Interior Finishing is highly recommended. No, they're not cheap, but you get every bit of what you pay for.

    FLOSS HARDWOOD FLOORS INC
He did not allow time for the moisture content in the flooring to equalize and it cupped days after install. He denied responsibility and did nothing to correct the defective floor. The pieced in repairs to the other room were done well.

    Advantage Hardwood Floors
Dave and his crew arrived exactly at time promised. They removed the old flooring and installed a beautiful new hardwood floor in both rooms. Because of high winds and heavy snow predicted on the 2nd day of installation, Dave put on extra guys to complete the job on day one. His whole team did a wonderful job. They cleaned everything up, moved all the appliances back and was out of the house by 3pm. I would highly recommend Advantage Hardwood Flooring....Thanks Dave!

    Sullivan Interior Finishing
After getting several estimates, I chose Sullivan's because Joel gave a very thorough inspection of the problems, had excellent previous reviews, and was clear about possible changes once the walls and floor were opened up. I prefer contractors who have done and continue to do the work rather than just salesmen. (Also I was put off by another highly rated contractor who ran down others' work and implied that only he does it right.) Joel made a whole gallery of his past work available. He was able to work around my schedule which included some work-related travel, and the work was actually finished while I was away; during that time I received daily messages and pictures as the work continued. Joel and his crew were all very proficient, attentive to detail, and courteous. I approved of paying for the work and purchasing the materials from recommended sources, rather than having some level of materials included in the estimate and then paying for "upgrades" as some contractors do. The two crew members who did most of the tile installation consulted me on several options of tile placement. The finished work is really beautiful while it was a financial stretch for me, I am sure that it has greatly enhanced the value of my house.

    Pro Kitchen Renovation
Randy was extremely professional day one. His costs wee reasonable considering all the work we had done. He was very clear about what would be done and and what the cost would be. He came in at under half of what Ivy-Lea quoted us. He always showed p on time andwas very clear about what the timeline would be. I could not be happier and would recommend him to anybody.

Painting & Handyman - Small Restore LLC
It was the best experience I ever had with a "handyman". Ilya, the owner of "small restore" came out to the house over a period of about 2 weeks. He fixed whatever I wanted. He is very good at dovetailing several jobs, skilled, and knows what materials and tools are the best for the job at hand. He works meticulously and cleanly:everything looked great including the house even before the job was finished.. Clean-up was also amazing!

    CORNERSTONE BUILDERS
. History of Association with Michael: Approximately, 14 years ago Michael installed composite deck flooring; the workmanship and attention to detail as well as the pricing was satisfactory--except that after the job was complete, he said that he underestimated the cost and requested an additional $100. I was pleased with his performance and had no reason to question the additional charge. Through the years I needed some relatively small repairs  on a repeated basis and called upon Michael. Gradually, he was less conscientious about getting back to me and the quality of the work was not always well done. Nevertheless, I continued to call; as a senior citizen, it seemed too much trouble to find someone else .

As noted above, when the original request for the framing was made, I asked Michael to take care of some small jobs; e.g., painting the top rail of a deck and two deck stairs. He did so--in late November after heavy rains. Needless to say, the paint was peeling in the Spring. In reviewing this complaint, I recalled that on virtually every occasion when Michael did work for me over the years, he came up short on the estimate; that is, he said that the job cost more than he initially figured. Maybe this was a coincidence. I did not complain to him, because each time I believed what he told me. Fact is, only now have I realized there may be a pattern here.
