    Richard Miller
He arrived for the estimate on time, was friendly and knowledgeable. He gave an estimate of $1200 and set a date to begin work. On that day he was a no-show with no call. He did not respond to calls from my son-in-law.

    Hibbard Home Improvement
Hibbard Home Improvement did our master bath remodel two years ago. We were very happy with their work & have now hired them for a second bath remodel. The guys show up on time each morning, work efficiently all day & clean up the work space at the end of the work day. Dale has been very fair & direct with pricing and flexible in scheduling his crew, especially when there has been unexpected issues.

    Sullivan Interior Finishing
This was the second job that we hired Joel and his crew to do: The first was a bathroom remodel in 2014, and that was such a positive experience for us that we had zero hesitation asking Joel to do our kitchen remodel as well. Like the bathroom, this was a full demolition, down to the studs, and a rebuild from scratch. We used Homecrest cabinets, Cambria synthetic quartz countertops, and Armstrong luxury vinyl floors, and installed an externally vented range hood. All were installed with precision and impressive attention to detail. Unusual items on this job were a Fisher-Paykel drawer dishwasher, which required custom cabinet work, and a backsplash made with hand-made tile imported from Spain. The tile is not only expensive, but it's difficult to deal with, since every tile is slightly different from every other tile. I'm pretty sure that a contractor of lesser skill would have been entirely unable to deal with the installation, but Derek's tilework was flawless, and made the space extraordinary. (We especially appreciated Karl's inventive and artistic touches with the paint! ) The work crew, led by Derek, was unfailingly punctual, neat, and polite. We really appreciated the lack of cigarette smoke of any kind, even in the yard. We had no qualms about leaving Derek with a house key and leaving town for a week while construction was underway, and we were not disappointed: the crew acted with perfect responsibility at all times. Sullivan Interior Finishing is highly recommended. No, they're not cheap, but you get every bit of what you pay for.

    CJ Aaron Remodeling Inc
The owner leaves little up to chance, is responsive to the client and oversees the work done by his men at least twice a day.
He researched and bought the materials used.
I recommend C.J.Aaron for remodeling and repair and plan to  ask them for further projects.

    Handyman Extraordinaire
GREAT!!!  He was easy to communicate with and wanted to satisfy me by doing a good job with the repairs.  Mike was even agreeable to doing a few extra things that weren't on the originals "to do" list.  He was prompt and kept his word for the start date.

    Besroi Construction Corp
We needed to replace all of the siding, soffits, window trim, gutters, shutters, front door, etc. on our 1958 house.  Obviously, this was going to be a very large and expensive project for us, and not having ever re-sided a house before, I had questions.  As I was asking the estimator questions, he was smiling and in my impression, smug.  He said he would mail the quote.  He said if I had any questions about it to "call the office and one of the "girls" could answer most of my questions.  I didn't receive it for over a week, it was higher than all the others, and at that point I was not interested in using them for our work anyways.  If you want me to give you my trust and hard earned money, that's not the way to do it!
We ended up using Dalex Construction, because when the owner himself came to give us the quote, he actually came in the house, showed me samples, explained the process, got up on a ladder and toured the house, gave me suggestions, etc.  Probably spent over an hour the first visit to talk with me and wrote up the quote on the spot.

    Vincent's Handyman Service
We had 3 quotes from 3 handymen. Vincent was the lowest price, and came well recommended on Angie's List. He did everything he said he'd do, when he said he would do it. He even threw in a minor repair to the vestibule for no extra charge. I recommend Vincent highly. He was respectful, courteous and efficient.

    Kaz Companies Inc
Kaz Brothers in-house plumber was not licensed in Amherst, so they used an outside plumber who was. His work was shoddy and substandard. Our water pressure to the upstairs is now significantly lower than it has ever been. The plumber suggested that we need all of our old existing iron pipes replaced. I checked our water pressure in the line and it read 58psi - normal for the town of Amherst. The remodel included removing the existing radiator and replacing it with a small unit located on the floor underneath the new vanity with an integrated cylindrical fan - impossible to access until they came back and cut out a panel on the vanity base and put in an access plate. But the drawers and drawer glides have to be removed in order to remove the plate. The radiators in the house were never bled properly by the plumber and no bleeder valve had ever been put on the new heater.  This resulted in a continuing gurgling sound every time the unit cycled. On a return trip, the plumber put in the valve but never bled or recharged the line. I've tried bleeding it and re-charging the water, but it has continued to gurgle which is more of an annoyance than anything else.In the final analysis, Kaz Brothers does good work and are very professional along with being a bit pricey. I would never have them do any more work for us which involved any plumbing.

    American Fence Co
Things went quite well. The work was completed promptly and the job appears to have been well done. The workers were professional and behaved courteously. They were careful to remove all debris and to clean up after themselves. I was pleased with the outcome.
