    D Allen & Sons Contracting
Great D Allen and sons were quicck to respond, professional and trustworthy. Clearly the best value after recieving 3 estimates. They completed work despite our volatile weather conditions. Licensed, insured and they do what they say they are gonna do! Highest recommendation from me. I felt compelled to offer this review, tho i never had before

Great! I'm a retired skilled tradesman. I know perfection when I see it. Every step by the book. Everything completed in one (long) day, including chimney rebuild & reflashing siding @ inside corners. Crew worked like a Swiss watch, quite conversation, no swearing. Very happy with cleanup too.

John was punctual and informative. He did a very thorough evaluation of the chimney on the exterior and interior of my home. He checked out the exhaust pipes venting from the furnace ; hot water tank, and checked the fireplace. He spent a lot of time and explained how things work and what to look out for. He seemed to know his stuff, however John's was the only estimate out of four that recommended removing the chimney canopy and replacing the chimney crown. He may be correct but for now we decided to take a less drastic approach. John did not directly pressure; more so it was information overload. Since we did not hire him at this time, I cannot speak for the quality of work. We were quoted a price of $4200 -$4600 to remove the canopy and replace the chimney crown and flue covers. He stated that he would keep notes of the project on file should we decide to hire him. I want to thank him for his time. I chose a waterproofing technique recommended by another professional that was much more cost effective and it worked just fine for now. I was told it is part of normal chimney maintenance every few years. I can live with that.

Not good.  The provider was very sloppy in his work (concrete spilled on a finished patio / cigarette butts all over the yard / pop cans left and buried in the walls of the grill area) as well as he miscalculated the size of the built in.  Due to the providers miscalculations the grill area could not have a countertop overhang and more disappointedly the grill doors would not open (can not access the drip trays).  When called to fix the door area, provider took a week to respond.  After a week, provider took it upon himself to go to my house, without anyone present, to "fix" the door problem.  Provider then responded via a text stating "fixed door area but it takes some force".  When i got home to check the door i saw a gouge in my the door of my brand new Weber grill and the stone work haphazardly chiseled around the grill.  The door would in fact open but not all the way and I did / do need to force out the drip trays.    I have since twice called and several text the provider about the grill door to come to a resolution.  The provider will not answer my call or text's and it has been over two weeks since my last attempt, and still no response.

    Integrated Home Improvements
During a recent December rainstorm and despite a recently re-done roof, I had water leaking into the house and staining my ceiling in the vicinity of my large chimney. It was a chimney installed in 1956; it had one actual flue and two "fake" flues apparently installed for decorative purposes.
I crawled up into my attic during the storm and saw water clearly coming in around the chimney. I could see even below the roof line that the chimney was in bad shape. I found John on Angie's List and contacted him. He was very responsive, and because I had pictures to show him of the situation, he was able to give me a price very quickly. It was a price I thought fair. John kept me informed of when he was coming and he and his assistant arrived as promised. They professionally removed the chimney to below roof line and installed a gas vent according to code. All materials were cleaned up and recycled as promised. I highly recommend John as being prompt, professional and reliable.

    Romeo's Superior Home Improvements
After a major winter in our area, many homes were in need of roof repairs. I was told by two of the more visible companies in our town that I would have to wait 6 weeks for an estimate. My third phone call, which was to Romeo's, resulted in a return phone call later that day and a visit from Romeo the next day. I discovered that Romeo has developed a network of trusted tradesmen that he works with which allows him to estimate jobs more quickly. I found Romeo to be friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He was able to talk to me about my roof repairs AND my concrete/mortar needs because of his background in both fields. Romeo had masons and roofers coordinated for the next few weeks to finish my work and he made regular visits to make sure I was happy with the results. I found that all of the tradesmen that worked on my house were also clean, professional and skilled. I also appreciated the patience of the men during a few of the jobs that needed a bit more detail and attention.

    Magic Stone General Contracting

From the original meeting and estimate, Kaied Morshed was very professional, punctual and knowledgeable.   His crew showed up exactly when they said they would and they rebuilt my chimney in one day.    They did a beautiful job and cleaned up my yard even though it was dark by the time they finished.   Kaied Morshed, the owner, called the next day to be sure we were happy with the results - which we were.    I would absolutely hire them again and would recommend them to anyone who needs this kind of work done.

finally got them to come out after several calls with the salesman.  When they finally came to do the work one of the workers had to constantly leave as they didn't have the correct materials.  I questioned their work as I could still see light coming through from the inside of the house and they said it was not.  Needless to say when it rained it did leak and we had to have a new repair man come out who just filled everything with caulk and still a slight leak.  Called and left message and that was about 2 months ago and still no contact.  Also, I have never had my gutters replaced and am not willing to keep trying to contact them.  Terrible experience.  The reason I did not press to have the initial visit immediately was because the salesman stated he had some personal family issues so I gave him the benefit of the doubt and now I am paying the price for being empathetic.

    Empire Chimney & Fireplace
When you find a service organization that knows what it is doing, finds an ingenious way to resolve a tricky problem, tells you when they will do it and are punctual, does the job so that it will last for a good while without rebuilding the whole structure, and prices the job reasonably considering the time and materials used, you are speaking of this firm. I was extremely impressed with their work.

I am a former, retired construction superintendent and have worked with many contractors so I investigate in depth to ensure they are qualified. Of the thirty I investigated only six stood out, and of those, Dalex provided the best offer. After comparing competitor's offerings they provided higher quality materials for the best price. I found Dimitry, Alex, and the "Carpenter" Dimitry to be technically competent, punctual and honest. They and the crew performed their work professionally and affirmed my trust in their abilities. Their provided extensive protection to my siding and landscaping during demolition and a great cleanup. I inspected the job and was pleased with their workmanship. I also sought the view of another technically competent inspector and he agreed they had done a good job. My wife and I have received many compliments from complete strangers passing our home. I highly recommend Dalex.
