He then came into house and threw excess panel a installed shut off value. Charge 330.00 and now I have to hire a person to repair under belly insulation barrier which will cost over 1200.00, and I still do not have water in my bathroom. Total cost for both visit 560.00 and still no water, and no insulation under the mobile home for winter, I believe they are hoping I will call them for frozen pipes.

    McFall Does It All
Well he first wanted the money for the plumber to put in the hot water tank, Mans name was Mike' works for Five Star Bank, took them two weeks to get to the house, all the while saying they were coming every day. When Mike put in the hot water tank, he put in one that had a 6 year warranty instead of the 15 year one that I wanted (that's my fault he says). Now for the condensate pump which was wired to the furnace. Nope, he put the condensate pump next to the furnace, threw the line that brings the condensate from the furnace in the corner of the cellar, wrapped the cord around the pipe in the basement, DISCONNECTED our sump pump, took that electrical connection and plugged it into the furnace. Meanwhile the water from the furnace was just dripping on the floor. Rick and his brother came, told me they would fix it, took my furnace book, and left. They then called me and accused me of tampering with what Mike did. Therefore, it was my fault and not their's.
Also while this was going on they were putting in windows, b******* all the while. Rick's brother kept on complaining about doing the work. When I went to look at the garage windows there was a quarter inch gap around the window. Rick's brother told me to put a curtain around it. Really, they put no insulation at all in the gap (that I had bought). They were working on the house windows when I caught this, what a mess. In the bathroom, they ripped out the window, busted my wood wall put holes in it all around the frame where they used a crowbar to get the window out. They they proceed to put the window in, and took sheet metal screws and put in my molding. The sheet metal screws are about  a quarter of a inch wide in the frame all around. Just a mess, put no insulation in. When approached, got told to put curtains on it. Really, they don't care about the gaps, live with it.  No, then Rick's brother threw the hammer and left, one window just set in the frame with nothing to hold it in, and then they all left, never to return. When I called, they told me that I was unreasonable and watched them too much. When I asked about the molding, gaps, and busted wall they told me its what I deserved for watching them too closely!
I had to have all the windows taken out and reput in by a reputable contractor, a plumber come in and fix the plumbing, never again MC FALL!!

    ORECK
I took my dyson in because it had lost suction. I went here because I had had it repaired elsewhere and that wasn't successful so I thought I would have a better experience here. The Oreck Repair shop is close to my new home and advertises that they fix all models. To be fair, the counterperson said that it took a long time to get Dyson parts when I dropped it off approx. March 8. I went back on April 5 and surprise, surprise--the much needed last part needed had just came in that morning. Giving them 10 minutes, i left only to return to a completely broken Dyson because a crucial piece of plastic had been snapped off. It is now in worse shape than when I went in.
They offered to fix it at no cost but I asked for my $152 back, took my now useless $600 vacuum cleaner to the car and left. Actually, they loaded it for me.
I left because I have no faith that they know anything about vacuum repairs. My advice? Stay away.

Once the roofing job was completed at my parent's home and they had gone on to their next job - a sheriff's vehicle pulled in looking for them to serve papers.  Turns out they had received a deposit approx 1 year prior for work on another home and hadn't even started the work yet and the homeowner's wanted their deposit back.  Fast forward a month and the roof is has started leaking from time to time during hard rain storms.  When an extended family member (who had since started a contracting business), went onto the roof to see if he could figure out why it was leaking - he found that the roof was put on incorrectly!  He did some temporary fixes to prevent future leaks, but the only real fix will be a new roof!

You could tell this crew knew what they were doing. Worked quickly and did a very nice job. My only small quirk was on downpouts not fastened to downspouts good enough (only fastened with small screws that loosened up and had to be replaced with rivets).

    PETERSON LANDSCAPING
This company had been mowing my lawn for the entire 2010 and 2011 summers at a rate of $35.00 + tax per mow. I called and left several messages on their answering machine and with a woman in the spring of this year (2012) stating that I was leaving for a 2 week vacation, so the lawn needed to be mowed and I would like them to do it all summer again. I did not receive a response. I went through the same process with them in the previous year, leaving messages and getting no response before I left for vacation at the exact same time of year. But, last year when I returned from vacation they had mowed the lawn, therefore, I thought the same thing would have happened this year. However, when I returned from vacation this spring the grass was tall and they had not mowed the lawn. I immediately called the company and finally spoke to the owner, Dennis Peterson, who told me that they would not be mowing my lawn that summer because they were too busy. I told him that they should have called me back to let me know they wouldn't be mowing it and asked if they could at least come mow it once to get it down for me so I could make other arrangements. He agreed to come that afternoon, May 18th, which he did and mowed it but he did not weed-whack like they usually do. Two months later I received a bill for $97.20 from them that stated it was for mowing done over Memorial Day Weekend. First of all, the mowing was done on May 18th, the day after I returned from vacation, NOT OVER MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND. Second of all, he did not even weed-whack and he was charging me almost three times as much as he did in the two previous summers without advance notice. So, I sent them a check for $27.00 ($35.00 minus weed-whacking) along with a courteous letter explaining why $97.20 was an excessive amount to charge me for mowing one time. A few days later I was awakened early in the morning by Dennis Peterson angrily pounding on my front door. When I opened the door he began yelling at me using profanity saying that he was going to put a lien on my house if I didn't pay the $97. He then left the check for $27.00 with the letter I sent on my front porch and sped off squealing his tires.Later that day I called him and tried to reason with him, asking if we could meet half way, but he said that he would rather take me to court. So, although it is totally against my principles to placate a bully, I decided that rather than waste another minute of my life dealing with this unscrupulous character, I just sent him the $97.20.

They called me before my appointment to let me know that they had a cancellation and could come about on an earlier date to clean my carpets. I was very happy to have them cleaned ASAP. They were very professional and friendly.  I will definitely use their service in the future.

    Lightner Home Improvement
The entire experience with this company was terrible! When they did show up, they showed up late and left early. Bill Lightner, the owner, was never around and impossible to get ahold of. Everything, from the insulation to the railing, was installed incorrectly, shoddily, and left incomplete. DO NOT HIRE!!!
