Sharon was very knowledgeable on this topic. Many movies and learned new things and I have been driving for over 30 years. She was friendly outgoing.

My son enrolled with PAS and they were very poor in their communications with the students and parents, which caused a lot of confusion for those of us involved. When I suggested to the manager that he create an email mailing list to convey vital dates and information to students and parents, he said "that would happen in a perfect world", but then said he would not do it.  He also said "you know how teenagers can be" in response to me telling him that my son was unclear about how to get his 5-hr road test form.  The in-car instructor told the kids in my son's car that he was bringing them back early each session because it was dark out and "not safe" to drive with them.  15 hours of night-time instruction are required and PAS scheduled night classes.  When I called PAS to complain they agreed that the instructor was out-of-line. The classroom instruction ended 30-45 minutes early almost each of the sessions- causing approx 8 hours of lost instruction time.  During the orientation session with PAS, they said 24 hours of classroom instruction were "required", but the instructor clearly didn't take that seriously.  Also, the same video was shown two weeks in a row and the kids were most often very bored in class.  They didn't find it instructional or engaging.  It's also important to mention that the final written test, which the students must pass with a minimum score of 65 was a TAKE HOME FINAL.  How does that gage whether-or-not the students really know the material? The vast majority of drive time was done on the same back road practicing parallel parking or pulling into parking spots at a local grocery store.  They did do some merging lane practice, but on a road with very little traffic.  There was no driving in heavy traffic, no real merging, no highway, no back country roads (which many of us live on), etc.  We were promised that the students would encounter a variety of driving experiences, but that absolutely did not happen.  Parallel parking is a convenience - learning to control a vehicle in a variety of driving conditions saves lives.  PAS is teaching convenience.  And the driving instructor was not engaging or instructional. Scheduling missed driving classes was very difficult (missed due to holiday, weather, illness, and instructor cancellation).  And once my son had completed everything, we were told that his final paperwork (which would allow him to get his senior license) wouldn't be processed until EVERYONE had made up their classes, no matter how long that took.  So my son had to wait another two months before he could get him senior license.   PAS was difficult to deal with, the cost was absolutely not worth it, my son is no better prepared as a driver after his time with them (except for his parallel parking ability), and I don't feel they are doing a valid service to our teens.
