I love him and he is great. He is very smart and he really explained what he was going to be doing as far as my surgery was concerned. He explained everything and was upfront and honest. He genuinely cares about his patients. He has an assistant who is also good. They follow up with you and they return your calls the same day.

The surgery went well. I had back fusion to the L3,L4,L5 WITH CAGES AND SCREWS. The spinalstinosis help so much for the morning awaking. He is an excellent Doctor. I recommend him very highly. My life is so much better.

The back surgery was amazing. He is amazing. I saw him 6 or 7 months ago originally. I had seen 4 doctors and after looking over my MRI he gave me the best outcome and ideas. He is super thorough and very straightforward. He listened very well and told me exactly what he thought. He didn't lie to me; He said it was a 50/50 chance because I had already had back surgery before. He was very honest with everything; they didn't try to promise me anything. The surgery experience went very well and they had everything situated before I ever went in so I didn't have to worry when I got there. The staff was really good and sent me everything I needed. The hospital experience was crazy good. I've never been in the hospital and had such great care. When I saw him afterwards, he checked everything and listened to all my concerns. They have been great all around. I am actually back to work after 3 months after having surgery. I would definitely use him again.

I am having back surgery with him next week.  He is excellent.  He did what he said he was going to do and it worked.  I had back surgery a couple of years ago with another doctor and everything he said didn't work.  In fact, he put a lot of hardware wrongly.  I had all the hardware removed, that worked for me.  This had resulted in me being castrating for almost 5 years.  Making the long story short, after having the hardware out, I don't have that kind of pain anymore.  Now, I will be going in as one another problem on my back needs to be taken care of, but he could do until I got all the hardware out.  I would rate him excellent overall.  He is pretty easy to get in and see him.  The office environment is good and up-to-date and staffs are friendly.  He is very conveniently located.  He has another location not far from his main office at the Omni Pain Center.  They have labs and accessories in there.  He can do all kinds of things in there that he can't do in his office.  He really makes it very convenient.  His bedside manner is good and very easy to talk to.  He answers to all my questions.  His treatment has been pretty effective so far.  For the first time in 5 years I can stand straight.  I had no problems with his billing and administration offices.  I will keep on using him if I need to.

    UB Neurosurgery
The staff of UB Neurosurgery was very good. They were very professional and they have a very good surgeon. He's very no non-sense, very upfront. He explained everything to be done. He did what he said he's going to do. He has a good staff. They were very responsible, good and very well organized nurse practitioners.

I'm writing this eight months after surgery so I have a good perspective on the results. I had spinal stenosis (compression) that had been progressing for six years and it was time to do something about it when I felt tingling in my left arm. I got an appointment within a week with Dr. Denhaese, he looked at the old and new MRI's and said and quot;We need to take care of thisand quot;. He explained everything in detail: Best case and worst case scenarios of fusing C3-C5 vertebrae using drawings, diagrams and plastic models. The surgery took 40 minutes, I was in the hospital overnight (Dr. is cautious) and was up and around in a few days. I never had any pain in the neck from the surgery itself! I’m happy to say that I'm living the best case scenario: It took a while for the throat to heal and swallowing to come back to normal, but my pain is completely gone, my range of motion is 100%, and at eight months, I still have some tingling but my muscles in the shoulder are coming back. The recovery starts at about six months and can continue for over a year. Dr. DenHaese did a perfect job! You will like him. Great person.

I am still recovering from the surgery - it can take up to 2 years. I am still taking medication to control break-through pain and discomfort. My situation is not unique, but also not common. The staff at the neuro-oncological clinic at Roswell has assured me that they will take my calls and schedule visits as needed. I know from experience that they are as good as their word.

I made an appt. (after much hassle.  I had to leave a voicemail and no one called me back.  Then I used their patient portal only to receive a reply to call them!  I replied that they needed to call me since they don't seem to return phone calls).  I was advised by the scheduler that she'd call the imaging center to find out about a previous MRI and would call me to advise whether I needed a new one due to its age.  I never got a call back but the imaging center told me they had the films ready so I assumed they had spoken to her and all was well.  So I went to the imaging center to pick up the MRI.  Some time later I got a voicemail that my appt. time was changed to 8:30a on the same day.  I thought this was good news that I would be in and out more quickly but turned out they changed it to a PA instead of the Neuro without my knowledge or consent. When I realized I was seeing a PA instead of the Neuro at the time of the appointment, I raised an objection.  She ended the consult and said she would find the manager.  I had a lengthy discussion with the manager who explained how these types of appointments generally work, none of which was conveyed prior to the appointment.  I also advised her of the unprofessional scheduler who didn't explain anything and made the appointment with the Neuro even though this apparently was not standard practice.  Nevertheless, since I was already there, I stayed and had the consult. I'm still not sure I'll continue with this practice but felt it was important to share my story so others know what to watch out for.  Bottom line, scheduling and patient management is a nightmare.  Even after I left the exam room and went to see a scheduler, she couldn't figure out when I was supposed to come back and then wanted to have someone call me (like that would happen).  I finally talked her into giving me an appointment anyway while they figure out the other logistics which included getting a new MRI and some physical therapy.  Really she should have figured all this out or grabbed the PA if it wasn't clear.   If you go to this center, be careful and be clear and be in control of what you want.  That may be the only way you get results.  I also want to add that I've used their spa services and functional medicine without incident so it's not the whole business, just apparently parts that need fixing.

The appointment went well for the consultation, but I felt as through surgery was not an option I wanted to explore before non-abrasive treatment/therapy options. Dr. Landi was very informative and had a friendly personality.

    Walter Grand MD
I reported to Millard Fillmore Gates Hosptial at 8:00 am for my surgery that was scheduled for 10:30am. I was put on the hardest bed in the world for two hours and was told I would be spending the night in the hospital. Okay that was fine with me because after back surgery I was not looking forward to a 2 hour ride home. I was brought down to the surgical unit at 10:30 am but Dr. Grand never showed up until almost 11:30. What was suppose to be a 2 hour surgery turned into almost 5 hours he then went and told my parents what he had done in doctor terms and then told them I would be ready to go in an hour or so. I never seen Dr. Grand after the surgery until my office appointment 4 weeks later. He released me from the hospital the same day of surgery at almost 10:00 at night. With no pain medication or anything. I then called his office the next day and told them I was out of my pain medication and needed a refill they said they would get it in the mail right away I said okay but was there anything we could do in the mean time becasue the mail would take a few days and I had all I could do to get out of bed and go to the bathroom. So they called me in an emergency prescription that would last 5 days that was fine. Well 5 days later I still had not received my prescription. So I called them back and was told it had been sent I told them I should have received it by now. This went on until I seen the Doctor 4 weeks later with them telling me the prescription had been sent. Still to this day after having seen him twice he still has not explained to me exactly what he did. I keep asking him to. I have also told him of issues I am having and he keeps brushing me off with well it takes up to 6 months to heal.
