    Joanna's Tailor Shop
I did not use their services myself but anytime I was too busy to accommodate, I would refer customers to Joanna's who were happy with the service. He worked very hard to accommodate their schedules as it was usually an emergency basis.

They do good work. They are available. They are accommodating. They know what they are doing. They have a couple of changing rooms, so, you can try things on, and they mark it right there for you. For me, it is a distance issue which is why I used someone else when I needed something and I did not have the time to drive out there. That is because I am near downtown Buffalo area and she is down in Main Street, but I prefer going to her.

    Designs In Blinds & Drapes
I opted to purchase cellular blinds for our newly constructed home from Design in Blinds over other competitors because of the high rating they have on Angie's list.  Their estimate was only $2 higher than one we received from Budget Blinds in Westborough who wasn't rated on Angie's at the time.  We're setting up our new home while still living out of state, so how a company treats its customers was as important to us, if not more so, than price. We had an issue come up with our purchase that made us very glad that we made that a priority. I'm not saying I didn't like talking with Budget Blinds; they were very professional, too, but for buying blinds for the entire house the ratings on Angie's List tipped the balance towards Design in Blinds for me. The issue that came up for us resulted from my fabric selection for the blinds. There are so many choices and no matter what company you go with, most of the samples open up to about the size of a large index card, so it isn't easy if you don't want anything but a clinical white color which is what I was trying to avoid. I instead selected what I thought was a blind that would have just a hint of gray to it. I stayed away from the off-whites or tans because I was trying to avoid yellow tones.  My salesperson, Chris, put a rush on my order so that we could have some privacy and security for the house quicker.  The blinds came in under three weeks and installation went without any problems, but I was a bit taken aback at how they looked. Instead of a pale gray, the sun coming through them made them appear a very yellow-green!  I kept looking at them for a couple of hours trying to get used to them and think what I could do to make them go with my furnishings that were not yet in the house, but I have nothing that would remotely work with them, so I was feeling pretty bad. I figured I was going to be stuck with those blinds forever, but when I called Chris about it, he didn't shoot me down, but instead came back out to the house to see for himself. He saw what I was talking about, and without making any promises, said he'd see what he could do with their suppliers. He and the owner of Design in Blinds must have made a lot of phone calls and while the company that supplied the blinds I first bought weren't that helpful, another company made an amazing offer for all new blinds and Design in Blinds offered to cover half of that cost!  To say I was in shock at what they did to help me is an understatement.  It was above and beyond anything I ever expected when the issue wasn't their fault.  If my experience with Design in Blinds doesn't prove to anyone reading this that their rating on Angie's list is well deserved, I don't think anything will.

    COLLANA'S TAILOR SHOP
I have a treasured long wool overcoat that has seen a lot of misadventures. As a result, the lining was torn in several places, and the buttons were all coming loose. I took it to Collana's to see if he could replace it. I wanted to keep the color of the lining as close as possible to the original, so Mr. Collana needed to obtain special fabric, which added a few days to his estimate. But when I picked it up, I was VERY impressed with his work. The new lining is of far better quality than the original, and looks fantastic! I am extremely pleased with the work and will definitely take all alterations and repairs to his shop in the future. A couple of notes - this is a cash only business. No personal checks or credit cards accepted. Also, Mr. Collana has a unique sense of humor, so don't be alarmed if he joshes and flirts with you constantly. He's a real sweetheart.

    LOUIS DRY CLEANERS & TAILORS
Louis Dry Cleaners is a GODSEND! I brought two bridesmaid dresses to Louis after I found out I would be four months pregnant by the time I had to wear them. Other tailors thought he was crazy to even touch the dresses since they required just about every seam to be ripped out to accommodate "the bump." I couldn't believe he somehow altered the dresses to fit! You couldn't see a single stitch that he had altered! One of the bridesmaid dresses was a very awkward fit: the shoulder straps were too long, the back was too big, the bra cups were up in the shoulder straps, and it had an assortment of misplaced pleats. Surprisingly, he made the dress wearable! Louis and all the women who help him in the shop were very nice, pleasant and professional. He had me come in a couple times to try on the dresses as he worked on them. All told, it cost me under $100 for both dresses. WHAT A DEAL! I will definitely be bringing many more items in, since I like dress shopping online but rarely find a perfect fit.

    THUMANS AUTO TRUCK REPAIR
They are extremely honest. They are minimalist, meaning they don't try to add on a whole bunch of work that doesn't need to be done. I completely trust them. It's a very small place, but I really like them, they are really good. They will refer me to others when it is cheaper to someone else. They replaced a radiator for me.

    TOM & LUIGI'S TAILOR SHOP
I'm tall, so I always have to buy extra-long dress pants, which are then TOO long. I could hem them myself, but it's so much easier to stop by the shop and have Tom mark them and fix them. They're usually ready within a few days, and perfect! My daughter was in an out of town wedding, sent her measurements to the bridal shop and received a dress that was at least 2 sizes too big. It seemed like magic how beautifully it turned out! It fit her perfectly after Tom was done with it, and we couldn't even tell that anything had been done to it.

    Alterations By Lena
This shop did a beautiful job for us in a very short amount of time. My husband and I needed some alterations to our formal wear for the Inaugural Ball. We brought in my dress and his tux pants on the Tuesday before and needed them by Thursday afternoon. The pants just needed a hem, but my dress needed a hem and some additional alterations. I'm currently ten weeks pregnant--no cute bump yet--I just look dumpy. My form-fitting floor-length dress wasn't helping. I don't know how they did it--but that dress looked amazing. It was beautifully altered, and whatever they did to hitch up the middle made my figure look like mine again. The pants looked great, too. So, beautiful alterations and short turnaround time--I couldn't ask for better. Also, I found the price to be totally fair.
